Soft and Strong - The Andrex of Bondage Kits
My first beginner’s restraint kit was the Tracey Cox one but it wasn’t as good quality as I had hoped – while we had a lot of fun, on the first use my boyfriend tore the cuffs! For someone who’s a little nervous, that might be reassuring, but I wanted to upgrade to something that I could actually pull against without fear of it ripping. I was thrilled to get this much sturdier and more durable set to test. They are generally higher quality – the cuffs are padded, and soft, instead of just being made of a sheet of fragile velvet material. The only downside of this is if you have tiny wrists (like we do!) it’s a little bit more difficult to get it pulled tightly around the wrist, as there is a bit of firmness in the cuffs. The straps are near identical – a rough material similar to that of a car seat-belt. It’s not the prettiest but it is very effective, as it’s very strong and the friction means that even something as weak as a granny knot will hold firmly – whilst at the same time taking only a second to undo intentionally. I personally love the fact that the cuffs seal with velcro – it’s easy to get a perfect fit, it’s even easier to undo when you want to, and it’s comfortable and not intimidating at all. If you’re looking for something that has the more visual element of leather and buckles, a beginners’ kit might not be what you’re after, but just for some comfortable and functional restraints they’re great. The thicker strip of elastic on the blindfold means that it holds in place better than most – and in that design it’s the best one I’ve tried. It is a blackout blindfold, but on that style even with a well-cut dip for the nose, it’s impossible to get it completely sealed, so you will still be able to peak. The lovehoney / 5SOG soft satin blindfold has a built in wire that you can bend to fit the contours of your face is the only one that I’ve tried that actually prevents this, but because they’re soft satin it’s hard to tie the knots so that they’re comfortable and don’t slip – it’s just a question of which flaw you prefer. Because this is a tester item that hasn’t gone live yet, I don’t know how much this will be sold for, but I would say it is good quality and well made – much better than the Tracey Cox set, although I haven’t tried the Sportsheets one to compare. If it does retail at a higher price, I’d still say it would be worth it, as if you do like using restraints you won’t immediately want to upgrade, and with lovehoney’s amazing returns policy if you don’t like it as much as you hoped, just send it back. If it isn’t more expensive it’s not even a question – just buy this one now.

We are very happy with this kit. We were going to go with a cheaper option at first, but having read the reviews on Lovehoney we decided upon this one instead, are are so glad that we did. The stitching is firm and the Velcro fastenings are strong and do not move, even when you strain against them, allowing us to change positions quickly and easily. The tethers were not quite long enough for our needs the first time that we used it; however this was due to us being in a hotel with a king sized bed (our bed at home is iron framed and they are perfect for it – it’s just a shame we can’t get to enjoy it as often as we would like as we always run the risk of a visit from one of the kids!) The padding on the cuffs means they are very comfortable to wear – as relative beginners we did want anything that may chafe, and this is just the job. The blindfold is a nice addition; larger than others we have used and very comfortable, but can ride up when we get a bit vigorous. This was easily fixed though by wearing a smaller one underneath.

my girlfriend recently purchased this kit as it was something we had discussed trying. We’re very pleased with the quality and comfort of this kit. My girlfriend feels comfortable when tied up but secure enough not to be able to move. The Velcro straps are ideal as they don’t leave marks. She’s recently used them on me and I agree they feel fantastic. We’ve not used the blindfold as we had recently purchased another one which seemed better quality, but is useful as a backup Totally recommend.

This was our first bondage kit like actual kit purchased as we have used ties beforehand but this was actually OK..we used the wrist cuffs only as we don’t have a bottom headboard as such ..they were very comfortable but would have liked them abit tighter around my wrists (which I’m sure we’ll get the hang off with more practice )I also found if I held the straps which were tied to our bed it makes the cuffs abit tighter mmmmm 😉 the eye mask was good too very comfortable but found it did come away from my eyes abit lol either way a very good buy very happy x

Great Intro
Tried these out with my partner; great way to dip the toes into bondage. The cuffs were by all accounts comfortable, and the ties are long enough that movement can be as restricted as much as is wished for. We started with a relatively long length, but by the end she was asking for it to be shortened, despite some initial concerns she might find being restrained too much!

Cuffs are nicely made however straps are WAY too short. Going to have to lengthen them to be able to use this. Wife is happy with the comfort of the blindfold. I would recommend buying another product or plan on buying more strap material so that the person can truly be restrained.

Simply put, amazing
The wife and I bought these after fulfiling a card on the Monogamy board game and we are so pleased we did. We’ve tried the cheap nylon type straps and they just aren’t that comfortable for prolonged use. THESE however are super comfy! Meaning that you or your partner can enjoy using them for longer sessions and even time and time again. Feels like really good quality strapping and wrist supports. It’s opened us up to a whole new world of bondage now we enjoy it more thank to these. We use them all the time now and they’re great. Perfect bondage set

A bit disappointing
Arrived quickly, discreet packaging as always. The “faux fur” is just fleecy tracksuit material so not at all luxurious but is comfortable. The straps could do to be longer – I’ve had to attach extra straps to tie to my bedframe securely. Most disappointing is the eye mask which isn’t a mask at all like pictured but only a wide strip of stretchy fabric that you have to knot and not catch your partners hair in. Hence the title of my review – this product is a bit disappointing compared to my previous purchases.

Very good restraint kit
I bought this kit as I was getting fed up of having to find other items to tie my girlfriend to the bed with. I didn’t want to spend a fortune and I didn’t need an under the mattress set as I have a metal head board and bottom board. The first thing to note, which I did not realise for a while is that there are two straps with slightly longer padding for the ankles. We used them all without checking and had no issue with them fitting so it isn’t so important but may be beneficial to some couples. The velcro padding is very comfortable and strong too as is the eye mask, though movement of the head will make that move, but that is something you will get with all blindfold. For sex involving restraints, my girlfriend will try and escape and I was concerned at the strength of the velcro but it held up brilliantly. The straps were long enough for me to use though I need to learn how to tie them well to the bed frame as otherwise they can be too slack. Overall I am very happy with this set which can be conveniently removed and easily stored after use too.

Great intro to restraints
This is the first time I have ever purchased anything like this. When I’ve suggested in the past to partners about tying me up I have always managed to wriggle my way loose, there is absolutely no chance of that in these! Very secure if attached properly! The first time using them was such a huge turn on. He attached them to the bed frame and there was absolutely no way of me escaping or moving. The cuffs are really comfortable though, even with all my wriggling and tugging they didn’t cut into my wrists or ankles. Sometimes I get vertigo so can’t lie flat on my back without spinning, so when that happens he just knots them behind my back so I can sit up but still at his mercy. Best introduction to restraints. If you’re doubting the purchase just do it! I think everyone should try a bit of bondage 😉

I imagine divan beds will be difficult, Lovehoney sell an under the mattress version, so this may be a better option. Easy to use and suit most beds
These restraints come as separate straps which makes them so versatile. They can be put anywhere to suit the size, shape and type of bed. They can also be used in other places, unlike the under bed type. The cuffs are comfy and can be adjusted a reasonable amount. They don’t seem the sturdiest, so if the bondage was to be a bit more vigorous in nature I’m not sure how they would hold up, but they are more than adequate for some light play.

Bought these to try with new girlfriend. The straps and restraints feel very comfortable and secure pretty well over the wrists and ankles, with a generous amount of strap to have long or short length. Versatile, soft and sexy
I bought these rather than under bed restraints because my bed has posts on the headboard and footboard so I could tie these on easily. It also meant I could use them in other areas.One of my favourites is to tie them to the clothes rail in the fitted wardrobe and then pull the strap over the top of the door and shut it, exposing just the cuffs. This makes for some real fun standing oral or doggy with hands tied over head.You can also tie them to the bottom of the bed and have the person restrained in the kneeling position.The straps are easy to tie themselves very sturdy and soft. The cuffs are very soft, adjust to a variety of sizes and easy to Velcro together. Whilst we don’t often use a blindfold the one that came with this is actually the best we’ve purchased and fits the face quite well.Definitely the best restraint system to start experimenting with bondage.

Great Intro Bondage Kit!
This bondage kit has all you need to get started on some light bondage/BDSM play! Blindfold, wrist and ankle restraints. Great for beginners or even those more experienced that need a bondage kit. Tie up your partner (or get tied up by them) and have your way with them (or they have their way with you)!The wrist and ankle restraints are very soft and plushy, comfortable to wear and don’t dig into your skin at all. The velcro closure on the restraints are accommodating to different sizes of wrists and ankles and also allow you to choose how loose or tight you want the restraints! This was perfect for us as we wanted to still feel comfortable while starting to explore some bondage play. Also the bonds don’t feel too restrictive allowing the submissive to move around a bit still, which is great for beginners, compared to a more rigid or constrained bondage setup like metal or leather which may be too intense for beginners or light BDSM. The nylon straps tied to posts/poles can also kind of be loosened by the submissive if they pull hard enough, which helps with the comfort level for beginners – knowing you can probably escape/loosen up the ties if you were really feeling uncomfortable. However, this could also be a downside if you do want to be more rigidly tied up where it won’t loosen even with a lot of squirming around!The eye mask has a soft cushy material and blocks out the light well, perfect for some sensory deprivation to focus on your body’s sensations or putting extra trust in your partner. However, we found the elastic strap on the eye mask a bit too tight for either of our heads and it was uncomfortable on the forehead after a while. It might be good for smaller heads but we opted not to use the eye mask any more. It was easy enough to replace with a looser eye mask or a blindfold like a tied-up tie that you can make as loose or tight as you want.We found the nylon straps for tying the wrist and ankle restraints to posts or poles worked best for us on the slats of our platform bed frame. This allows you to adjust how high or low along the length of the bed you tie up your partner to, as my partner is relatively short so the very top or very bottom of the bed would be too far away. Very sexy seeing them tied up in spread eagle ready for pleasure! We have a queen size bed, I think smaller beds would work even better with this set, but larger like a king size bed would be too large for us to easily use these restraints. Would also work well for say a headboard that has metal bars along it, or tall enough bed posts at the head and foot of the bed. However, the nylon straps are flat and wide which makes it a bit tricky to initially tie the knot in.The sky’s the limit with where you can use these, basically anywhere there is a pole, post, etc to tie around! Foot of the bed, railings, doors, and so on. We usually stick with the bed for comfort, but there are endless sexy possibilities!
