Great for beginners
I’ve been wanting a spreader bar for a long time but kept putting it off, I’m glad I’ve finally got one! The cuffs fit nicely around my thighs (I’m a size 16) although they do have to go slightly lower down than I would like them so the cuffs could do with being larger. These are great to use lying down but will slip when standing up. Using these allows me to have far more intense orgasms as I instinctively try to force my legs closed when I’m orgasming, this leg spreader stops me being able to do that and my orgasm gets more and more intense. I’ve used these on my own whilst masturbating with a wand vibrator and dildo as well as using them with a partner and I’ve enjoyed it both ways. As somebody who loves bondage I usually use these with a partner in conjunction with having my ankles and wrists strapped to the bed. My husband wanted to try this because I usually close my legs during oral sex. He thought the ankle spreader wudnt work for me as I wud still be able to close my legs at the top. It’s a lovely colour which makes a change from the usual black. It’s padded for comfort. Velcro straps stay secure. Metal bar prevents legs closing so my husband was pleased. Tends to slide down when you stand up.

The quality is there but they don’t stay in place, they constantly slip and move even when you tighten them. We tried several times with it but gave up in the end. The other reviews seem to be ok so it may be ok for some. I personally wouldn’t recommend

Unable to close
This product is very good when it works properly. When it is in the right place, the wearer is unable to close their legs which is great as you can do as you please with their intimate areas. The problem is it can sometimes slip, which then makes it abit uncomfortable for the wearer and it also doesn’t have the desired affect

Almost perfect
As I’ve been getting more into bondage, this thigh spreader was high on my Lovehoney wishlist. It was delivered discretely in a plain cardboard box and the bar was packaged in a clear plastic bag. I love this purple color. All the seams are strong and sturdy and the bar is made of metal, making it impossible for the wearer to bend it. The thigh cuffs are padded, so there’s no chaffing and they feel nice around your thighs. The size is adjustable since they have velcro fastening. I’m a UK dress size 16 and they fit me well. I think it would be a great idea though to either make the cuffs longer or offer this product in plus size, so that it fits even more people. As we promptly found out, 12 inches can be quite uncomfortable for some. I suspect that it depends on the person’s height, flexibility and balance. I’m 5’5” with short legs but quite flexible. I had no problem standing or walking with the spreader on, if we ignore the fact that I looked very silly. My partner is a few inches taller than me, but could barely stand and couldn’t walk when I put the spreader on him. We both enjoyed that it was so hard for him to do those basic things. This thigh spreader bar forces the wearer to maintain a quite vulnerable and at the very least somewhat uncomfortable position. It gives me full access to his butt and genitals, and that’s great for spanking, cbt, teasing, or even sex. However, we are not perfectly happy with this product because of two reasons. Firstly, no matter how hard I pulled to fasten the velcro, the cuffs inevitably slid down. Furthermore, the cuffs and bar can rotate, making for a really uncomfortable and inefficient position. It takes away from the fun when we have to stop and re-adjust the fit often. Although I haven’t needed to wash it yet, when it’s time I’ll need to hand wash it and scrub it with a brush, then place it somewhere hot to air-dry all the way in. Bottom line, it’s a great product for its price. Although you might need to fiddle with it more often than desired, it’s an efficient and fun restraint.

Fun and functional, great for the price
A great bit of fun and very practical. The metal bar is covered in red webbing with nice stitching and I don’t see any chance of it coming out. It is a strong and heavy bar that is never going to bend. It serves a double function by not allowing the legs to close or indeed to open or move at all. The cuffs are lined with a soft velvet and a foam cushioning and the straps are fairly long. If you have larger thighs it is unlikely to fit around the upper thigh but above the knees works well. Because of basic body shape to use it on upper thighs unless you do it up very tight it is almost certainly going to slip but as a above knee restraint it is great. The only criticism is the red webbing material is fairly industrial and not particularly soft to the tough but hey most like it that way! And the foam cushion that lines the cuffs sticks out by a few millimetres meaning i can see it being hard to clean and easy to fray / wear in the future. It would be a massive improvement just to cover the edges of the cuffs but for the price you cant really complain, its a great bit of fun but if your expecting heavy usage often then it is going to suffer some wear and tear.

Effective and comfortable at a great price
I do a lot of self-bondage and if I’ve set myself up with a fastened in place vibrator I have a really bad habit of closing my legs when I start to get close, no matter how much I try and stop myself. I bought these with the hope that they would prevent me from being able to do that, and I am happy to report that they were super effective! They were very comfortable to wear even for prolonged use and extremely secure, and helped make my sessions far more intense and controlled. Worth every penny!The only downside worthy of mention is that they are not ideal for people with big thighs. I have fairly chonky thighs (about 23inches around the point where the model in the display photo is wearing the straps) and the fit here was tight to the point that the velcro didn’t have enough surface cover to hold in place. I had to wear them further down closer to my knee to get a good secure fit. This didn’t affect their function, they still did the job just grand for me, but it would be an issue for people with thighs much bigger than mine.

Too small
I was excited to receive this but when it did arrive I found that it would not actually fit around my thighs. I am only a size 16 so did expect it to fit, but it did not which was very disappointing.
