12 Day Advent Calendar
It arrived in usual LH way, very promptly and in a plain cardboard box. Upon opening the box inside there was the advent calendar nice and bright and attractive decoration. Opening the front cover was 12 pink boxes inside with the days 1-12 written on them all various sizes. Written on each box is the contents and any other info you need. So down to the nitty gritty . . . .Box 1 opening up the treats are all wrapped in plain tissue. So the 1st treat is a lovely 7. 5cm hard case bullet vibrator. It has 10 settings of various speeds Rumble, Pulse and Constant. Very easy to use and works a treat on both of us. Great day 1.Box 2 are wipes and water based lube, the wipes work great for cleaning the toys in the advent calendar but for me they tear easily but that’s no down side. The lube has no smell, a little goes a long way and no stickiness after using. Great lube.Box 3 is a lay on vibrator that connects with the bullet and as it says use the lube it slide it into it otherwise its a struggle to get it out . . . . I tried it . . . . its great to rest between the lips, tease the cock or even between the bum cheeks, think it would be better to slide into knickers to keep it in place although harder to change the settings via the button on the vib but loved it.Box 4 quick one as its a good quality blindfold nice and luxury satin feel and comfy to wearBox 5 is vanilla massage oil, not over powering or over oily, we didn’t use this much as the OH doesn’t like vanilla.Box 6 mini wand shape to take the bullet to make a mini wand. Kids get chocolates, we get toys! The 12 day calendar is a nice way to build up excitement while counting down the days (or weeks) to a special day. The big box is presented with a playfully colourful pink vibe while inside is neatly packed with the different sized cubes. There’s a lot of fun to be had with each day, so a lot to review, so I’ll try and break it up and cover the main points. VIBEThe first toy is the main toy. It’s a large bullet vibe which is inserted into other days surprises to extend its versatility. Initially it looks really nice in a luxurious good, but has a plastic feel. Given it’s the first and main item I was expecting a cold metal. It doesn’t match the luxury format of the box and tissue paper it’s wrapped in. However the vibrations are stronger than most toys of a similar style! It has the standard 3 levels of vibration, plus various pulse modes and has a usb charging cable.There’s a few sleeves to use with this: The wide cover isn’t something we’ve used previously, it spreads the vibrations over a wide area, great for labia stimulation, although we found we twisted it on its side for more direct stimulation. The mini wand worked rather well on a penis, to mix things up! The cockring with the bullet would stick out quite a bit. We didn’t find it uncomfortable, but another, more compact device is still our favourite. The biggest issue with these sleeves is that it’s nearly impossible to remove the bullet after, especially when covered in slippery lube… you’ll twist, bend, pull, anything to try and remove them. MASSAGEYou’ll find a small bottle of vanilla massage oil. The scent quickly builds up, so your partner smells like ice cream! It works well, not the greatest, but good for a back and leg massage. To go with this is a glittery massage handle. The four pressure points work well to direct the sensations. It’s easier on the givers thumbs compared to plain hands. It works even better with the oil. I feel if we sew a loop, we can then use that to loop around things as an anchor. EXTRASA nice squeezey bottle of lube by womanizer. It’s now in our travel bag along with the small bag of toy cleaning wipes. WEVIBE JIVE 2So the bulk of the cost in this package is found here. A premium toy, for a mostly premium box. One thing we found lacking was the remote. The manual indicates that a remote is included, however this is not the case (as confirmed by support). You can however pair it with an app on your phone or just push the button on the front. The egg portion is inserted and seems to hold in most of the time, although to really make sure it works try during it while wearing some sexy underwear! It gives a nice rumble but can also steer to the buzz side of vibrations. It’s the sort of toy you’ll secretly wear while out on a date. We always feel uneasy about these, given others are present and not consenting. If that’s your thing, with the phone app, there’s not much better out there! There was just enough room for us to try piv, however we found it uncomfortable on the penis. Anal however, well that’s another story! The vibrations travel across and really add to the experience!SUMMARY Overall we’ve enjoyed the act of opening the calendar and having some fun, maybe more than the individual toys. I think over time they’ll mostly get relegated to the back of the toy box for other kit. The sleeves are too difficult to remove, so even if the bullet remains by the bedside table, the sleeves likely won’t get much more use. The WeVibe is a good, premium toy. I’ll get straight to the point. This is a great advent calendar to add a bit of fun to the bedroom.The contents of the calendar are each packaged in their own little box and they all fit nicely together. Each box is individually numbered and there is a description of the contents on the side of one. My wife and I couldn’t wait the full twelve days to try them all out so we opened them all straight away.The range of products included is well thought out and allows for hours and hours of fun. We jumped straight in and tried the bullet vibrator with the different heads. This is probably one of our favourite items from the calendar. The app controlled We-Vibe Jive 2 is another great inclusion and allows the fun to continue out of the bedroom. The quality of the calendar is much improved on others we have tried and is definitely worth trying.

Great for couples who are just starting
We have had versions of the Lovehoney Advent Calendars a few years before, so I was interested to see how this new version compared. I will not go into detail about each individual product as they are clearly listed in the description and on their own product pages. This review is about the set as a whole and how it works for a couple.Compared to the older version we tried, this one feels better made. Previously each product was hidden behind a perforated compartment that you ripped open like a traditional advent calendar. That had a certain charm, but it was not exactly sturdy. This new version has each item packaged in its own individual box. It gives a more premium feel and makes it easier to store or reuse the packaging, although it does lose a little of that “nostalgia” of the old style reveal.If you do not have a large toy collection, this calendar is a very solid starting point. It comes with a good mix of basics to introduce you to toy play and everything seems well made. You get a range of items to try, and for couples new to this, it can create several fun and surprising evenings together.Compared to the previous calendars we had, I did notice that rather than having more unique toys that work on their own, three of the items here are simply sleeves or attachments for the bullet vibrator. That means a quarter of the set is only usable if you have the bullet, and if you count the bullet itself then a third of the calendar is focused around just that one base toy. It does make it feel like more of the calendar is made up of lower-cost “filler” compared to older versions that offered more variety.That said, the deciding factor for many will be the twelfth “big ticket” item. In this set it is the We-Vibe Jive 2. If you do not already own it, it is an excellent addition and can be worth the price of the whole calendar on its own. Often the calendar is the same price or only slightly more than buying the We-Vibe separately, which effectively makes all the other items free gifts. In our case we already own similar toys, so the value is less for us and we would probably not purchase it again.Overall, I would give this one 4 stars. If you are just starting out with sex toys or do not already have the We-Vibe Jive 2 or a similar product, you could easily call it a 5-star buy. For us, the repetition and the fact we already own a similar “main” item drops the score slightly, but it is still a well-presented, fun, and good-quality set.

This is the first time we have used a kind of “surprise” box, where each number has a hidden toy, and we love the idea! It means you don’t know what element of play you’re going to introduce tonight which makes things really fun and exciting! There’s multiple ways of using this calendar. You could use each item together, or you could make it so you alternate so there’s some element of dominance and boundary pushing.We decided to use this the traditional way. Over 12 nights, using the items together as part of our play.Without giving any spoilers, I would recommend everyone does it this way, as some numbers are obsolete without opening an earlier box as the items are used together.There’s nothing expensive or flashy in here, just good old basics for your play. We already own many of the items included, so would say this is good for beginners or those with a small toy collection.The reason this got this review, was because of the surprise element! We didn’t know one night to the next if we would be introducing blindfolds, massage or anal to our play which made the unknown quite exciting. So much so, we have tried to recreate this with our own toys since!The items you do get are of good quality and allow you to explore things, possibly for the first time, in a safe and fun way which may then awaken something in you to go on and purchase more.There are some sundries included. The lube is practically scent and flavour-free.The Lovehoney Fresh Toy Wipes are straightforward to use. We like to use these after a mild warm soapy wash on our toys, then a quick wipe. It’s my favourite time of the year when the naughty advent calendars start rolling out, and I’ve been lucky enough to get my filthy paws on this one!The calendar/box itself is displayed beautifully and a real treat for the lucky recipient. For reviewing purposes, this wasn’t a one-door-a-day job for me, but I really don’t know how I’d have the willpower to do so as there’s so much temptation guessing what could be inside. The boxes can be a little fiddly to remove as they’re all tetris’d in together, however once one is out, the rest follow. Each box has a little description or suggestion for use which is helpful, or alternatively, there is further information in the quick-start guide. This is particularly useful for the more unusual items such as the cock ring which requires both loops to be properly used. Box number one plays a crucial role in the rest of the calendar. Without it, there are a number of items within the calendar that won’t be as effective or wouldn’t make as much sense if it wasn’t opened in number order. Alternatively, it can be used on its own which is also fun as it’s super powerful!The main component of the calendar is box number 12; the We-Vibe. As an owner of the Jive 2 already, I absolutely understand the hype, especially being able to remotely connect it to your partners’ phone. This was most certainly a box of delights, the only thing I am disappointed in as this is advertised as having the we vibe jive 2 included in the box which should have a remote control included, which it did not. (I see from another review this is the case with another customer).
