Flying without wings
I was given the opportunity to test and review this toy so thank you, Lovehoney. The box for the toy is the standard Lifelike Lover box with a picture of the toy on a few sides with all the information you need printed on it. It’s sealed in a plastic bag inside for hygiene. It’s taken me a while longer to write this review (my apologies, Brenna), but I needed to put into words how great a toy this is. I’ve never used a thrusting AND rotating toy before. I’ve used a thrusting toy (Swan Motion rabbit – one of the only rabbits that’s worked for me) and a toy many years ago that rotated (my first ever rabbit which was an absolute disaster in its entirety but I loved bits of it including the rotating beads). This beauty does both in a really good way. It’s quite a large realistically shaped and coloured dildo made of soft silicone that doesn’t seem prone to picking up too much dust and lint. It’s waterproof and is USB rechargeable. It’s harness compatible and has a strong suction cup (great for use in the shower). So far so good, all boxes ticked. I charged it up as soon as it arrived. It has a flashing light to show when it’s charging. It had some charge already so took just over an hour. I’ve done quite a bit of testing but still only had to charge it once, so the battery life seems good. It’s a pretty heavy toy but it sticks well to my shower tiles. It has twelve functions, three speeds of vibrations only, three speeds of thrust, vibe and rotate and six patterns using thrust, vibe and rotate. To switch on you need to press and hold the power button for two seconds (a light comes on under it). Then press it again and off you go. The first time I switched it on I was mesmerised. I stuck it to my kitchen table and just watched it for a few minutes. A thing of wonder! With that, it was time to wash and play. As it’s waterproof it’s really easy to look after. I use Lovehoney’s own cleanser then give it a squirt of Pjur Med cleanser. In use, the silicone is slightly draggy so I needed plenty of water-based lube (like Lovehoney’s Enjoy. Silicone lubes can damage silicone toys). It’s quite a big toy – larger than I’m used to – so I needed to warm up first. After warm-up it was chocks away. And oh my, did this baby make me fly! Despite its length, it doesn’t need to be fully inserted to get the benefit of the rotating mechanism. I have a fairly short vaginal canal so am happy that the designers have put this mechanism in exactly the right place to do its magic. And magic it is. I can’t remember the rotating beads on my old rabbit ever feeling this good (probably because I don’t have to faff about trying to get bunny ears to line up with my clit!). Add to that the thrusting and I had lift-off! The thrusting movement doesn’t move far but it doesn’t need to. The combination of the head thrusting inside while the beads rotate in the same place is divine. I’ve never experienced anything quite like this before. I used my trusty Tango on my clit at the same time and was seeing stars in minutes. The texture is excellent, too. The silicone isn’t as draggy as some toys but has just enough drag to allow me to place it and leave it resting between my legs, leaving my hands free to use a bullet at the same time. The thrust, even on top speed, isn’t so energetic that it will push the toy out but moves enough to really feel and enjoy. There is a vibration-only pattern if you don’t want the thrust/rotate setting on but the second (magic) button only needs a single press to take it straight back to thrust and rotate. Another press and it goes back to vibe only. The vibration isn’t as strong as some vibrate-only toys but the head of the toy has that lovely squishy-but-firm feeling that they transfer through nicely. I tried the head on my clit and although I usually like strong small-area vibes like the Tango and Mantric bullets, I also managed an orgasm with this. It reminded me a bit of the Tracey Cox Soft bullet I have. There are two downsides of this toy, one remedied quite easily. The other is something that has to be lived with – the noise. It is quite noisy on the rotate/thrust setting. It’s fairly quiet on the vibration setting, though. It’s not as noisy when inserted but something to consider if you’d prefer a nearly silent toy. The other downside was the amount of lube I needed to use with it. However, I remembered that in my stash I have some Lovehoney Release Masturbation lube. Fab stuff that my partner loves me using on him though this was the first time I’ve used it with a toy. So I warmed some up in my hand and applied to the toy and found it worked perfectly. Yay! The highest rating I can give anything is to say whether I’d buy the same item if it broke. I can honestly say I’d replace this beauty in a heartbeat. Love it!

This dildo, as part of the Lifelike Lover range, has a nice realistic shape with plenty of veins and a pronounced head, together with detailed balls. It’s about 8” long with an insertable length of 7”. It has a girth of about 5”. The upper half of the shaft has more ‘give’ in it compared to the lower half which is quite firm. You can feel the internal structure all the way up, though it doesn’t really feel noticeable in use. There is also a good suction cup on the base, which can also be placed in a harness for pegging. Charging is done through a port on the side of the balls, and is one of those where you pierce the ‘skin’ with the charging prong. It takes a couple of hours to fully charge, and should give you an hour of play. There are just two buttons on the base of the shaft. One is the power-on/mode button, the other is a ‘boost’ button. They’re flush with the shaft itself and very close together, so I did have some trouble finding the right button whilst in use. Although I can feel the ‘circle’ of the button with a dry finger as I write this review, doing so whilst covered in lube just didn’t work. Holding the power on button for 2 seconds turns it on, and further presses puts it through (in order) 3 thrusting modes, 6 intermittent-type thrusting modes, and 3 vibration-only modes. The boost button gives you 10 seconds of faster thrusting – this is more noticeable on the first two thrusting modes, as the third is already pretty fast! The thrusting function only actually extends the length of the dildo by half an inch, but the effect feels much more than that as the veins on the shaft move along the whole of the upper half of the dildo. It therefore feels far more realistic than you might think! The ‘rotating’ part of the dildo is internal – think the beads in a rabbit vibrator. In use, I found this to be a very worthy addition to the toy-box. I have previously struggled to find a comfortable position to use suction cup dildos, but with this one I can simply get in position and have it do all the work! It found my P-spot easily and worked its magic surprisingly quickly. The firm internal structure of the dildo does mean that there is zero bend-ability to it, so positions for use may be more limited than other dildos, but that certainly does not limit its ability to give a good result.

Ehhhh, it’s alright. The thrusting and rotating motion and the dildo’s size are great, but the intensity/power was not. The size was nice and big, but the buttons are not all that accessible during play because of where they are placed. The texture and feel inside are soooo nice because of the veins/head. Overall, I’ve just had better experiences and I think that the issue with the buttons is really detrimental.

Feedback from the lucky recipient! Usual discreet packaging, charged it up before use. The size was Impressive, but it felt good in the hand, and after application of lube, even better once slipped inside.It felt amazing – lots of functions and not roo noisy either. Battery life good too, which is a good thing.However, it is a bit fiddly to operate if enjoying solo fun time, and this does let it down a little. Plunge Paid Off.
I had looked at the Luxe online for a few weeks before I decided to take the plunge and purchase it. I was super excited to try it as I had been craving a thrusting toy for a very long time! I got next day delivery and true to love honeys amazing word, it came in discreet packaging. The toy came with charge, however I placed it on charge for an hour just so it wouldn’t die on me mid use! After a clean of the toy I was ready to play. The buttons are abit fiddly as they are located on the bottom of the shaft and can be frustrating locating it when your hands are otherwise busy .. but it’s not a massive issue when you finally get it. Now this isn’t a silent toy, and as you turn up the speed the noise does increase. But if you are having fun under the sheets it does muffle out a lot of the mechanical noise. The toy has many functions, ranging from the feel of the thrust, the rotating metal balls or just the standard vibrations. This toy does not disappoint. As a personal preference I would rather a thrusting toy that packs a bigger punch; goes faster. But this isn’t a machine. So for the price and size it really is great value. And it certainly does aim to please. It has been added to my regular use toy collection and I am happy I took the plunge. Definitely recommend going for it for anyone who like me was unsure. You will not be left unsatisfied with the Lifelike Lover Luxe.

Fun but could use a manual
My partner and I each played with this toy. It took a minute to figure out how to charge and work the buttons. A mini manual would have been helpful. It does struggle a bit to go through it’s full range of motion when in a “tighter” area, but it’s still fun. The function where it sort of pulses seems to work best in those instances. The silicone is soft and feels close to the real thing.

This dildo isn’t my first and wont be my last from love honey but wow it certainly was different to the rest. upon unboxing it was a bit difficult to understand how to work, i knew how to charge etc (at least i thought i knew) so i left it on charge for around 2 hours and when i went back to it i realised it wasn’t turning on. After fully scanning the box for instructions i realised you need to hold the power button for 2 seconds to power it on then use the same button to cycle through settings. This still didn’t work for me so i thought i got a faulty one which was pretty upsetting to me. However after playing about with the buttons for a while i attempted to plug it back in and wait a bit to which i was surprised it lit up and showed it was charging. Turns out when plugging the charger in you need to put it in further until this charging light appears… it would be nice if there was more instruction in the box like a mini booklet or a tiny leaflet. (instructions are on the tab in the opening of the box btw).so after charging for maybe 1.5 hours i got a fair bit of use out of it and for the first time using it was amazing. I do not bottom often and i bought this as a way of ‘training’ myself and wow it deffo helped. The dildo itself is quite hard but the silicone does have a lifelike skin feeling which allows it to glide in… The only critique i really have about this dildo is that for anal use i don’t think it works as well as its a tighter area and i found it would often be too weak to fully thrust but all i needed to do was to relax a little to get it going again. Now i don’t know if all vibrating dildos are like this but wow it got me good and i’ve tried prostate massagers before and they were nothing like this.As for the sound of it, i wouldn’t say its silent but i live in the same house as my mother and i can quite comfortably say with her in the next room sleeping i could use it under the covers and she would be none the wiser. if she was awake she maybe would have heard it but its more of a droning sound.I am still yet to fully understand the pulsing and vibrating settings and which ones are best for me but the first 2 thrusting settings are amazing especially with the power boost.

It can feel amazing but the motor is a bit weak
This toy is capable of giving me my favourite orgasm but due to the weak motor it can be difficult to achieve. I really wish it just had a stronger motor, even at the expense of battery life, that would make it the best toy I own. The length and diameter are perfect for me however, good for the intermediate, but will still work for more advanced users too.Overall a good toy but if you want it to move/vibrate/twist in all situations at all times then I’d look elsewhere.

So I ordered this and couldn’t get it to work. After contacting love honey, they sent out a replacement which did work. The buttons confuse me a little as I can’t figure out which ones to press to change settings! But once I’ve got it on, it’s great! Frustrating
It’s a great toy, I get amazing orgasms from it. It’s rigid, but a bit of lube and its silicone skin easily glides in. We bought this about 6 weeks ago now and we both really like it. The first thing I noticed was how hard and rigid it was. I expected there to be a little bit of give but there’s none, which made it uncomfortable for the receiver when put into a strap. There’s roughly 40/50 minutes of charge and the vibration is okay but if you press the vibration booster, expect to lose power quicker and I needed the booster to feel it enough to enjoy it. Functions were fine if you lay on your back, no good to straddle- the thrust struggled to work. Lovehoney are great though and refunded me, so the hunt for a decent vibrating toy continues.

The bad first. As stated in other reviews, the buttons are really difficult to find. There is a light when it’s on, but it’s not like I’m going to see it when it is in use. I think I’ll use little silicon dots to mark the spots when I find my stash. That will make it easier to push the buttons as well. My previous model actually gave me a blood blister because the ridges pinched, but this is smooth and it’s not a problem. It does bog down under pressure (wink) but it isn’t a big issue. It has become my favorite dildo.

This is absolutely the worse device i have ever come across buying toys for 40 years. The button to turn it on is nearly impossible to get on, then for it to function you have to struggle with the same type of button for each setting try that with lube on your hands. Spend the extra money get a app or cordless controller. Do not spend your money. I will say Lovehoney CS was outstanding and immediately refunded me my money.

When i took it out the plastic bag within its cardboard box, i was not a fan of the material feel of the toy. It does have some power to it which is great but i think i overall would not go for it again, as the feel has really put me off a bit.

Believe the bad reviews, if you’re looking for a dildo, just buy a dildo. If you really want the thrusting action, save for a proper sex machine. The buttons are hard to reach, it isn’t flexible and upon inserting it loses ALL power.

Not worth it for the faults
This was a wonderful toy — when it worked. The button being hard to press is a manageable issue for what it does (and does well!). However, call me crazy, but I should think it would take more than four uses before it stops holding charge or breaking. I’m considering requesting a refund, if not an exchange, because surely this breakdown is an exception given all the positive reviews it’s had! Until the kinks are worked out (or a replacement unit proved to work much better), I don’t think it’s worth the price unfortunately.

In terms of getting you off this toy is in a league of its own, it will honestly blow your socks off and when you get the right angle oh my god STARS. The issue is the longevity isn’t there. It’s very hard to find the charging hole at first which is buried in the “flesh” and I was honestly concerned that I would break it. The battery life is shocking and after just over a year mine completely gave up the ghost and stopped working which for the price I’m a bit gutted really. It was so great orgasm wise but I’m not sure I can justify buying again incase it dies on me…
