Sadly I look like an overstuffed sausage
Before I review the product, let me first explain a bit about my body. I’m 5’5″ and I would say a large size 12 in normal clothing. My measurements roughly (measured it myself!) are 37 – 30 – 37.5 inches which in the lovehoney lingerie would put me at around a 14 as their lingerie seems to be cut smaller. I don’t have a toned body and have the dreaded “love handles”. When i received this dress I was so excited to try it on that I ripped through the packaging. The dress comes in a card box with a cartoon image of the dress on the back. Very girly and sweet. When I took the dress out I laughed. No way on earth was that going to fit me! It’s tiny! To get the dress on I stepped into it as there was no way I could get it over my head! It is crazily tight! When the dress was on it was longer than I expected. It was mid thigh, but because of the way the bottom is, it really clings to your legs making it hard to move (i dare say sex would be quite tricky in it!). I looled in the mirror and thank god I was having a good day! The top lacy part fitted quite well around my boobs. It was clingy but not squashing me in. I would say it was stretchy enough that you could have bigger boobs and fit in comfortably. I’m a C cup but as there is no push up in the dress my boobs looked pretty small especially with the lace detail covering them up. I found the straps to be the perfect length for me. Moving downwards and thats where the problems start! This dress was originally hoped to fit sizes 6-16. In my opinion you need to be no bigger than a toned size 10 to look like the pictures intend. The main body of the dress is fishnet style and that’s a problem for me. Due to my curves I am stretching the fishnet in some places a lot more than others. That means that in some places you see big holes and lots of flesh, but in others it looks like dark patches where the fishnet isn’t stretched to full capacity. From a distance it looks like large laddered patches. This is mainly round my hip and thigh area where I don’t have a streamlined sillhouette and you can really see every lump and bump! On the subject of lumps and bumps, i find that this dress tends to cling everywhere and it draws attention to bits you might not like. As its see through too you can see belly rolls and all those bits we try and hide! The only good thing i found about it was its awesome for taking sexy pics in from behind. I managed to get some saucy bottom photos (as you can see everything beneath the fishnet!) and from that angle it is quite flattering on me. Personally I don’t feel confident enough to wear it for a sexy night in due to me thinking of how sausage like i look in it. I think personally the sizing is not kind to larger ladies. Overall I probably won’t wear the dress again, unless i lose weight or tone up a lot, which is sad really because it is a pretty dress and its well made. I have no issues with the craftsmanship as there were no loose threads, no snags or holes or anything like that. It feels decent quality for what it is.

A dress to impress
When I first took this mini dress out of the packaging I wondered how on earth it was going to fit me because it seemed so tiny. However, as soon as I started to put it on I realised how wonderfully stretchy the material was. It is very figure-hugging but extremely flattering and comfortable. I am so impressed by how soft the fishnet and lace material feels. The combination of the micro fishnet body and floral lace at the bust is such a sexy combination. There are flattering faux seams that run down the front and back of the dress to the hemline along with lovely lace detailing along the hemline of the dress which finishes it off nicely. The spaghetti shoulder straps are non-adjustable but I didn’t find this a problem due to the perfect fit of the dress. This dress is described as ‘one size fits most’ and it fitted me perfectly. I’m a size 10/12 and 5ft 6” so not sure the dress would fit a much larger sized lady.

Lovehoney never seizes to impress me!I was really happy when I found out they are coming out with a new line of lingerie and I absolutely had to have this mini dress. Packaging is very simple and non intimidating,just as it is with all LH products.No intimidating or too naked models on the box.Love the black and violet colors,too.It would make a perfect gift for a special someone. But the best is yet to come.This dress is even more impressive in person than it looks on these photos.The fabric of it is very soft and pleasant to the touch.It also seems quite durable.The dress is very well-built.It looks a tad small when you get it out of the packaging,but it’s very,very stretchy and I’m sure it will fit almost anyone.As with all LH lingerie,the dress lives up to the expectation of quality. I love the design of this garment.It combines a lacy floral design with slimming vertical lines.Love the way this looks on me.My partner also agrees and the mess he made on the garment was proof enough for me. If you haven’t given LH lingerie a shot yet-I recommend giving this dress a go.I’m very happy with mine.

Mini dress, mighty sex appeal
Despite having an over-flowing lingerie box, I can always find room for more. So when I got the chance to try this fishnet and lace mini dress, I was more than happy to give it a home. The dress comes in a simple purple and black box, similar to something tights would come in, with the usual, tasteful Lovehoney branding. It isn’t particularly sexy, but it is nicely presented and a world away from the tacky packaging some brands favour. Out of the box, the dress looks very slim-fitting, and I was slightly apprehensive about trying it on as I was worried it would cling to any lumps and bumps and make my size 12 body look unattractive. Not one to be put off easily, I soldiered on and squeezed myself into the fishnet number. Thankfully, it was a good fit, being tight enough to show off the curves of my body without being so tight that it felt uncomfortable. The fishnet material is soft and stretches well, allowing it to accommodate a range of sizes with ease, and the lace panel looks incredibly sexy. It is also wide enough to flatter a bigger bust which is a breath of fresh air after spending years trying to squeeze my DD’s into ‘one size fits all’ lingerie. I’m around 5’6” and found the bottom of the dress sat comfortably around my mid thigh area, but the stretch in the material meant that I could have worn it higher or pulled it lower without detracting from the overall look. Even the thin straps, which are often a pet hate of mine, were comfortable and didn’t dig into my skin as they do with many items. The only minor negative is the elasticated band at the bottom of the dress. Although it serves to hold it in place, I think anyone with larger legs might find it to be a little on the tight side and it would have been better to have a bit more stretch to it. When it comes to my favourite part, I’m torn. The lace panel across the bust is incredibly sexy and really does display your assets in the best possible way, but the back seams add that extra level of naughtiness that I think really takes the dress up a gear in terms of sexiness. I’ve tried a few items of Lovehoney’s own brand lingerie and found them all to be a good fit and well made, and this one is no different. If you are looking for something to flatter your curves and get your other half’s pulse racing, look no further – this certainly did the trick for me.

Great fit, if not as flattering on softer tummies
The overall fit on this dress is great, you don’t worry about the ‘one size’ horror stories here. When you take it out of the packet it is teeny tiny, like child size tiny, so it stretches to your individual body size/shape when you pull it on. This means it’s neither too tight nor too loose anywhere, whether you are on the smaller or larger side of the ‘one size’ scale it molds itself to a perfect fit and gives you a beautifully smooth silhouette. I average out at a size 10-12 but with an hourglass figure, so it’s great to find clothing that fits both my large bust/hips and my small waist at the same time! The material is really lovely. For being fishnet, and a very fine mesh fishnet at that, the material itself is very thick and durable and actually quite warm to wear! Definitely a lot higher quality than a pair of fishnet tights, for example. I snagged the dress on a broken nail pulling it on and thought it was a goner, but miraculously it survived unscathed! The material is super soft and while stretchy, it doesn’t have that elastic sort of stretch that springs back and flattens your boobs against you. This means that while it isn’t necessarily very supportive, it still looks great on bigger boobs as it stretches to your shape, rather than sucks you in. The lace detailing is beautiful, particularly at the top of the dress. The scalloped edging sits under your bust, framing it perfectly while drawing attention to the taper towards your waist, and the more opaque flowers actually covered my nipples so it’s fairly modest too. Very classy, very pretty! While the fit was spot on, honestly… I don’t think this dress was the most flattering on me. The way the straps are positioned just looked awkward on my frame, like they were attached in the wrong place. The only way it looked ‘right’ was if I pulled the front panel up higher to give a halterneck look. Very pretty in its own right, and the lace still stayed in the correct place under my bust so still framed it nicely, but it’s not exactly the intended way to wear the dress! So not sure if that’s a positive, that you can adjust it to fit different frames, or a negative, that it only looks right on petite bodies like the model. The lines running down the dress were also not very attractive. I have a mummy tummy and fairly wobbly hips, despite being a size 8-10 up top and 10-12 on the bottom. The lines running down the front of the dress became curved/wavy and distorted and actually emphasised my lumpy bits, not cool! I couldn’t get them to run straight down over my body at all, so while my waist was emphasised by the curved lines (yay) my tummy looked rounder and my hips looked lumpier (er, not yay). The lines on the back were a lot better, as they curved to make my bum look rounder and my waist look smaller. Pity all the lovely lace detailing is on the front! The dress also sat quite a bit longer on me than what it does on the model. Even with it pulled up to collar bone level to get that nice halter neck look, the hemline was still closer to my knees than to my bum; probably about three quarters of the way down. This is great if you’d like a bit more modesty, although you do have to pull it up if you want to wear it during intercourse. Even with the niggles and worry that I wasn’t exactly my prettiest, I still loved the feel of the material against my skin. I still felt good, even if this isn’t going to be my favourite piece of lingerie. Overall, this is a great dress…it just didn’t sit exactly the same way on me as it does on the model. Which is fine, really. I haven’t docked points for that. While I would recommend it as a pretty piece of lingerie I wouldn’t recommend it to ladies who are particularly conscious of their lumpy bits, as you may find as I did that they are emphasised. More toned ladies or ones who still love their wobbles won’t have any problem though 🙂

Sexy little number. I received it in the post discrete like always and when i opened it that wont fit me! I was wrong….im 14/16 and it hid my bumpy bits which it made me feel very sexy. Hubby loved it. I like the fact its small and can be stored away such as chuck in hand bag 😉

Sexy yet simple
As others have said when you open the packing it is tiny! but once you open it up and put in on its a perfect fit (even over my mum tum). Certainly is a welcome addition to the underwear collection for a nice change from just bra and panties. The material though is a little rough but will probably soften up once its worn some more.

Feeling not myself
I must have been feeling particularly wild or out of sorts the day that I chose to pick this item up. It’s not the kind of lingerie item I would usually pick but there’s always room for some adventure and I love a good impulse purchase! It’s so much not my usual thing that in fact a couple of us girls in the office had a little giggle about how it’s not my style at all and was I feeling okay. But I have tried the Lovehoney Long Sleeve Black Mini Dress in the past and loved that, so fast forward, here we are – me the owner of a Fishnet and Lace mini dress. The dress fit me well and it is made from the same great quality material that Lovehoney uses for all it’s stockings, mini dresses and bodystockings. I cannot fault the idea behind these brilliant one size lingerie pieces – they really do stretch to hug your figure and curves. The length was great for me too and I didn’t find it rode up at all either. The dress was much more sheer than I expected, and for that reason I personally wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who is self concious about their tummy area. I found that the material and transparent material highlighted my stomach area, leaving me feeling less than confident in the dress. However, I loved the view from behind! The dress accenuated my derrière and sculpted to my curves for a fantastic silhouette. I think if you want something to flaunt your assets and curves, this is a fantastic, well made dress with pretty floral lace. It’s just not one for us gals who prefer to prefer to conceal rather than highlight.

Loved the look of this on the website and instantly ordered it along with some sexy crotchless underwear. When it arrived it came packaged in a box and when I opened it I was shocked at how small the dress was so I was worried it wouldn’t fit. However the material is well made and stretchy. I’m a size 10 and it fit me nicely. I think anyone bigger than a 14 would struggle to fit into it so I would bear this in mind when ordering. Overall though it’s very sexy and accentuates the features of your body amazingly.

Best buy ever
I’m 5’7″ and a size 14/16. I purchased this in the sale, I’ve paid more for a pair of stockings! I was surprised at how good the quality was. It fitted comfortably and was longer than it appeared in the product picture. I wore it with seamed hold-ups and the seams of the dress lined up perfectly with the seams of the stockings. It was easy to put on and came off without any difficulty.

Not the best fit
Having previously ordered one size items from Lovehoney I couldn’t wait to try this dress on. Unfortunately the fit was nowhere near as nice as I was hoping for. The hem at the bottom is VERY tight and cuts into my thighs. I’m usually a size 10-12, so not sure how someone more voluptuous than me can comfortably fit into this dress. As another reviewer mentioned it’s a great dress to take a few naughty photos of your bum, however I doubt I’ll wear it for any other purpose due to the rather unflattering fit. It’s such a shame as the fabric feels really nice.
