Heat the stones by placing them in a pan of water and bringing it to the boil. Once boiled, remove the pan from the heat, slowly pour water into the sink and tip the rocks onto a towel. Lovely little stones
I loved the idea of these. I brought them back winter last year came in handy as my OH hatred it when I rubbed my cold hands over him, so these solved that problem. They stayed hot for longer then I expected which is a bonus they were easy to use. I love massaging so this just helped mix it up a bit. Better then yet giving an ordinary back rub, uses lots of oil but that doesn’t matter.

Amazing Feeling
I got these and I have to admit I was a bit dubious to how well I would be able to use them. I was worried I would burn myself or my partner at the time I am so so glad I got them. They are amazing. First, let’s mention the little bag they come in, its so cute and feels beautiful. Second, the instructions for them are detailed and tell you how long to heat them for depending on how long you want to use them etc. Last but certainly not least, how they actually feel.. I love them. The heat from the stones take its time to come out, so you can use them for any length of time desired. I used them on the bottom of his back, then moved them to his legs to work there as I massaged his back. The fact they are small enough to move but big enough to work is amazing. The item comes in a lovely velvet bag that you use to store the stones when not in use so adds a bit of luxury (which every lady loves!) Good when used properly
I’d been looking at getting some hot stones for a while, and when these were on offer with some other products I was buying I decided to go for it. The first time I used these with my OH I was a bit impatient and tried to warm them up by putting them in the sink with the hot tap running for a couple of minutes. They were hot at first, but then went cold after about 3 minutes, which was disappointing, but we were in a bit of a rush to use them the first time. The second time we used them, I actually followed the instructions, and they worked perfectly, keeping their heat for a long time. They also feel amazing when used to massage the body, and were thoroughly enjoyable! Definitely keeping these handy for the next time!

Really impressed
When I opened the felt bag these were delivered in, I was really impressed by the quality of these rocks, theyre nice and smooth while some have a few cracks and chips in them but it adds to the charm of them! The way the logo has been carved into the rocks is nice quality and they have a nice feel to them! We’ve used them heated but be careful not to heat them for too long because they can get really hot and retain their heat for a long time! We’ve yet to stick them in the freezer and use them cool but im looking forward to it!

Brilliant Massage Product, Even Singles Can Enjoy It
I ordered the Lovehoney Massage Rocks on a whim, along with a couple of little treats that were part of the 3 for £10 deal. It might sound a tad crazy to order a massage product when you do not have a partner but, seeing I always try to find ways to enjoy myself (and to feel a bit of – artificial, yeah, but anyway – warmth) and to battle loneliness as best as I can, I decided to give it a shot. The rocks arrive in sturdy, black drawstring pouch with a red, heart-shaped logo, and an instruction leaflet that is attached to the bag. There are nine pebbles of varying shapes and sizes – I got a couple of larger rocks (both adorned with the Lovehoney logo) and seven smaller ones (one of these also sports the little heart, the rest of them are smooth, safe for the odd lump or bump). To enjoy that wonderful warmth, heat the stones by putting them in a pot of water and bringing it to the boil – then pour out the water (preferably without scalding yourself too badly), and tip the pebbles onto a towel. Carefully dry the rocks and once you have checked they are not too hot, you are ready to play. This product has obviously been designed for couples (I guess it must be marvellous to use it during romantic playtime – just place most of the rocks on your partner’s shoulders and back, and use one of the larger ones to rub up and down their bodies, preferably with some massage oil or warming lube) but that does not mean there are no ways to have fun with it by yourself. I have been single all my life which means I have to improvise while looking for a bit of warmth – hot baths are the obvious choice number one but warm glass and metal toys, scented massage candles and warming lubes are also really nice. When you do not have a partner (and when you feel like enjoying a bit of quiet me-time full of fantasies), just wear some nice lingerie and use the pebbles without any oil or lube – lie down on your stomach and (yeah, it needs a bit of flexibility but it can be managed) carefully place the pebbles on your back or shoulders so that their warmth caresses you through the fabric. To get a completely different sensation, go for scented massage-candle oil and the feeling of the rocks on your bare skin. In any case, once you have placed the stones, just close your eyes and dream… Obviously, you can also try to rub well-oiled pebbles up and down some more accessible areas of your body, I can wholeheartedly recommend you try to massage your stomach and breasts (do not go for overly hot stones, this area is very sensitive!) while lying on your back, or to rub your legs while you sit on your bed… Even though this may sound silly to some people, I think that not only every couple but also every single person should have their own set of massage pebbles – their warmth is incredibly comforting, folks, so do not hesitate and treat yourself!

my friend bought me hese aa a birthday gift. with being a trained beauticianhe thought they would be good giftfor me so I ccould do the hot stone massge on her when we have our girly nights but its not just them nights which have benefited from her getting them for me my husband loves them as well as me. all you need to do is put them in a pan with water bring the water to boil (be careful when doing the next bit) just drain the water away and place the stones on a towle to dry them off and cool down a little then the fun relaxation can begin. I use sightly warmed oil when using them to massage on other people and you can use them on your self perfect for if you have been on your feet all day the heat helos relax your feet if you place the smaller ones between your toes its amazing and the lovely bag you get with them is a perfect way to keep the stones together and be ready for you to use them again. Good for both massage and back pain
I bought these rocks for the OH as a treat, she loves to be massaged and this was something new to try. They came in a nice soft padded drawstring bag, and looked really special. The Stones themselves holding the LoveHoney logo, looked like a nice quality item. So, following the instructions I dropped them in a pan and brought to the boil, then removed and placed on a towel to dry, My god they were hot to the touch at this point. So I dunked them in some cold water to bring them down a bit so they were usable. – Note, the first time we boiled the stones, there was a strange smell emitted, this went quickly and hasn’t come back since. With plenty of massage oil applied, these stones can be placed on the skin ready to start massage (make sure you test them for temperature first – I tried them on the inside of my wrist). They were an instant hit, and we could not get enough of rubbing the hot oiled stones on each other. the feeling of the temperature is like no other massage I have had before. I did notice that they can loose their heat fairly quickly, so divided the stones into two, and put one set back in the pan of hot water on the bedside whilst the other set was being used, then kept swapping when they had cooled. We have also used them to help with back pain, where they were an absolute godsend. Definitely give them a try if you like massage, you wont be disappointed.

Surprisingly, very impressive
My partner bought these for me as gift for my birthday as I am the type of person who is always wanting my back tickled or a massage. I must admit that upon opening I didn’t think much of the product and assumed it was more of a novelty gift rather than something you are able to enjoy buy boy was I wrong! I heated the massage stones up in a pan, drained out the hot water and placed on a tea towel. As always, these massage rocks arrived quickly and discreetly. Thanks, Lovehoney, for not making your products tacky or “obvious”. My husband has a stressful job so it’s nice to be able to give him a bit of a massage, help him take his mind off things, etc. I usually use a bit of massage oil, but decided to buy these in a bid to try something new. The rocks themselves are hefty – well weighted. They’re polished and smooth, lovely sensual texture! Perfect for dragging across the skin with a bit of massage oil or simply sitting on the back for heat transfer. Easy enough to heat up – I put the rocks in a saucepan with some water and brought to a gentle simmer. Then, I let them sit out for a few minutes until they were at a body safe temperature. You could easily pour over water from a hot kettle and do the same thing. Best used with a bit of massage oil. Make sure your partner is comfortable with the heat levels before continuing! I’m quite sensitive to heat and prefer them on the warm side, whereas my partner likes a hotter rock. All in all, an excellent tool and it helped my husband’s knotty and achey back – an excellent start to our evening! Great if used in a non-sexual way but can also easily contribute to a lovely night in.

Bought these to help add a bit of variety to sensual massage and they did not disappoint! They are simple to heat by putting them in a bowl of hot water and they retain heat remarkably well. They definitely add to a pleasurable massage and work well with essential oils ( I usually use a mix of cedarwood, sandalwood and ylang ylang with a carrier oil). You can also add more pressure (for a deep tissue massage) than with your hands alone by pressing on them. They are very smooth and in a nice presentation bag. Ideal for yourself or as a gift. I’d just like to start by saying I’ve paid £80 for an hour hot stone massage that hasn’t compared to the quality these stones provided. Admittedly, this is partly down to the skills of my OH (and I do recommend you do some practice without them before you dive it), but these little beauties manage to reach tender spots better than any I’ve had before! The packaging is lovely and adorable. I leave them out on the bedside table because the black velvet bag is so luxurious. The stones themselves are all different shapes, so you can really play with them. I’m not one for cool massages, so we’ve only used these hot which felt amazing. Heating them was really easy. Took under 2 minutes in hot water and if you add massage candle oil, they stay lovely and warm for ages. On that note, I cannot recommend using oil enough! Lotion doesn’t seem to last very well and hot oil feels incredible. If I have any negative comments it would be that 1. these aren’t easy to clean if they are oily and 2. my partner wasn’t a huge fan because he said he couldn’t tell if he was hurting me with them and he like to feel my skin instead. The second is just personal preference though so I wouldn’t let it put you off! If you want a sensual and genuinely beneficial massage you can’t go far wrong with these.

I love giving my girlfriend a massage and they are a great way to start of an adventurous night together. These little rocks are a great little addition to my current massage routine. I usually use love honeys candle wax massage oil with these to really give a great experience. The rocks themselves don’t have a great deal in variation in size, well mine didn’t anyway and they are all roughly oval so great for massaging with. They are polished and are really smooth to touch and retain their heat quite well for a good length of time. I would definitely use some form of oil or lubricant that isn’t easily soaked up for both yourself and your partner’s comfort. Amazing Relaxing Experience
Purchased these as part of an anniversary gift for my partner who absolutely LOVES massages (He is male). They arrived in a lovely little gift bag and the rocks themselves looked really nice. The only slight criticism is that if you use cold baby oil or massage oil then the stones lose their heat really quickly. The rocks vary in shape and size but all fit in the palm of the hand and had a nice weight to them when placed on your back or shoulders. Following a back massage I used these on my OH, he loved it, it made him relaxed and helped with his bad back. Before buying these I read a lot of reviews, a few people said theses rocks did not retain the heat, that was not my experience. I boiled the kettle, put the boiling water into a bowl and then put the massage rocks into the bowl and then used the rocks. These massage rocks do retain the heat and does the job.

Upon opening the little luxury velour black bag the rocks are very smooth and vary in size, there are larger rocks, round rocks and a couple with angled edges to get into the mussels on the shoulders.I heated the kettle and poured it over the rocks in a bowl and left then for about 5 mins this was enough time to heat, after taking them out I wrapped them in a small towel to retain the heat and proceded to use them on my husbands back, make sure you check the they are not too hot as they do hold the heat well. As with all massage products, the most important factor is the feeling. These really do hit the spot for deep massages as the stones will keep the heat for a significant period of time. This allows the heat to slowly penetrate deep into your skin. As for criticism, clearly the ‘starting’ price is far too expensive, and if you shop around the market you can see the price as per the 3 for £10 promotion is much more in line with competition. As part of the 3 for £10 then, these really do present an excellent purchase, as you get a good price with the added bonus of the excellent LH customer service. For LH: I think your next edition should be in a different bag design. Velour is a love/hate material option, and personally I think this bag looks a bit tacky. I have also bought stones from a competitor, and I must say the more plain and simple bag is much more appealing and in line with the relaxed mood of a massage.

Some are rounded, others are more flattened but I found that the different shapes mean you can use them in different ways. For instance you could use a thin edge to concentrate pressure in a smaller area while using the larger stones is more like using the heel of your hand. Just experiment with the shapes and edges on the stones to see how they feel different from each other is my suggestion! I simply added hot water from the tap which in my place is very hot, so you may need to partially boil a kettle of water just taking care to check the stones before you use them on your partner! Wrapping them in a nice fluffy towel helps retain the heat. A slick of nice massage oil will help a lot and add to the experience too. I like to choose a scent to help, so a nice sensual scent will help set such a mood but if your partner perhaps needs a bit of TLC or reinvigorating there are great oils that encourage relaxation or pep you up. Follow your nose when you select your oil is my advice. You could use these hot and cold for a bit of temperature play on the body as well and at least they’re not so wet as ice cubes if that was an issue. My partner and I have used these many times. They are absolutely brilliant. They are so good for either a relaxing time or to get things moving in the bedroom. They are so easy to get hot, simply warm them in a pan of boiling water, get the massage oil on your partners back and roll the rocks around the back as you choose and listen to your partner moan with enjoyment! Bought these as part of the 3 for £10 offer, and have since bought more as they are that good. Massage therapist by trade, I have a larger professional set that cost a great deal more. These are equally as effective, we’ll packaged and transportable. They come in their own drawstring pouch with merely the lovehoney heart logo, making it extremely discreet. Hot stuff
Purchased these as part of the 3 for £10, as some little treats for a romantic weekend away (along with the Lovehoney Oh! Sensual Body Massager). And boy did they not disappoint. As with all of my Lovehoney orders it arrived on time and packaged in a plain brown cardboard box. I then kept them hidden till our weekend getaway. Since our hotel room lacked a pan or a hob for that matter I heated them using a mug (all the stones fit in one mug) and boiling water from the kettle. I left them to heat up and in the meantime I gave my partner a massage with Lovehoney Oh! Sensual Body Massager. With my partner primed I emptied the stone out of the mug, gave them a quick dry with a towel and left them to cool for a couple of minutes. Once they were at a suitable temperature (check them all because each stone cools at a different rate…ooops) I ran each stone along my partners back. With each stone I changed the pattern and pressure of the massage which my OH thoroughly enjoyed. Will try a mixture of hot and cold stones next time.

The perfect massage tool
These arrived quickly and discreetly as per all of Lovehoney’s orders. The massage rocks come with a cute little black velvet bag, which is excellent for storing them in and makes them look a lot more attractive than just keeping them separately. I partly boiled the kettle, placed the stones in a big bowl and covered them in the water, and collected them after a few minutes. I kept them in a towel for a few minutes and started preparing to use them, the big ones were far too hot, and I think it was the opposite of relaxing when I put a far too hot stone on my partner’s back. Once they were the perfect temperature, I drizzled some massage oil on my partner’s back and then started using the stones. My partner absolutely loved them, I left them on his back for a few moments and then gently rolled the bigger ones around his shoulders, and he said it was really relaxing, and an excellent sensual addition to our massages. Lovely massage
Arrived very quickly. Came in lovely black velvet bag with makes them very discreet and adds a bit of sparkle to it all. The rocks came in a range of sizes and came with instructions of how to heat them up! I boiled the kettle, placed the stones in a big bowl and covered them in the water, then collected them after a few minutes. I kept them in a towel for a few minute, to me the warmer the better for the rocks and certainly hit the spot when used. We added some massage oil after a while and made the whole thing more sensual and easy to roll them all over the body. Very good for setting the mood and relaxing us, to the point my partner a the time nearly fell asleep! As part of the 3 for £10 offer they were perfect for the price!

These massage rocks arrived very quickly and came in a great little bag to store them in! Me and my boyfriend massage each other a lot and decided to try something new. I’m really glad we did! When we first used them we decided to try and warm them under the hot tap as after reading reviews people were saying boiling water was too much. We found that they cooled down really quickly so we decided to keep them in boiling water and then dry them off. To start with it was a burning sensations but this quickly turned to pleasure and felt amazing! First time buying anything like this but was well worth the money. I think lots of people would pay good money for someone to do this professionally but why not re-create in your own privacy. Sensual massage
These are my favourite for a massage! They come in a handy little pouch for storage too. The stones are very smooth and soft to the touch. We use these with love honeys massage oil to give a sensual massage. We use them hot and cold simultaneous, we pop some in the freezer a few hours before and the others in boiling water about 15 minutes before use the massage oil first then start placing your stones but be careful they aren’t too hot you do not want to cause burns, he does it every time!! They could do with a few heavier ones but that’s just me.

Perfect Massage
I brought these massage rocks in the 3 for £10 deal they are normally £8.99 if you brought them alone. They are excellent value for money and are a great product. I have never had a hot rock massage before and I really wanted to give it a go. The instructions on the packaging were easy to read and follow. I heated the rocks up in a saucepan of hot water and then let them cool down on a towel till they were the right temperature for me. You need to use some massage oil with these rocks and the feeling it gives when the hot rocks are rubbed over your body is incredible. I loved how the rocks came in their own draw string velvet bag which is great for keeping them all together. The only down side to this product I would say there was no instructions on how to give a hot rock massage (step to step guide) which would be really useful. Overall, this product is great value for money and gives an amazing massage!

Great sensual massage
My OH is always giving me massages, so I thought I would go on further as she always said she would like a hot stones massage. They come in a nice neat box with a velvet bag to keep them in as I would imagine they would be easily lost if not. Really easy to heat up in a pan of water brought to the boil and tip out and Pop them into a tea towel. Just make sure they are not to hot before popping them on. You will need some sort of massage oil as they don’t just glide over skin… something I forgot and ended up using moisturiser. Really nice product can’t complain about anything.

Great treat
I bought these and a massage candle to treat my wife and they were just wonderful. I didn’t follow the instructions, I boiled a kettle and warmed them in a plastic jug. They got hot – no surprise really boiling hot. After spreading them out on a small towel they cooled sufficiently to be able to handle comfortably and safely. With the vanilla candle wax dripped on them they were an excellent massage tool. When left on her back they stayed warm for quite a while and overall it added greatly to the experience.

I got these as part of the 3 for £10 as I needed to add an extra item. My OH loves massages so I thought I’d buy these for him. The instructions are really easy to follow. Just put in a pan of hot water, pat them dry and they’re ready to use. They really retain the heat for a long time which I was really impressed with but just check they are a comfortable temperature first before using. I left them for 10 mins before using them on my partner. They’re incredibly smooth so I didn’t need any massage oil but I can imagine having read some of the other reviews here that using massage oil with them will increase the sensuality and make these even better – maybe something we will do next time we use them! I ordered these to spice things up between me and my partner, and they did not disappoint. The stones come in a small, velvet bag, and have a good heavy weight to them. There are a large number of the stones in the bag, allowing the stones to be placed all over! The instructions say to heat the stones up in a pot on the stove, but we found boiling the kettle, and leaving the stones in the bowl of hot water worked just fine. This also allows you to take the bowl with you to the bedroom, preventing awkward pauses to re-warm the stones in the middle. To mix things up you can also use a bowl of ice water for sensation play and alternate the stones! The stones can be used to massage, helping to get knots out of an aching back, or simply placed and rolled for more of a gentle experience. The stones quickly become cool enough for the giver to handle, and create a wonderful relaxing heat. Using a massage oil or similar with the stones does help them glide over the body, so I would recommend this as ell. Fun and sensual
I bought these rocks after my OH said she would like a massage with no expectation that it would go any further. Having searched for something other than solely massages oil to use with hands, I opted for these. The item (along with others) came very discreetly packaged the next day. Very nicely packaged in a drawstring bag too. It has taken a couple of months to have to right moment to use them but after a stressful few days at work I offered my wife a massage, although at the time she didn’t know about the stones. I heated up as per the instructions which doesn’t take too long, do take time to test the temperature of them before using as they can get quite hot. After applying some oil the rocks were then placed on the back, with initial query as to what it was. However almost straight away the warmth of the stones seemed to be a winner and helped to release some of the tense shoulders! Little stones of fun
I have received this item along with other LH products. I am happy I did not write the review in April when I bought the items… So I am now able to write a proper review… The item was delivered on time, as always… All the items I ordered arrived in a plain box package, which is definitely a plus, no LH logos whatsoever… The original packaging was a small pink box, nothing to fancy… The stones themselves aren’t to big, so you can’t really hold them in your hand like a big rock, which for me is a bit easier for massages than little stones… They look nice, they have a black shiny colour to them. I have warmed these up on a hot radiator. They held the heat for about maybe two minutes, and after that I just swapped the stones on and off the radiator. That gave me minimum of 20 minutes for my OH’s massage. She loved it. I wouldn’t mind the stones being bigger, but this certainly did the job as far as hot rock foreplay massages go 🙂 I use them at least 1 a month on my OH, and we love it 🙂

Ultimate relaxer
My OH and I use Lovehoney regularly and we added the massage rocks to an order on a whim. We both enjoy giving and receiving massages and wanted to try something new. I read through the reviews prior to purchasing these and another reviewer suggested boiling the kettle and bringing the rocks up to the bedroom in a bowl of hot water rather than just heating them in a pan. They do cool down fairly quickly so I would recommend this strategy as well. Do test the temperature of the rocks when you take them out of the water! They can get quite hot. I ended up having two out at a time (one in each hand) and rotating them with the rocks that were staying warm in the water. We used them as massage tools (with massage oil) rather than just placing them on specific points on the receiver’s back. They cool down fairly quickly (a few minutes) but we didn’t find this was an issue with the way we were using them. My OH commented that he didn’t realise how much tension he had in one side of his back until we started and that the rocks were really effective in relieving this. When giving the massage I found it much easier to get the pressure right for doing this than by just using my hands and I found it less tiring than a manual massage. We switched round and I really enjoyed the smooth feel of the rocks. This was the most relaxing massage I’ve ever had! My heart rate on my Fitbit dropped down to 52 at one point! (My resting heart rate is 67). They really do help to release tension and relax the receiver. I would recommend these as a great purchase to treat your partner to some relaxation, they’re also a lovely way to build intimacy and spend some quality time together. A word of caution: these are not good for foreplay. We were both far too relaxed and sleepy to even consider sex afterwards! We both had an incredible sleep though

Bought this as a bit of an impulse buy to give our massages a little extra element. We both love the feeling of the warmth of rocks both just on the skin but also when they are used with oil to massage with. We bought these hot stones after experiencing them at a spa on holiday. It was a nice feeling and we thought we’d like to recreate it, with romance this time! They are very easy to heat up in a pan. Doesn’t take long at all. They are ready to use after about 5 minutes once they’ve cooled a little, though you could use them before if you have a high threshold for heat. They are small enough to hold in your hand and run over the skin. They glide perfectly if you apply massage oil first. The hot stones feel very relaxing being run across your body, especially legs and back. It’s a very relaxing and pleasurable experience. It’s also nice to leave them in certain areas that have tension, such as the upper back. They also feel relaxing on your face.For the price, these little gems are an absolute bargain and if you’re into massage they are an essential extra. The only negative is that once your used them on the back, they need re-heating to use on the legs and front. These rocks feel amazing in a massage with some oil! The instructions are easily to follow as all you need to do essentially is heat them in some boiling water. I would say be careful initially as they will burn so let them cool for a while before putting them on the skin. Are these awesome? Yes….but I find they take a few uses before they are perfect.When I first used them I found some of the paint on the rocks was coming off both while I was boiling them and putting them on my spouse. I also found it didn’t retain its heat that well.After 2-3 uses they worked perfectly: the rocks retained their heat, the paint stopped leaving weird black marks in the pot or body (easy to clean). Warming in boiling water really does do the trick and then if you wrap them in a towel afterwards, they retain their heat a little easier. Unless of course you want to use them all at one time, which is also quite pleasurable.
