Flickingly good fun
I was curious about trying this flickering tongue vibrator as oral has never been something that really gets my juices flowing so to speak so the thought of a toy imitating a tongue made me think it probably wouldn’t do much for me but I was pleasantly surprised! Firstly when receiving the toy I did have a giggle at the packaging with a picture of the Dr who designed the toy and also with a picture of the sea in the background, which I thought was a bit weird but that’s easily forgotten about once its in the bin. Out of the packaging the toy is made out of silicon so has a lovely smooth feel to it and the tongue shaped part of the toy has a small curve in it and is a few inches long so its actually like a real tongue when placed against the clit. To insert the two AA batteries you simply unscrew the base and slide them inside, I did find trying to screw the base back on a bit fiddly though. To switch it on you press the button in the centre of the base of the toy. Once I switched it on I was really shocked at just how quiet this toy was, its great if you need to be discrete as its literally whisper quiet! When it comes to the vibrations they are pretty good to say the least. The lowest setting is still fairly strong and I probably could have happily kept it on that setting whilst using the toy but my curiosity got the better of me! The highest setting whilst is more powerful isn’t quite as powerful as id have thought but I wouldn’t knock the toy for that at it still delivers great vibrations besides the flickering movement of the tip adds a completely different dimension to how using a bullet on your clit would feel. Its a different type of stimulation which I loved, whilst it may not be as strong as 1 or 2 of my bullets I would still easily pick it over them for when I want something other than just a “buzzing” feeling. Another bonus is that the vibrator is waterproof so I shall definitely be venturing into the shower with this toy at some point!

Hello wasted weekend
Usually I use the Basics Love Egg for clitoral stimulation, because it’s powerful and I can stuff my knickers with it and play hands-free. Recently though mine broke, and while I was ordering a new one I checked out the ‘powerful vibes’ section. Most of those all look the same, but this caught my eye and after watching the product video and seeing how fast it could move I had to order it. The price was excellent, and the delivery very fast – ordered it on Thursday and it was delivered while I was at work the following day. It looks really grown up. Usually my toys are bright purple or pink, but this has some sophistication going on. It also feels far more expensive than it costs – the screw base is well fitted, quality plastic, and the whole body of the toy has a nice weight and a soft silicone feel. Three AA batteries – no messing around trying to find Cs or whatever. It really does move like in the video, so fast and, providing you keep the pressure moderate, the ‘licking’ sensation is toecurling. Even though I’ve been using a gspot vibe on m clit, this was still really, really intense, even on the ‘lower’ setting. I usually have multiple orgasms one in every ten, but I’ve used this twice since getting it and have had one both times. Quietness isn’t really an issue for me, as I don’t share a flat or anything, but it’s quieter than some clit vibes I’ve had. The only down side is that I like to come down gently, and usually switch to a low setting on my egg to ride it out, but with this there’s no low setting. I enjoyed turning it off and using it to ‘lick’ gently, but the tip was just slightly too thin, and it kept catching my clit and making me shiver. Bottom line, if you’re bored of samey clit vibes that don’t deliver the power they promise? This is the best thing I’ve tried in ages.

Two strong speeds
The flickering tapered tongue gives a different sensation to most sex toys. The two speeds, however, are very similar! A difference between the two and perhaps a third speed or even a pattern, would have really improved this toy. Disappointing

However, I’m a bit disappointed as it’s not as powerful as I was expecting, it’s heavy on batteries and there is barely any discernable difference between the two power settings. Incredible

Too powerful for me

Suprisingly amazing

Not powerful enough
When I seen the Dr Joel Kaplan Throbbing Power Play Flickering Tongue I got excited, really excited. I absolutely love the feeling of oral sex so I just had to try this. It was delivered very quickly in the usual discreet brown box from Lovehoney. The vibrator itself came in one of those clear clamshell type of packaging along with a card backing with a photo of Dr Joel Kaplan. Not really sexy in my eyes but I bought it for the toy itself not the packaging. The vibrator is made of smooth black silicone and the tongue is thick and flexible. The on/off button is actually indented into the body of the vibrator, there are 2 speeds although I couldn’t really tell any difference between the 2. You screw off the bottom piece of the vibrator to insert the 3 AA batteries that are required for the vibrator to work. I popped in 3 lithium AA batteries and turned this sucker on and waited for the power. It seemed rather powerless to me and since I knew they were brand new batteries I knew it wasn’t them so I turned it up to the highest setting and still no power. It was quiet and yes the tongue was flicking but by no means was it powerful for me. I was determined to make this work so I lathered on some lube and tried to get down to business. I placed the tip of the tongue against my clit and relaxed and waited. Nothing….It just wasn’t powerful enough for me. I can see how some beginners or people who don’t like power would like this but if you are a power girl like me then keep looking as this will disappoint. I also fond that this vibrator ate the battery power like crazy. It seems like after a minute or 2 you can already feel it losing power and when it’s not really powerful to begin with that’s a major problem. Great design and idea unfortunately not powerful enough.

When I first received this toy, I had goofed up and put the batteries in wrong. It worked, but I wasn’t too impressed. After fiddling with it and getting the batteries in correctly (don’t judge me), holy balls. My hand went numb and I’m not going to lie, I was a little sore after. This was after five minutes of use. Favourite Toy ever!
This was one of the very first toys I ordered and I have never regretted it for a second! In my first order I bought the LoveHoney Dream Rabbit (very girly, pretty , purple toy) and this one. By comparison, I was a little intimidated by this one, it just looks a bit more serious and it was heavier than I had expected but all of that was immediately forgotten about when I turned it on. Good product
We have used this a lot of the time as it is easy to use you just simply press the bottom and away you go. It always causes very good clitoral stimulation and is worth the money. The tongue is big enough so that when you are having sex you are able to use this on the clit. The only downfall is that it can be loud when you have the highest vibration setting and also the batteries don’t seem to last very long even when we are using Duracell. However I would recommend this product to all.

So firstly, make sure you put the batteries in the right way! I didn’t take much care as was so eager to use it. And it initially worked but the power was so weak I felt disappointed! After finding the satisfier pro 2 and it quickly becoming my go to toy, I was intrigued to see what else was on the market for clitoral stimulations. Dr Joel Kaplan’s power play tongue vibrator did not disappoint at all! The surface of the ‘tongue’ is large enough to cover the clit and the surrounding area. After only using it a few times I can guarantee this will be in heavy rotation for solo play and may even be integrated into coupled sex for added flavour. The only downside for this toy would be that there are only two speeds and they’re very similar so if you don’t love a stong vibe this isn’t for you, as well as the handle vibrating as much as the rest giving you that numb hand feeling after a while and the tongue being flexible means that you can’t really apply a lot of pressure and still get the same sensation.

I waited months to get this well rated toy! I was so excited when I got a email to say it was back in stock! I ordered straight away.
