This product does exactly what it says on the box – it’s good quality pasta, 100% durum wheat, shaped like a penis. If you’re a first rate Italian cook, I guess it might not be the right shape for your sauce, but for mere mortals looking for a giggle at the supper table, it’s just right. Just don’t do what I did, and inadvertantly use it when my mother was round – unless she’s as gullible as mine, who now thinks that Waitrose sells pasta that’s looks curiously like willies, but in fact has an incredibly unprounounceable Italian name, and is actually supposed to resemble the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Penis Pasta great novelty gift
I just got this as a little present to make my friend laugh… which it did! You actually do get a fair amount in the box which I wasn’t expecting and the pasta is yummy. It’s funny, the design of the box actually looks quite professional despite having penis pasta written across the front!

The cooking process was easy. Add to boiling water. I was concerned that the pasta would disintegrate and not keep its form when cooked. However the pasta kept its shape well whilst not being too thick. The flavour was really nice which was not what I expected. It had a lovely butteriness to it which could be too rich but worked out okay in the tomato sauce. I used the recipe (meatballs) on the back which was easy too cook and tasted okay. I would definitely say it is more novelty humour than romantic meal but it depends on the situation… Overall I would definitely recommend buying them as it made a girls night in amusing from the get go.

Priceless
I got this as a birthday present for my mum. The reaction i got when she opened it was priceless! When we finally got round to eating it (all with much gusto save my sister who was bright red for the duration of the meal) it tasted not exceptionally great but not bad at all and proved a great conversation starter. I’d recommend as a gag or hen gift, worth it just for the reaction!

Funny novelty gift
Boyfriend bought this as a joke birthday gift. Provided a good laugh, especially when we used it to make a spaghetti bolognese and the boyfriend’s mum comes in, looks over the plate and says ‘Are those what I think they are!?’ Hilarious! Also, very tasty! Pasta did get a bit fragile, so a few did lose their shape, but overall great novelty gift.

this came in my birthday box of food goodies from a forum member , i LOVE pasta at the best of times , im a true pasta addict and this was no exception to my rule that ALL pasta is good pasta ! it cooked up nicely , and most pieces kept their shape which was surprising actually . there was a decent amount in the box , and the box is quite deceptively demure .. youd perhaps have to look twice to realise it was actually .. cock carbs !

Novelty Present With Welcome Surprise
(The surprise is that it tastes good, don’t get too excited!) Bought this as a novelty house warming gift for a friend, they had no idea what to expect but apparently it came just in time as they had run out of food – student life! Packaging is actually quite proper/fancy looking so you don;t necessarily realise what it is at first, the pasta holds its shape well and tastes good – an added bonus for a simple, cheap novelty gift.

Great gift
Bought this for a mate’s 21st recently and it was a laugh! We prepared it in a salty white sauce for extra amusement. Shapes are great, you can tell its penises even through sauce and well.. for penis pasta, it tastes pretty good! Quite nice pasta actually, as far as pasta goes. And theres a fair bit in there too, enough for about 4-5 people as a side to something else easily.

Fun novelty gift, but that's all
I received this as a gift a few months ago now and it did make me laugh! But, for me, that’s where it ends. As for the taste, it’s just bog standard dried pasta – which to be honest, is probably what you should expect from this kind of product. Maybe it’d be a little funnier if the company had added a ‘creamy’ sauce to accompany it with? Haha! I think that kind of addition would make it worth £3.99. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this product unless the person you’re going to buy this for is a big pasta lover and even then – it probably wouldn’t be wise to give this to an Italian or any serious foodie as it’s probably going to be left collecting dust at the back of the store cupboard. Save your money and go for the novelty sweets/chocolate instead.

Hilarious fun
These were brought for valentines last year. The box of pasta actually goes quite far, in fact I ended up giving it to my kids telling them it was rocket pasta …. sorry but they believed me x Pasta was well presented in a box as in photo and the quality of the pasta was what you would expect from a supermarket brand. The pasta is shaped like a penis although my oh didn’t see that until I showed him the box…. perhaps if the pasta shapes were larger it would be more obvious 😉 They are smaller than penne pasta in size. It is a fun item for a laugh and reasonable tasting pasta.

I came across this product when I was looking for a surprise to cheer my boyfriend up. My partner and I had this as a silly valentine’s present. We obviously chose to have it with a creamy cheese sauce, and as well as giving us some laughs, it was actually pretty good! We also found it hilarious that the packaging looks so fancy, and it even comes with a recipe suggestion on the back.

Butta la pasta
I bought this as a house-warming gift to self, along with some other stuff that had caught my eye. The order arrived with Lovehoney’s and Royal Mail’s usual swiftness and efficiency. In the form in which I received it, the main part of the packaging is a blue box of thin card, the front of which carries a cartoon drawing of a semi-anthropomorphised penis wearing a chef’s hat, along with a cutout through which can be seen the pasta itself, in all its phallically edible glory. It’s in a plastic bag inside the box, so no need to worry about spills! The back of the box bears a recipe, repeated in multiple languages, for ‘penis pasta with big balls’ (meatballs, that is!). The box contains roughly 200g pasta, which is enough to make two main-course portions or three starter-sized portions (fun fact, pasta usually serves as the starter rather than the main in Italy). *puts chef’s hat on* Right, now for the technical stuff! Aesthetics aside, this is yer basic durum wheat pasta. The shape contains a lot of holes and gaps, which in durum wheat pasta typically indicates a pasta shape that is good to use with more liquid sauces, especially tomato-based ones. This pasta can certainly be used for that purpose, but given the specific shape of the product, the aesthetic effect could potentially be somewhat alarming. I would therefore recommend using this pasta with a cheese sauce, or with a lemon-based sauce from somewhere like the Amalfi coast – these are likely to fit with the theme of the shape, certainly in visual terms! When I gave this pasta the cook-test, I used a tuna-and-tomato sauce for two reasons: 1) I wanted to test my own hypothesis about the aesthetics. 2) It was what I had in stock. I can definitely say that this penis pasta works very well simply as pasta! It certainly tasted good, and one box made two generous meals. The ‘increases in size when cooked’ advisory is definitely accurate! In sum, I can say that this is an excellent pasta for general use (if your sense of humour so indicates) or for a cheeky gift for someone who’ll appreciate it. Butta la pasta! (tr. = ‘throw in the pasta’)

For Such Small Dicks, They're Such Good Fun!
These little wheat willies are the perfect gift for a hen night or a friend’s birthday! Whilst they are very small at first, pop them in some boiling water and you’ll soon discover he’s a grower and not a shower! Tastes like any other pasta except with that added kink. Unfortunately 200g isn’t quite enough for almost £4 worth of pasta! Also must remember to keep on a high shelf away from any kids or grannies, but other than that, it makes a great novelty gift and I would highly recommend it!

Fabulous gift
Bought as a gift for my friend for the laughs, he ended up enjoying them more than I thought. They were tasty and did not take a long time to cook. However, once cooked they turned flabby and soggy and you had to use all your imagination to tell they are supposed to be penises.

We bought this as a present for one of our neighbours and they absolutely loved it! We got this product together with a few other items that we had ordered for ourselves, and it arrived in a only a few days in the discrete Lovehoney package. We wrapped it up and gave it to our neighbour with a note saying “We hope you get to eat some D tonight”. When they opened it we all laughed so much! The pasta itself is just normal pasta, the penis shape is the only feature that differentiates it from normal penne. Our neighbour decided to cook it for us, so we all ate some D that night 😉 We decided to try the recipe written on the back of the package, penis pasta with meat balls (pun intended) and we really enjoyed it! The only negative aspect of this product is the price…£3.99 for 200g of pasta is a lot just for a shape! Definitely good for a laugh though!

Funny gift
A long time ago I bought this as a gift for a friend. I ended up giving it away to another friend. She found it hilarious! However, after you boil the pasta the shape isn’t as defined. I think this is a great gift for brides, or grooms, to be. And if I’m not mistaken, you can find it on some sort of offer usually, which is pretty good.

I ordered this as a joke gift for a friend, but never got round to giving it to them.Then one day, we were short of pasta, so i used this to make a pasta bake for the wife. She was unaware of the penis shaped goodness lurking below the cheesy top layer. To her surprise, when digging in she got a shock, and then laughter ensued. As for the product itself, its just like any other pasta, Taste, and quality is similar to any good supermarket pasta. No funny tastes. Cook times are comparable also, so good for baked dishes. Very nice and enjoyable!
