As always the package was discrete and arrived quickly. The spreader bar is very well made and looks amazing, it is strudy and feels like a high end item. The cuffs have sturdy buckels and straps and the material on the inside is super soft. The bar also has clips to attach hand cuffs to add a little more spice to the bedroom.This item is easy to apply and once locked in the fun begins, the bar gives the dominate person alot of control over the one wearing it and definately adds some spice to the bedroom.I would highly recommend this toy.

Homeward bound
The first thing that caught my eye when opening this product was the cuffs. The quality of the faux leather, sturdy thickness of the cuff, solid buckle, and the lined velvety interior all gave a great first impression.Having used and enjoyed other spreader bars before, but with plastic bars, this feels and looks like a much higher end product. The cuffs are comfortable to wear with the lining, and is easy for a partner to secure the buckle. This is due to being able to apply more firm pressure due to the thicker cuffs to get a snug fit on the buckle but without causing discomfort.At first I thought the fact the cuffs weren’t on a clip (they are fixed to the bar with rivet and D clip) was a limitation. However, for us a lot of the restraint play is in the mind, and not be able to quickly unclip from the bar heightens the bdsm fantasy.The clips on the bar for hands or hoist seem well positioned. Their setting on the outer edge of the bar (rather than the middle) means that if the wearer is on their knees and sitting straight up they can have their hands cuffed to the bar and then transition to being bent forward with chest to the bed/floor. If the clips were in the middle we feel this would be more awkward in this position. The clips can still be reached and secured to if hand are between the legs.The bar seems a good length at just over 20 inchs. This seemed ok for us. A slightly wider bar could add to the exposed feel, but didn’t feel too short. As the cuffs aren’t fixed with a solid joint to the bar the feet can come within the bar and be closer than the bar width. However, this does allow the wearer to move around slightly which we found beneficial to reposition. Users wanting more restraint may find this detracts, but for us being able to move and adjust is more important.The bar isn’t rigid, with slight flex when somesubtle force is applied. However it works at keeping ankles apart just fine. It is still effective as being used as a handle when the wearer is on their back. The bar, clips, and joints all feel very sturdy and secure even when the weight of the wearers legs and lower body is lifted up. If using in this hoisted position the cushioning on the cuffs is really appreciated.The heart design is a nice touch, but if this was just black with no inlay design this would not detract for us. I imagine this takes some work and cost, but I don’t think it adds to the product. I have no problem with how it looks, I just don’t think it’s needed. If it was being used to align with other products in the range I would maybe have one heart on the bar, or on each cuff.

Premium Bondage with Comfort
This is our first spreader bar. We’ve always been interested, but we didn’t want something hard, metallic, and imposing, but we also did not want a cheap-feeling Velcro and polyester version. The faux leather from the Bondage Boutique Spreader Bar is the perfect match for us, elegant and sexy and very comfy to use.The cuffs are lined with soft velvet padding, which, combined with the faux leather, allows you to be tied up for long periods of time in comfort and allows your partner to grab the spreader bar and reposition you with ease.The cuffs use a buckle to fasten, which gives a premium feel to them and adds to the power dynamic when restraining your partner. The bar itself is rigid but has a slight flex to it, which we personally like, as it is more forgiving, which allows you to use it in more positions.Having additional clips to have your wrists tied or to attach the spreader bar to a hard point is a great touch, which we are excited to try.

The cuffs are lined with a soft velvet material and are very comfortable to wear.The bar itself is made from the same faux leather covering over a fibreglass core. I is slightly flexible but this makes no difference when it is in use. The bar has a red heart motif which, to be honest, did nothing for either of us (we’re not little red heart people) but it does not detract from the overall appeal of the bar.In use the item was really effective. The cuffs and buckles were initially quite stiff but loosened off after a few uses. There is plenty of adjustment so we could get a snug fit on me or my wife and the 20″ spread was perfect for both of us.The bar also has a pair of dog lead type clips so that a second pair of cuffs can be added to restrain the wrists too but unfortunately neither of us were flexible enough (73 & 72) to be able to try these out.

Lovely spreader bar!
Quick delivery as always and nice and discreet packaging.The spreader bar comes simply in a clear plastic bag. There are no instructions etc, but then again, theres really no need for it.The bar is stunning to look at. The red hearts pop agaist the black, along with bright red stitching and the silver rivets just complete the look. Its got a very premium look to it.The bar is slightly bendy which is great for beginners, as you don’t get that feeling of full restraint but you can also feel that’s its strong enough to not break. I like the extra clips on there. You could either attach extra cuffs, or even attach to a ceiling mount with chain if you have the facilities to do so!The cuffs are very comfortable as they have a soft lining to them and even after prolonged wear, they don’t seem to dig in. We tried this on both ankles and wrists and it worked well on both. Its not overly long either, so again great for beginners or those with limited movement. They definately hold you in place and you won’t escape from the cuffs, but as a couple that likes quite heavy bondage, we found that with the bend in the bar and the shorter length, I just had a little to much movement. My husband did find the cuffs a little fiddly and stiff but we have put that down to them being new. They should soften after some use. We also noted that a nice feature would have been for the cuffs to be removable. For us personally, we tend to go from maybe one part of the house to another, or from being bent over something with a spreader bar to then laid flat, restrained to our under bed restraints. Having cuffs that are removable mean that we don’t have to stop what we’re doing to change cuffs. Other than that though, they are a nice piece of kit. Perfect for those delving into the world of restraint aswell as those more seasoned. I dont think this is something we will use often as we prefer our longer metal bar, but it will definately come out occasionally.

I got an entire set of these heart patterned restraints because after some less pleasant experiences in the past, I wanted my new restraint set to remind me that I’m loved.The material is not real leather but it’s nice enough that it momentarily fooled my partner, who’s done leatherwork. The insides of the cuff are soft and comfortable on the skin. The hearts are slightly metallic which I think makes them prettier. For some reason, towards the ends of this bar and only on the ends of this bar, the heart cut-out are distorted slightly, which makes them less attractive. The cuffs themselves had perfect hearts. I’m a rather petite person and cuffs sometimes don’t go small enough for me. These and the matching wrist cuffs do. The clips on this bar are a different style than the ones on the rest of the set which makes it feel unmatched but are not actually a problem. I knew when ordering this product that it was slightly impractical for me. The ankle cuffs are permanently attached to the bar and I had plans, when ordering, to detach them so I could use them without the bar. I also had a moment, looking closely at the design, when I thought, I don’t see any stitching at the bar ends, or rivets. There must be something there right? There’s no way the bar is just glued into the sleeve is there?Spoiler alert: it was.So fast forward, my package arrives. I’m in the full restraint set. My partner instructs me to put pressure on my restraints. Once again, I’m a petite person, not exactly a body builder, and the moment I pulled on the bar, the single line of glue holding the cuff attachment to the bar came loose and the bar slipped out. I found this entirely perplexing because the restraint is so flimsy that rather than it preventing me from moving, I would have to restrain myself from moving in order to not break the bar. Why would a restraint be manufactured in a way that ensures it can’t be used as a restraint? A single rivet on each end of the bar would completely solve this problem.So, 5 stars for aesthetics, cuff feel and fit and 0 stars for the bar design because even as a photoshoot prop, it would take a lot of care to avoid pulling the ends off.I have no intentions of returning this product because it still suits my needs. The bar is a flexible piece of fiberglass inside a faux leather sleeve so we pulled off the other end and have been using it as an impact toy. Think riding crop or flexible ruler and that’s approximately how it performs. I took the ankle cuffs off the leather ends and can use them with another metal bar that I have. That bar isn’t set up for the extra attachment points, which were one of the reasons I was interested in this bar, and it loses some of the aesthetic but it will do.Overall, I would buy this bar for what you would be willing to pay for just the ankle cuffs, which are quite nice but don’t hope for too much from the bar. Even if it was better attached, it’s so flexible that I could probably have brought my ankles together with the bar still in place. It could never be used for serious restraint.
