Must-have for rubber toys
Item arrived quickly and discreetly as usual with LoveHoney. It comes in a pepper mill type container but with wider holes which means it will be useful to me even after I run out of powder. It looks benign enough to anyone who doesn’t know anything about LoveHoney. The powder is finely ground so it rubs easily on to the toy. With other powders it can stick together and be more of an effort to rub on to the toy while most of it ends up on the floor. This powder was better for that. I have Fleshlight, Utensil Race, Tenga and LoveHoney’s own toys made from real feel materials and this powder worked on all my toys. The hardest part was using it on the narrow but deep holes in the toys. The pepper mill type design is designed to cover wider areas, so I had to unscrew and use my finger for that. I even took one for the team with my next test. I have in the past made the mistake of using toys while forgetting to wash off the preserving powder from last time. This time I did this deliberately and while the powder didn’t stick together and cause irritation, the lube does dry with the powder. It all washed off fine and caused no lasting problems.

Wow, finally great value for money in renewer powders
I got my first cyberskin toy in 2007 and it’s been such a pain to keep it in good shape and to preserve that special touch and softness of the toy. And I’ve paid a price every time I didn’t powder it and just put in the drawer after cleaning. Back then there weren’t many powders, they were expensive, they came in such small containers… I have to admit that sometimes I even used baby powder instead of sex toy one, just because I had no other option. And once again – Lovehoney rocks with their great value for money toy renewer powder! It’s big and will last for ages and is the cheapest one on the market. At the same time has all the merits other products have, and even some added value by the discrete pack. It doesn’t say “sex toy” in big letters, just LH’s heart, logo and the words “renewer powder”. So even if someone runs into it – they won’t be able to tell what it is. This product could (and should!) be used with both male and female toys, it’s a must have for cyberskin, but is really good for all types of rubber, silicone, etc. Female toys could lose their lovely shape and texture and small wholes in the material could appear after years of use and bad maintenance. And if you invest in an expensive toy, well,you would like to be able to use it for many many years. Especially if the toy gets discontinued and you’re really fond of it. Resuscitate your real-skin toys
Having a number of different ‘realskin’ toys of different types i had often wondered how to get rid of the tacky and sticky state you seemed to find them in after you had washed and dried them.I knew there was a product you could use to re-new the material but i had never thought it would be as good at doing so.This renewing powder certainly works an absolute treat.I do look after my ‘realskin’ toys keeping them in zip lock plastic bags between uses but they do still attract fluff and dust.The powder really does change things up its like a completely different material once coated.I found it easier to put about a teaspoon full in each of my storage bags then when the toy was dry enough after cleaning just pop it into the bag and give it a shake.Once the toy had a decent coating take it back out and gently rub it into any places it had missed.This way you dont spill any and you can re-use the excess powder in the bag.I am delighted all my toys are now looking and feeling in pristine condition again.I would happily recommend this renew powder to anyone who owns any Vixskin,Cyberskin,UR3,TPE,or indeed any silicon toys that are a bit sticky when stored.The tub will also last a long time as you really don’t need to use a lot for it to work.Pretty much magic talc for your toys.One slight niggle was the lid wouldn’t clip shut properly so having to store upright,but this might just be my tub.The packaging is subtle enough for me to store in the bathroom cabinet.

A new lease of life
We were picked to test Lovehoney’s own range of renewer powder, which was fantastic for us as my partner has a few realistic toys that he wants to keep in tip top shape. He has used a few different powders and wanted to see what Lovehoney’s was like, so this was his perfect opportunity. This powder comes in a nice plain talcum powder style container with a blue sticker with information on how to use the product and how to store it safely. You get 118g of renewer powder which will see you through for a while, well depending on how often you use your toys ;). On the shaker part of the tub there is a film lid which you will need to pierce before using, just like a ketchup bottle. Then when that film lid has gone you have still got a cardboard stopper to make sure everything stays inside the bottle. On the bottom of the powder you have got a best date which is handy to have. After using his realistic vagina a few times he noticed that it didn’t feel “like new” and knew he needed to use some powder to keep it up to standard. All he did was wash his toys thoroughly with toy cleaner then left to air dry completely throughout the toy. Gave the renewer powder a little shake on to the toy and smoothed the powder over to get a nice even thin layer all over the toy. Instantly he said that the toy felt much more like new again. As for the price of this product you really cannot go wrong with it being under a fiver! Awesome Stuff
I’ve come to expect good things from Lovehoney’s own brand products. They’re usually good if not better value than competitors and this renewer powder is no exception. I’m new to the whole Fleshlight thing but instead of buying the own-brand care set by Fleshlight I picked up Lovehoney’s stuff. I’d heard about the stickiness and after use noticed it particularly on the outside. Sprinkle this on and presto! Back to the smooth feeling that came right out the box. I second opinions about the size of the holes but you just have to be gentle with it, for the price it is well worth it. Fresh and clean

It's just cornstarch
This arrived in the usual well packaged way that all Lovehoney products do and the container does look nice too. I usually find that all the toys I have that have a lifelike skin feel benefit from using cornstarch/ cornflour on them to preserve their soft silky texture. The container is good at distributing the powder over the toy and all that is necessary is a gentle rub over the toy to stop the surface from being sticky to the touch.It is important to make sure that after using the toy you have cleaned it thoroughly and let it dry totally before re-applying any renewer so that when you next use the toy it retains that fantastic soft feeling. Although the powder does it’s job well and the container is very good, at the end of the day it is just cornstarch (it even says 100% cornstarch on the container), I was expecting something more. This quantity of cornstarch (or cornflour if you prefer – they are the same thing) will cost about 35p in your local supermarket so £5 is overpriced by about 14 times – not exactly good value. Just buy cornflour and it will be just the same.

Does the job
I bought this to use on my Wildfire realistic dildo and it does the job. Realistic dildos have a tendency to get oily due to the material it’s made out of. Slap this on it after use, making sure the toy is dry, wash off the next time you use it and your toy should feel nice and soft. Disappointed with the lack of instructions on the product though. All it says it to apply after using your toy until the next time it’s used. No mention of whether you should wash it off after a few hours or wait until a few minutes before you use it next. Not very specific on the amount you need to use or any substantial information. For the record, I tried it a few times just putting the powder on for a few hours, or overnight and washing it off later and the toy quickly returned to it’s slightly sticky state. So for best results, I would recommend having your toy covered in this until you want to use it next then giving the top a good clean before use, especially if you plan on using the toy orally. Overall, it’s cheap and does the job. Not going to set the world alight, but then no one really expected it to. Recommended if your toy starts feeling sticky.

I got this after watching the Lovehoney videos about keeping toys in good condition. Makes My Stroker Feel Brand New
I was getting cleaner for my stroker so I went ahead and got the renewal power even though I’ve read it’s literally just cornstarch and you can use almost any cooking version. Great to preserve softness
Bought for my first fleshlight to preserve softness and boy does it. It makes it feel like it was basically just bought (minus the smellthat they often come with). An issue I had is with how to put it on your toys – do you put in your hands and rub it in? Shake it on? Etc. I found for the fleshlight putting it into the lid and then shaking it a little works great. Either way I’d suggest doing it over a sink (just not over carpet). I bought it from a local store, but it was the same volume and price. The powder sprinkles out nicely. But I don’t think it’s good value for money.I sprinkle in my hand first and spread it around, then apply. It does work. But I do find the stroker needs to be rinsed before next use.
