Disappointed!
The product page and even the packaging advertised the set really well. The teddy, or romper as the box states, is beautiful with flowing mesh, panels of lace, and a lovely almost-open back. It’s a gorgeous vibrant red too and it would compliment any skin tone. I really enjoy the design; there’s a little keyhole feature across the waist, and it’s designed to flow off the hips. Included is a simple lace g-string; it provides a little extra coverage which is handy considering the teddy is quite floaty. You can absolutely wear it without the g-string though, and the g-string can be used as day-to-day wear which is exactly what I’m doing!The downside to the piece though, and the most gutting, is the sizing. It just doesn’t work. I received the L/XL (10-14) to begin with, and being a size 12 and mostly fitting into Medium pieces, this felt like the correct option. I stepped into it, went to pull it up but it wouldn’t even reach my thighs. The set is elasticated but it just wouldn’t budge. I returned it and went for the 1X/2X (18-20) instead and this then swamped me. Granted, it was a better fit than the L/XL, but it did my body no favours. The g-string is adjustable and as I mentioned earlier, can be worn without the teddy. This really is a beautiful piece of lingerie, but somewhere along the line, the sizing has become totally off.
