Soft and strong
I was sent these as a tester by the lovely people at Lovehoney. These arrived super quickly, they were delivered the morning after I got the ‘your item has been posted’ email. Impressive! The bondage boutique intermediate faux leather wrist cuffs come in a simple plastic bag with the newly designed bondage boutique logo. Some people might think this is too plain but I honestly don’t see the need for over the top packaging here – they’re a pair of £12.99 cuffs and if you wanted to gift them you can always re-wrap them. I’m usually wary of faux leather as it can often look very cheap and shiny, but these have a soft, smooth finish and I love the matte black hardware. The only thing that gives them away is the lack of leather smell and how light they are! These definitely aren’t ‘heavyweight’ cuffs as they’re very squishy and lightweight, which could be a positive or a negative thing depending on what you’re looking for, but I think Lovehoney got it right when they labelled these as intermediate. They’re not scary in the slightest, but they look and feel stronger and more impressive than fleecy ones with velcro fastenings or flimsy fluffy handcuffs. They’re incredibly comfortable to the extent that I actually forgot they were still on me and ended up sleeping in them the night they arrived (unclipped of course, my partner isn’t that mean) and they seem to adapt to the shape of your ankles/wrists over time, which means they get progressively more pliable and feel more personalised, more yours. As these cuffs are faux leather I was expecting them to give me the dreaded clammy wrist side-effect as artificial materials are very prone to leaving people a bit sweaty, but by some miracle these don’t. The hardware feels sturdy and secure, and the stitching is all where it should be with no loose threads; the build quality’s great overall! The only less than perfect thing regarding the build is that the faux leather sometimes makes a squeaky noise when the D-ring’s being tugged on, which isn’t the sexiest thing in the world. Unfortunately, the sizing on these was a letdown. They’re too big for me. Granted, I enjoy being restrained tightly, and I realise that it’s next to impossible difficult to get a true ‘one size fits all’ but just one extra hole on the strap would’ve meant that these would be truly secure on me. As they are, my partner has to yank them across really hard to make sure they’re tight enough and secure them on the smallest setting and even then I’ve got more wiggle room than I’d like, plus they’ve managed to work their way up to the base of my thumb on occasion which is obviously less than ideal. I don’t think I have unusually bony wrists either, I know they’re on the slim side at just under 6 inches but most wrist cuffs in my experience tend to start at 6 inches, whereas these start at 7. On the positive side, the size means that these can easily double up as ankle cuffs! They fit my ankles like a glove (like a sock?), stay put and don’t dig in or chafe, making them excellent replacements for the default cuffs you get with under-the-bed restraints kits or as part of a hogtie. When I use them on my ankles they get fastened on a larger setting, which means that the leftover strap doesn’t flail around as much as it does when I’m wearing them on my wrists, although you might want to snip off any excess if it irritates you. The only annoyance I have with these – sizing aside – is the weird connector chain. Why can’t you detach it?! I have a pair of the leather bondage boutique cuffs with fluffy lining and those ones have the same connection system as these do, which I removed with a pair of pliers. I’m reluctant to do that to these cuffs as I’m in love with the matte black hardware, so until I find a matching connector clip I’ll have to settle for looping the pre-attached one around twice. All the Dominix items come with fully detachable chains so I don’t know why the bondage boutique things don’t, and I’m not sure if I see any benefit to having a permanently attached chain…but I might be making a mountain out of a molehill here. Overall, I’d recommend these cuffs with a few caveats. Measure your wrists beforehand, figure out if you’ll be happy with a permanently attached six inch connector chain or whether you’ll want to remove it/attach a different one, and remember to take them off before you fall asleep, or you might find yourself brushing your teeth with them on in the morning!

The next step in restraints
These are my second pair of handcuffs (previous being the basic cop style ones) and I have to say I was really pleased with the quality and comfort. The Bondage Boutique Intermediate Faux Leather Wrist Cuffs look great, feel good and are great value. We both enjoyed using them on our iron bed frame. My husband has large wrists but I managed to cuff him which I was really pleased about and he found quite comfortable. The only down side was as they are faux leather my wrists where quite sweaty when we took them off! We look forward to buying some other bondage boutique products.

A little too big
So I bought these instead of buying a bondage kit as you got a better quality product for about the same price (there was a deal on!). Straps are easy to use, strong and well made. Only gripe is that they are too big for my wife, who has small wrists, and as such even on the tightest setting she was able to slide her hand out, which is a shame as these could have been a lot of fun! I ended up using some rope (also off Lovehoney) and this worked a treat, and deffinetely added to the spice!

Soft, Secure, Sexy
If you’re looking for non-threatening without going down the ‘pretty’ aisle, you’ve come to the right place. These cuffs are strong, sexy, and simple to use. Like you’d expect of any purchase of this kind, they come very discreetly packaged in a plain box. There are no worries about anyone guessing what’s inside, so no suspect glances from the delivery man. Once you get inside the box, you’re presented with what’s undeniably a beautiful set of cuffs. They’ve got the strong, sturdy appearance of leather, and while they’re not ‘heavy’, there’s a certain weight to them that lets you know they mean business. The overall quality of the stitching and other small details is surprisingly high considering the low cost. In use, they’re exactly what I was looking for. They hold your wrists securely in place – the buckle fastening gives a firm hold that I can never get from velcro – but they’re soft and flexible enough to stay comfortable for as long as you need. However, as others have mentioned, if you have particularly small wrists you might just have enough wriggle room to get yourself out of these. I suspect that they’re sized towards male wrists, but mine were just able to fit securely on the tightest setting so they can work for both genders. One small concern I had is with the connecting chain. If you take a look at the photo, it’s really quite short. This isn’t a flaw in all situations – if you just want to bind wrists together for example, but it does limit your restraining options. With a bit of simple DIY you could add a different chain, but it’s worth planning in advance. Overall, I was very pleased with these bondage boutique cuffs. They’re great value for money, look wonderful, and held securely when put to the test. What more could I ask?

chose these as wanted a chunky and sturdy cuff which these are and in terms of quality they really stack up . The big down side for me is they are simply too big for me even on the tightest hole and on me they are better suited as ankle cuffs. I have used them on me as wrist cuffs but can’t go as tight as I like however on the other half they work just fine. good product for the price

The wrist cuffs have been amazing! They are strong but flexible, unlike the cheap metal handcuffs which can become uncomfortable around the wrists during sex or foreplay. The chain connecting both of these wrist cuffs are perfect for quick release when you change persitions, and my fiancée loves them because he can disconnect them anytime and reconnect them around objects to make him feel even more in control and make me feel very turned on. Although a few people have found them to big, on the smallest hole they are perfect for me, and even better they can also fit my hubby on the bigger holes so we both get a go. Good looking and well done
I have actually bought 2 of them for my girlfriend, who is quite tiny, my aim being to use one of them for the wrist and the other for her ankles. The cuffs do what their job quite well, but there is one negative aspect: if you girl/boy is tiny, they might be too big/large. My girlfriend in the middle of the play had enough of them and removed them from her wrist quite easily and that disappointed me since they should not make this to be even possible. Having said that, they really work well for her ankles. Looking at the product, I recognise it is really well done and the materials are good. The faux leather is really confy, much more than any metal cuffs. The whole product, even the chain, is black, and this is quite sexy and hot for me. the chain is really resistant and strong enough that it will be nearly impossible for your partner to break it i guess. Unless he/she is tiny, i definitely reccomend the product for your submissive partner!

Quality and versatile, but a bit loose
I ordered these along with a set of the matching ankle cuffs because I wanted something easier, quicker and safer than just using ropes. When they arrived I was very pleased with the quality, they’re made from very nice faux leather which is soft and supple yet strong and with that lovely kink look and are comfortable during use. Each cuff does up much like a belt, with a buckle and loop for tucking the excess strap under and on the opposite side of the buckle there is a good sized eyelet. On one cuff there is a short chain attached to the eyelet with a clip at the other end, this allows for the cuffs to be used joined or separate. A downside to this setup is that the small chain cannot be removed from the cuff, so if you intend to use these in conjuncture with ropes then you have to clip the chain back onto it’s own eyelet making a small loop or just let it dangle. Not a big deal but a minor annoyance, this does however have the benefit of making a very pleasing rattle of the chain as the wearer struggles which I enjoy. The only major grievance I have with these is that they don’t go very tight. At their tightest they’re a good fit for me (6″+ male) and although I was certain they’d be too loose for my SO (5″3 female ~size 10) she has been completely unable to slip them, so this hasn’t been an issue so far.

Almost perfect
Bought these to keep the Mrs at bay while I got the chance to tease and they definitely did the trick. Having tried various handcuffs as well as other wrist binding products there’s always one or two issues – whether that be comfort, strength, ease of use or fitting. These however almost hit the mark – almost. They feel great – the leather is super soft and they hold much better than the fur/soft lined cuffs as there’s just enough skin-to-leather friction. The build quality is excellent and they feel sturdy and have a great hold. The best feature is the ease of use – no messing about with complicated straps, hooks, ties or keys – just a simple key chain lock to tie the Mrs up and release her again. I hate to say anything bad about these as they are super quality for money – however from experience of a few uses, the chain length is just a little on the short side. It hinders slightly the ability to chain up the Mrs to various parts of the bed and in various positions. I do accept though however there would be those who would find fault in a long chain providing too much slack so it is a fault I would render rather trivial. Overall these are great and should be a staple in anyone’s toy box.

Well we got a set of these because they looked good and the price was pretty fair too. The material is very comfortable, nice and soft and great when worn. There is nothing complicated or fiddly about them, they do exactly what they are designed to do. The chain on them is quite short but to be fair clipping another chain or such like on would be a simple thing to do the chain is only designed to bind your wrists together so for tying to a bed (which is quite comfortable and secure) its not hard to find a chain, straps or such like you can tie ot clip into the D rings.

Needless to say these arrived in the amazing lovehoney way! Discrete and quickly! We absolutely love theses cuffs! They are so soft, unlike other metal cuffs, and do the job perfectly! Study and sit comfortably around the wrist
I bought this as a surprise for my misus because we have always been using ropes for light bondage. I am quite skilled with ropes but changing positions cannot be compared with this product’s quick release clip. The overall first impression was that these pair of cuffs felt premium for what I paid. Prior to surprising my misus, I put it on myself to see how it feels and was looking out for discomfort around the stitching and found none. It was extremely comfortable and soft! My misus agrees that it felt very easy on the wrist. The chain felt study and I know that my misus wouldn’t be able to break it whether intentionally or not so that is a good sign. The only improvement I would add to the product is to have the quick release clip on both sides of the D ring just so that a substitute connector can be used without the default one dangling around and provides the option to remove the chain from whichever cuff first. Overall, I have used it quite a few times since the purchase and it felt great and it looks great. The D rings makes it very versatile for other configurations. I love this and this is a very valued for money purchased from my perspective.

Awesome vegan restraints
I bought this set of wrist cuffs to go with the Bondage Boutique Faux Leather collar, cuffs and lead set. I like having matching sets of restraints. I particularly like these as it is important to me to have cruelty-free, non-leather products. I love the texture of the faux leather, and the black-on-black colour scheme. These restraints are secure and versatile. They are a great addition to any toybox, though they are soft and lightweight – so not suitable for those who prefer only heavy-duty cuffs. The wrist cuffs are large enough for me to use as ankle cuffs, so I decided against buying the ankle cuffs that are available in this style. The cuffs, buckles, chain, clips, and d-rings all seem quite strong and sturdy, providing a feeling of security.

Being restrained never felt so good

Anyway, I digress… The cuffs! I have rather large wrists, I’m a bodybuilder/weightlifter and my girlfriend is somewhat on the petite side so her wrists are half of not smaller than mine! We’ve dabbled into the world of bondage previously but have struggled to find a pair of cuffs that would fit both of us COMFORTABLY! Enter these faux leather cuffs! They are perfect for both of us! They’re big enough to fit my wrists without cutting off my circulation and they’re small enough to fit the GFs wrists without a chance of her slipping free! The chain I feel is just about the right length! Any longer and she or I wouldn’t feel restrained and any shorter there wouldn’t be enough slack to feel the illusion of being able to ‘break free’. There’s also enough chain to attach a secondary rope or chain to the middle to tie her up against the head board, or force her to stand by using the door (there’s an idea for next time!) the quality of the chain is good for what we use it for but I doubt I would be able to hang my 90kg frame off them, but then I haven’t bought them for this purpose. Either way, I’d happily give 5 stars for these as they are exactly what we were after and will provide us with hours worth of use and fun!

Durable
Recently purchased but not used during a vigorous session yet. They are an heavy item to hold but not to wear. Feel very Durable and comfortable. Good value cuffs
These handcuffs look great and they’re a firm faux leather. They do the job, cuffing someone to the bed, an object or even their hands behind their back is easy enough. They feel sexy to use and give you a lot of control in the bedroom. The downsides are that they are very fiddly, the tightness of the material means that fastening them can be a bit tricky, especially the clip that holds the cuffs together. My partner can also sometimes slip out of them even on the tightest hole , so not recommended for people with smaller wrists. The metal chain holding them together is incredibly strong.

I have owned these cuffs for just over a year now and they are completely fantastic. Great Value Cuffs
We decided it was time to upgrade our Cuff collection as our old velco ones were just not doing it anymore, we wanted something stronger with buckle fastenings and having a limited budget, we came across the Bondage Boutique Faux Leather Wrist Cuffs They arrived discretely as usual by free delivery, the first thing we noticed is they looked very well made and sturdy with rivets and stitching, the buckle and D rings well made also We have used them several times now and are really pleased with them , they feel great and the faux leather is very soft so they can be used for long periods without any discomfort, they can be used with or without the connecting chain and attached to other devices / fixings , so far neither me or the hubby has been able to escape them.

Comfy but surprisingly large
I’m a vegetarian who never buys leather, so these appeared ideal for my needs. I’m a 6ft 2″ man of medium build (90kgs) and I didn’t think I had particularly slender wrists (mine measure 7½ inches / 19 cms circumference), but I was surprised to find that with these cuffs, I had to use the very last hole on the buckle fastener before they’d fit me snugly. Every other setting was far too loose. I can’t imagine how one could use these on a (female?) sub with properly slender wrists – they’d just slip off! Once on, they feel comfy and sturdy – although I’d like to say to Lovehoney that your promo photo is really rather misleading! In your picture, the tongue that fits through the buckle appears to hug the contours of the cuff. In reality, it hangs free, flapping about somewhat untidily. I feel that the finish/aesthetics of the item could be improved. Particularly, I don’t like the square cut-off ends of the faux leather: I’d have preferred then to be rounded or corner-cut – but that’s a matter of personal taste. I like the black chain, clasp and D-rings. Aesthetics aside, though, once I’m in them, I feel suitably cuffed and ready to be played with!

These handcuffs are soft feeling and amazing quality. I tend to pull and struggle a bit while wearing handcuffs, sadly causing some low quality ones to snap , however these have stayed strong and they feel great on my wrists and don’t leave marks . They look more expensive than the price they are.

Despite being massive bondage fans we’ve never really progressed beyond the Velcro style cuffs. We purchased these as a pair of cuffs to use when the bed restraints weren’t in action. At first look they certainly look the part and would fit well hanging in a any makeshift dungeon. Myself and my wife have very different sized wrists and with many different holes there is no issue with fitting on these cuffs. The chain is perhaps a bit flimsy but not very hard to change. They feel great when on and have the great restrictive feeling. Also look much better than the standard Velcro cuffs. A good step up that’s for sure.

If rope or more intense restraints are a little intimidating, then these are easy to use and get the job done. The chain on these is very small, so you couldn’t use them to attach someone to a headboard for example, but they’re good for behind the back restraining. Next point is, they’re a bit on the big side. I have smallish wrists, but not really small wrists and they’re a little big on me. If I’m careful I can slip my hand out without undoing them. I’ve actually purchased a longer chain and use these as ankle restraints most often. I do like this product, but there are better handcuffs out there and better restraint options overall.

Me and my partner love these. Very easy to use with adjustable straps. The clip is easy to undo quickly even in hotter situations. Pressure is nice. Doesn’t feel cheap. We use them all the time. And they work as ankle restraints too. Slightly flimsy but it can take a lot of pressure and it makes sense for the cost and it does the job so can’t complain.
