This is a beautiful toy, its a gorgeous pale green in the smoothest and silky silicone. Its very sleek and unobtrusive and fits very easily between bodies to pulse and delight.First thing I noticed was that the smart silence works so well that I thought it wasn’t working, then I remembered that it has to touch skin for the vibrations to start! It stops so quick too, it really notices the release of pressure and stops immediately. I’m very impressed with it!The app is so easy to set up and use, the instructions made it really easy and the connection worked great throughout the house. I sometimes just use the app to control the toy so I don’t have to potentially move the toy a smidge and lose the suction. I haven’t had the opportunity to connect long distance but its worked so well so far that I don’t foresee any issues with it. It mostly wouldn’t be how I plan on using it, so I’m not overly bothered but the long distance party connects phone to phone with the device close by the toy, rather than connecting to the toy.I really like that on the app I can set the maximum intensity of the toy so that I’m in full control, even when he is the one using the app. I love the oval shaped protruding head, this helps it get where it needs to go. Brilliant design for fast orgasms
For several years we’ve been fans of clitoral suction toys, especially the range by Womanizer. They are fantastic, though when used during PIV the body can sometimes get in the way. We were therefore excited to try the Melt 2 with similar technology to the womaniser but a far smaller form. The Melt 2 is a quality product. Great material materials and solid construction mean it both should last for years and also feels luxurious. Charging is simple with a usb and the battery seems to last for hours (or at least we have yet to have the need to charge it again. In use it’s on a par with the power of the womanizer premium. It doesn’t have the same number of features, but Mrs B only really uses one – turn on, full power, enjoy. The only slight downside is the non-removable nozzle for cleaning. It’s not a huge deal given the advantages of its shape and size but we do find the womanizer easier to clean. Finally in terms of how much noise it makes, it has a smart silence function so it only turn on when it’s in contact with something which is great, however it is still a bit noisy when there isn’t a great seal. One to consider if you aren’t in a house on your own.

A lovely little clit sucker. . . with all the features
We’re lovers of all things clit sucker, and so were really excited to be picked to test this toy for LH. We’re used to plenty of other brands of “sucker” but this is the first We-Vibe one we’ve tried. First things first, the design of this is lovely. Colour is beautiful, and its comfy to hold. The length of the toy is also perfect – some other similar toys are very small and so having the extra length means it easy to get it into the right position.The next thing I really like about the Melt 2 is the manual controls. Yes I know its app-controlled (which i’ll come into later) but the manual controls are absolutely perfect. All too often the controls are annoying and you have to cycle through power/patterns in a single direction. . meaning it’s all too easy to loose your groove if you cycle onto an unwanted power or pattern – however the Melt 2 has it perfectly. There are 4 buttons in a cluster, with up-down for power and left-right for change of patterns. Now onto a negative – I would say that the opening where all the magic happens isn’t quite a comfortable and perfectly fitting as some of the other brands. That could just be a “me” problem – it didn’t stop the product from working tho – I easily managed to reach blissful orgasm very easily with this toy. . . it just wasn’t quite the perfect fit for my anatomy that some of the others were.But all in all – that was the only negative. Design-wise, easy of charging and ease of cleaning. . . are all good – and as expected.Now – only to the app-controlled area. I’m going to say it – the We-Vibe app is by far the best, most responsive and easy to connect/use app out there for remote control toys, and the number of ways to play is amazing. . . . . however in this case (as I found similar with an app controlled wand) I find it excess to my needs. It's got a punch baby!
This isn’t my first clitoral suction toy and to be honest, I have tried a fair few! I don’t have many we-vibe products, so it was a delight to give this one a chance. Although, I have tried the original melt. I had the options of 2 colours so chose purple. It is luscious, it screams high quality and elegance. I think what I’m most in love with is the shape of the clitoral suction area. As it’s more oval (rather than round as with other products), it manages to encapture more of me and it generally just feels better! I do find the melts are easy to hold and with my thighs, I can hold this in place and go completely hands free. I don’t find there’s any difficulty using the controls on the toy, however now I’ve used the app, I might actually prefer controlling it from there. Before I big up the app, it is unbelievably temperamental. I tried another we-vibe toy, prior to this and I had nothing but issues with the app. Issues with it opening, issues with bluetooth, not connecting the toy. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much improvement with this one. Connecting is by far my biggest gripe. If I want to play, I don’t wanna be spending 10-15 minutes trying to connect my damn toy. Saying that, once I’ve calmed down my sexually frustrated rage, the app is easy. You can set it for single vibrations or patterns and it’s a ‘swipe up/swipe down’ to change the intensity. Now someone’s getting a big high five cause they’ve introduced smart silence woo hoo! For me, it’s probably one of those things you think you that’s not that important, but once you’ve had toys with it, it is awesome. With lube (as with other clitoral suction toys), it does become less reliable to only turn on when it hits your skin. I found this sporadically turns on. This isn’t a we-vibe problem, it’s all suction toys when too much lube is used. Noise wise, before it finds your clit and hangs on for dear life, it’s not by any means a quiet toy. At low speeds it’s not so much of an inconvenience, but if this thing looses suction on high speed, it is louuuuud. For me who’s a singleton, there’s not a problem unless I leave my window open, but for those with room mates/parents, get a duvet ready to muffle the sounds! Clitoral suction toys are definitely not my first go to, however when I use them, I can’t really complain. I do sometimes find them incredibly intense and I like a more slower build up, but when I’m feeling it, I’ll happily grab one. I am impressed with the melt 2? Yeah. Melt into a Euphoric, Orgasmic Bliss
This has got to be the product I was most excited about trying in a very long time. Why is that you ask? Because, I love the original Melt! I mean really love it. It fits me better than any of the Womanizers, both in my hand and on my clit. I love the Womanizer Next too, but always found myself ultimately reaching back for my beloved Melt to the extent, even owning the Next, when, after many years, my Melt broke I had to replace it, like for like.And now the Melt 2 has come out, so how does it compare and should you invest? Answer, yes, it’s incredible!Basics first, the packaging is excellent, a simple, efficient, sturdy storage box containing the charging cable, quick start guide and storage pouch. Charging is really simple, it has a strong magnetic cable so it doesn’t lose contact like a lot of magnetic chargers do, an easy to see throbbing light shows while charging which changes to constantly lit once fully charged. The toy feels lovely in my hand and the controls on the toy, if you choose to use them rather than the app, are excellent and easy. The basics being: up, turns on and powers up; down, powers down and turns off; left and right, change pattern. There is a travel lock and the Womanizer smart silence feature has also been added so it’s quieter to use than it’s predecessor if that is important to you.This brings me to the key change between the Melt and Melt 2. . . The patterns!!! Who knew the thing missing and most needed by suction toys was patterns? Not me, but it turns out that they really are! They bring a totally different feel to suctions toys. With the original Melt, I rarely bothered with the app, but to get to know the patterns and what works best for you I recommend using the app, it makes it much easier to know which you’re using and which work best for you when you’re new to the toy. It is worth noting though, if you’re a power queen using the app and like the stronger suction, you need to up the strength on the constant setting before moving to the patterns. If you go straight to the patterns the top strength is severely limited and this is not at all obvious within the app. You’ll just think the top power setting on the patters is a bit pathetic. It is not.The default pattern modes are vibrate, pulse, wave, massage, tease, cha-cha-cha, step, ramp, tempo and heartbeat. Step and tease are sensational for me, I have never cum as fast as I did when I tried step for the first time, set to high power. Somehow it is way more effective that constant power on my clit. Heartbeat is less pleasant for me, it is too sharp a change, but we are all different. I guarantee you will find something here that truly does it for you. Within the app there are also settings for touch control and music syncing but they didn’t work well with the Melt 2 for me and the strength seemed very limited using these settings. I don’t care though, it is all about the patterns set high for me.Strength wise, with testing directly together, I would say the top strength of the Melt 2 is just as strong as the Next set to the deepest setting and most powerful strength; they just differ slightly on frequency. Setting the Melt 2 to the step pattern feels just like using the Next and switching through the three depth settings at a constant strength. The patterns is like having the Next and using it on autopilot but with closer control. I love it.The other big advantage of the Melts over the Womanizers is that in combination with both PIV and dildos/vibrators, the shape of the Melts work better. In testing, I can confirm this, the Melt 2 doesn’t get in the way at all, and for the ultimate blended orgasm I can’t recommend highly enough combining the Melt 2 with Mantric Realistic vibrator. Disappointing 'upgrade'
The orginal Melt is my favourite toy, thought this was an upgrade, but the power is noticeably less. It looks lovely, and I like the skin silence feature – having patterns is not that big a deal and definitely doesn’t compensate for the relative weakness of the motor. I returned this and bought a second original Melt in case my first one gives up the ghost!

Too difficult
I haven’t bought toys in eons. Wanted to treat myself. Reads tons of reviews from different sights. Also bought the womanizer premium 2, not realizing they are the same thing. I have never had a clit sucker before. The reviews likened it to oral stimulation. Well to me it feels like a combination of a vacuum cleaner and a jackhammer punching your court. And it sounds like a semi truck on the highway with a flat tire. I must be missing something? I also hate that you can’t move. You have to stay still to keep the seal. I spent all night reading the instructions and setting up the app, to play with my partner in another country. After almost 2 hours of trying to figure out the toy and so, we decided that it was so technical that it was a complete buzzkill and took the fun out of it. He decided to go to sleep instead. That’s how awful it was. I tried to call and email, no response. It seems I can only return one ring. What a huge waste of money. $340 down the drain. We were so looking forward to this toy, and it was the absolute worst thing ever. I mean my boyfriend chose sleep over trying to figure out this dumb toy! ZERO FUN! I have never been so disappointed.

Nice Addition to My Collection

So disappointing

The We-Vibe Melt 2 has a shape well-suited for use during sex with its head/nozzle on the very end of its handle shaped body. It does have to be placed a bit more precisely than regular vibrators during sex, but it wasn’t hard for my wife to keep it in place except for during very vigorous thrusting. It has a wide range of intensities from fairly gentle to very powerful plus several preset patterns (and customizable through the app). Its air pulse sensation is a deeper thumpy kind of pulse, if unfamiliar with air pulse toys best analogy for it would be rumbly vibrators. It can also be used just as well for solo play. During sex we tend to use the on-toy controls, but during solo use she also enjoys playing around with the customizability through app control. The Melt 2 is one of the only air pulse toys that has app control so that is a big plus!My wife and I first tried out the We-Vibe Melt 2 with me using it on her for foreplay. I started exploring the different intensities and patterns of it on her, seeing how she reacted to gauge which she was enjoying the most. And always a great tease changing up the modes on her with a new toy! She let me know the constant pulsing mode was her preference for now, so I kept it on that at a low-mid intensity. Then since the Melt 2 is shaped for easier use as a couple during sex we put that to the test. Handing the toy over for her to hold on to, she was able to hold it in place well except when I was thrusting too vigorously. I could tell she was thoroughly enjoying the dual stimulation with the toy on her clit and penetration! Once she was ready to finish all she had to do was crank up the intensity a bit and that got her there easily.When wet enough the Melt 2 makes a good seal for the air pulses to transfer, but a thin coating of lube around the rim of the head/nozzle helps it seal when that’s not enough. When using it solo depending on her mood, she likes the periodic patterns for edging as they don’t easily push her over the edge then switching to constant pulsing when she wants to finish, or for quick ‘rubbing one out’ keeping it at constant pulsing of mid-high intensity. The highest intensities she reserves for when she wants some overstimulation.During sex, she prefers the constant pulsing pattern as the periodic patterns she find a bit distracting. Low-mid intensity for the most part, then when she’s ready to finish (or if I’ve already finished and while I stay inside her) she increases it to mid-high intensity, and it brings her to orgasm(s) quickly and efficiently if that can be said!The premium aspects of the We-Vibe Melt 2 also show up in a lot of smaller ways. It has buttons for separate controls and they have tactile differences making it much easier to know what button you’re pressing when the toy is in use. Holding down the + or – button also continually increases or decreases the intensity in that direction (rather than having to press it several times to get to max intensity or decrease to low). Holding the + button powers on the toy, and holding down the – button turns it off (after reaching lowest intensity). When powering off and back on, it will start from the default ‘constant’ pulse mode which my wife prefers. As when she gets close to finishing she wants the constant mode and it can be easier than cycling through all the modes when not using it with the app.So far the battery has been impressive and the charge it retains over time. After a full charge and a session or two, then not being in use for a couple weeks (life got in the way…) it was still at ~90% charge! The magnetic charging connection has a good strength. Pairing the Melt 2 with the We-Vibe app was easy. The pattern and intensity can be controlled in a variety of ways in the app and there are more settings like seeing the current battery level of the toy, choosing to limit intensity range, and so on. The local connection from toy to phone Bluetooth has worked very well for us so far, and long distance control is also an option through the We-Vibe app (phone to phone to toy connection).The Melt 2 comes in a nicely laid out We-Vibe box. We got it in the sage green color and it is pretty! After taking out the Melt 2, below the insert is a We-Vibe branded fabric storage bag, user manual, and charging cord. It also has a slender handle-like shape with the body encased in silicone. Raised intensity and pattern selection buttons, recessed We-Vibe/smart silence button, the unique We-Vibe magnetic charging port shape and the logo embossed in the upper middle of the body. Overall a very premium looking and feeling product, except there were some cosmetic imperfections. In a few spots on the silicone body there are some irregular indents. Not a big deal and doesn’t affect the function at all but just subtracts a little from the premium feel/look.

I love the original Melt so much I have gone through several, but always make sure I have one to hand and one on charge so they can tag team if necessary. After an unfortunate incident where my puppy got hold of both my charging Melts and chewed them to pieces, the lovely people in the Lovehoney customer service team very kindly replaced one with the new Melt 2.The new colour (matcha green) is classy and the power levels are the same intensity as I’ve previously enjoyed. The vibe is pretty quiet, which is much appreciated. The buttons are now raised and on the top side, rather than little dips on the bottom side. They are perhaps easier to find by touch alone, but are a bit less aesthetically pleasing. I think it has the feature where it automatically cuts off if it is not pressed firmly in place, but that can be frustrating if you’re changing position and it loses the vacuum and cuts off in the middle of things. It was more of an issue at the start, so maybe I’m just getting more used to applying it more firmly. Although the Melt is expensive, it is definitely my go-to toy and my other vibes have been gathering dust since I got my first one. I tried the remote control thing with hubby once and just found it annoying, so now I control the Melt while everything else is under his control.

Disappointed
Have the original melt & was so excited to try the newer version as I love my old one & expected it to be better. Nope – half the power with fiddly buttons. It is quieter & I like the auto stop but the loss of power supersedes everything.
