   Excellent and unexpected assist for bondage and positioning

   My wife and I already owned one of the smaller Liberator Wedges and so I was thrilled to receive the Liberator Scoop Rocker Position Ramp to try out and put through the paces with my wife in exchange for an honest review. That said, I feel like it’s hard to get into reviewing this product without acknowledging the elephant in the room that is the not insignificant price tag – while economy is relative, there’s no way around the fact that this price point is in a very specific tier. I’ll do my best to review the quality and features here and let you make your own decision on whether it lives up to the value proposition for your spending plans.While I normally would breeze through confirming that Lovehoney ships discreetly (they do: brown box, nondescript return address), I want to note that this ramp arrived in a surprisingly small box. Inside was the removable cloth cover (lovely velvet/flocked material in a luxurious shade of navy blue), the bondage and restraint accessories, the foam wedge itself compressed and wrapped securely in plastic, and some instructions with suggested positions and directions to plump up the ramp. You’re supposed to carefully unwrap the plastic but I missed that step and carefully cut the plastic (oops) but no harm was done and the foam expanded to its full size.Which, size: this puppy is big. Read the dimensions. It’s big. You need to make sure you have a place for this to live. Like the corner of a full size closet or something. Or no concern of anyone ever stumbling into your dungeon. But the plus size there: it’s usable. It’s sturdy. It’s durable. I’m 6’3”, 215 lbs, and I was able to lay torso full atop the flat of the ramp, be tied down and used. So on to its use: the dual sides (rocker and flat) provide a variety of options for positioning for giving, receiving, and sharing in all sorts of pleasure. We plopped it atop the middle of our king size bed and tried all combinations and positions and it was a game change in plenty of areas: positions that normally put strain on back, neck, shoulders, and knees were well-supported in all manner of adjustments, as well as improved access for a variety of oral, vaginal, and anal play. Much fun was had. The velvety cover is quite soft and provides ample friction to keep it in place when placed flat on our mattress. Additionally, we were able to add our existing wedge to the ramp and it held in place quite well for even more position flexibility. The only downside to these traits is that when placed on it’s rocker side on top of our bed the rocking was pretty subtle as movement goes, but could be used to tilt and prop some pillows underneath it held the angle quite well without slipping, sliding, or sinking.As to the accompanying restraints, they affix to the sides of the ramp with hook and loop (aka Velcro) – the entire sides of the ramp serves as the fuzzy side so you can attach the restraints virtually anywhere. I had my doubts about the security of such a method, but they proved unfounded. The Velcro holds securely (I suspect the angle helps) and the straps can be used with the included cuffs via plastic click buckles, or you can use your preferred cuffs via the attached d-rings on each fixture. I suspect the Velcro may wear over time and use (aka not likely suitable for heavy bondage, but functional for casual use at least). Added bonus: when playing with bondage, the ramp serves as an elevated pedestal with the effect of being more prominently on display compared to mattress-bound bondage. This was quite exhilarating for both of us, in either role (sub/dom – we’re both rather switchy). We have yet to put it through a wash, but I have no concerns that following the care instructions will render the desired results. Just from the assembly and use, the quality of stitching and construction seems quite durable and ready to serve for years to come.At the end of the day: the only fault I can possibly find is in wishing the bondage restraints had a more long-term durable attachment method for heavier bondage play, but I think that’s only worth a half star dock on quality and still rounds up to 5 for me. This is a durable, versatile, and attractive addition to any dungeon. And as to that nebulous quality proposition and question of economy: it would be hard to take the plunge on this going in blind, but it’s been a more fun addition than *most* of the other toys and lingerie we’ve purchased in the last year. Yes, it’s a not insignificant investment, but at the equivalent of a handful of quality toys or lingerie sets you’ll likely find it well worth the price of admission.
