Looking after your period underwear is super simple. Before washing, rinse in cold water to remove residues to make sure they are ready for the washing machine. Once done, wash them on a cold cycle designed for delicates, with laundry detergent safe for black garments, or hand wash them in lukewarm water.

These period pants are surprisingly leakproof and extremely comfortable to wear on the crotch area. I usually wear reusable pads and have tried some expensive period pants but haven’t got along with any just yet. I have size large in these (usually 12-14) but I could have done with one size up or even 2 just for the extra bloat. These pants have a full elastic band which was just too tight, I would have preferred elastic sewn into the waistband rather than a thick band all across making it too uncomfortable to wear. I am always aware when wearing them as they are so tight and can’t stop thinking about taking them off! Otherwise they fit really well around the rest of my body/ bum it’s just the waist that doesn’t work for me. However, really pleased that they lasted all day during my medium to heavy flow. I didn’t feel conscious that I was leaking at all as I felt very protected. They are really comfortable to wear pad/ protective wise as you don’t have that feeling of sitting in a soaked pad that you get with disposable ones. I also like that I don’t have to keep going to check or readjust like I do with my reusable pads and they give good coverage and feel soft against skin compared to other period pants I own.The only flaw is the design, really not pretty or attractive in any way. I feel the design is slightly teen/ childlike with the colours and placement of design and the design itself. I am really very against the thick elastic band and think that should be changed to a sewn in elastic waist band like regular pants. If not for that I would definitely rate these 5 stars as the protection and comfort against skin/ intimate area is excellent and I feel confident that I am not leaking. So pleased it can last a whole day as I have a heavy flow too. I would recommend them as an affordable starter pack or as back up to keep in your bag for work etc but nothing more than that. Unfortunately until there have been some improvements I personally won’t be adding more of these to my collection and will continue to search for the perfect period pants.
