Amazing kit for loving couples
The kit comes packaged in the standard no frills basics packaging, but don’t be fooled, this strap on is a must for anyone wanting to try pegging.I opened the box and pulled out the dildo, which I was surprised at as it has a Circumference the same as my large butt plug. A good quality, first strap on harness kit.
We were pleased to be chosen to review this BASICS Strap-On Harness Kit to test and review. Being no strangers to the world of strap-on play (we regularly use a Doc Johnson leather Ultra harness and Vac-U-Lock attachments) this was our first experience of using a dildo fixed to a harness by O rings.Our first impressions of the BASICS Strap-On Harness Kit were positive. The clear, PVC dildo looked very different compared with the flesh-coloured, realistic Vac-U-Lock dildo we already use, and the black, shiny vinyl pad of the harness looked so sexy.The HarnessThe harness’s central section (front pad) is 6.75”/17cm wide at the top and 2”/ 5cm wide at the bottom. It consists of a black, vinyl-covered, foam-filled pad of which the cushioning effect (and stitching) creates a comfortable feel during use. The shiny, black, patent material of the vinyl, and the silver popper studs, when worn with (or without) coordinated black vinyl/latex-styled clothing, give the harness an edgy, fetish appeal – which we particularly liked. The benefit of vinyl, we found, is that it is very easy to clean and requires minimal maintenance. This uni-sex, Jock-strap style harness has two 1 inch (2.5cm) wide straps that run along the underside of each side of the bum cheeks. One end is attached to the waistband and the other end to the lower side of the harness’s central section. We are fortunate enough to both share the same hip and waist sizes, so we didn’t have to make any major adjustments to the straps’ lengths when alternating our use. On separate occasions, when climbing into the waist and leg loops, we both found that tightening the straps, as we pulled the harness on, worked the best for ease and provided a tight, secure and comfortable fit around our legs and waists. The excess length of the straps was not a problem, nor a hinderance, for either of us as we either tucked them into the waistband and leg loops, or let them dangle freely. Giving a tug on the ends of the straps allowed the buckles to bite on to the nylon material and, whilst pulling taut each of the straps attached to the poppers and O ring, this resulted in the dildo’s secure attachment to the harness. During our use, we didn’t experience any discomfort from the straps digging in to our skin, nor was there any chafing – even during any rigorous action. We particularly like this harness’s uni-sex friendly design because it leaves the genitals and anus exposed. For male wearers, the two straps of the leg loops sit snugly either side of the scrotum allowing the wearer’s use of the dildo, penis, or both (in simultaneous use), according to requirement. With a few minor adjustments of the straps, the harness can be positioned high on the pubic area. Another benefit of this design’s feature is that it allows for the dildo to be more firmly, attached giving the wearer more control. This made it feel good when either of us wore the harness with the dildo attached.The 6” DildoBefore we used this dildo with the harness, we found it necessary to change the 2 inch O-ring (that is already attached to the harness) and substitute it with the 1.75 inch diameter one that is included separately. The whole process of changing the O ring and fitting the dildo to the harness, whilst a completely new experience for us, was straightforward and trouble-free.We found that the moderate firmness in its rigidity makes penetration easier and reduces the chances of it slipping out whilst under pressure during insertion. The bulbous head and the textured veins of the shaft, add a small touch of realism to an otherwise unrealistic clear PVC dildo. Whilst providing enjoyable, and satisfying stimulation during our use, we both agree that the dimensions of this straight dildo (particularly its girth) might prove too large as a novice’s first strap-on. As with all our strap on play , we applied lots of water-based lube to the dildo both before, and during, use for a more comfortable experience.The dildo’s weight, dimensions (and flared base) are well suited to the harness in that, once fitted correctly, and the straps secured properly, it sits high enough above the wearer’s pubic bone to become well-balanced, and the avoidance of any sagging.We haven’t used the suction base function yet, but we noticed that the dildo seemed to stick to smooth surfaces quite strongly. However, the dildo has proved to be a versatile addition to our toy selection and it has provided some very satisfying and enjoyable results during hand-held use.The dildo is easily cleaned using soap and warm water, followed by drying (taking care to avoid any lint), before applying a final clean from an anti-bacterial sex toy wipe before careful storage.Overall, the quality of this basic strap-on kit is very good and, as an introduction to strap-on play for those not wishing to invest in a big ticket item, it is an ideal choice as a first harness and matched dildo for vaginal penetration.

Good quality harness, okay dildo
My wife and I were lucky enough to receive this item as a tester, and were overall pretty happy!Harness: A brilliant beginner harness. The straps seems well made and sturdy, they’re fully adjustable and stay secure when in use. We liked the look of the patent front panel, and appreciated the choice of O rings which makes it compatible with most of our toybox! We are not new to harnesses but felt newbies would really benefit from the instructions on the box on how to get into the straps, which can be confusing if you don’t know what you’re doing! It was comfortable to wear and use. The only thing we’d have liked is some cleaning instructions. Dildo: We were a little less pleased with the design of the dildo. The semi-translucent colour kind of looks like the dildo was supposed to be clear but had picked up dust and gotten grubby- neither of us really liked it, but this could just be personal preference. The material too was a little bit of a let-down, it felt very slightly tacky to the touch when dry and we felt it might actually pick up dust etc. However the length and girth was well chosen- enough for a pleasant stretch and the raised details added a lot of sensation! It felt smooth and not sticky once lubed up and washes well.Overall, we liked this set and think it would be a good choice for a beginner who’s not scared of a bit of girth! And the harness is excellent quality so would make a good replacement for seasoned pros.

A little large but lots of fun
Wow, so some of the other reviews that said about the size of the toy for first timers and that it’s a little large, weren’t lieing! All that said though, for what it cost the quality is great and although the harness hasn’t been used, as a couple we’ve both experienced the dildo and despite its size, with a little preparation it slipped straight in and felt amazing.I certainly wouldn’t be put off by other reviews and for that something extra to add to the collection, I wouldn’t hesitate in getting this…Just look forward now to having a little more time and seeing how good it is with the harness.

As a girl with suspected endometriosis this was good and bad! It felt really good but the silicone was just a little bit too hard so it felt like it was bruising the inside, as i already suffer with painful intercourse this was a no. But that being said if you put a condom on top, plenty of lube and try different positions it is still amazing:)

Good product - little shocking
This product certainly meets the description but certainly a little shocking upon opening (the size of the included toy was a bit more than what I expected). Bought this toy as an entry level to try pegging and guess I mistook “beginner” for the size. HOWEVER, the value for what you get; adjustable harness, suction type dildo which is great quality, and three o-rings included. Overall a great purchase. I rated didn’t orgasm only because my partner and I have still yet to fully dive in as of this review.

Perfect for Starters
Great starter kit. Allows you to adjust the dildo to your preferred sitting position for more comfortable use. Easy to tighten and loosen straps. The excess straps can get in the way, but expected for a one size fits all. The plate that holds the dildo in place with the O rings can be a bit bulky.No slipping or moving during use.
