I received the Lovehoney BASICS Bondage Ankle Cuffs for review and testing. The cuffs came in a surprisingly small package, neat inside a small jiffy bag. The cuffs, made of a strapping, were folded neatly and came with a D-ring on each cuff, one with a clip attachment to bring the two cuffs together. This could easily be added to, with another two-ended clasp and a spreader bar, chain or similar. The only trouble I could foresee would be the current clasp getting in the way, for example when it wasn’t in use as it cannot be removed easily. For a newbie to bondage, the cuffs were an easy intro to being restrained. I don’t know if i would wear them for long periods as there is no padding on the inside of the cuffs, but the strapping was relatively soft on the ankles and any harshness was really more of a turn-on. The length of the cuffs i found ideal as, not having dainty, thin ankles, I have found it very difficult to buy for in the past. These velcro fix ones were more than lengthy enough and more than strong enough to keep me in place. A more experienced friend did say that she would probably chew through them in a few minutes; I personally wouldn’t dare to try! I found the cuffs to be well made and, to me, long-lasting. Trying to walk (in heels and out) proved to be more than I could do and amused my partner in crime as i attempted to do so! I also enjoyed using these for a dual purpose as wrist cuffs, though found moving around too much made my wrists rub too much and got painful in the end. Overall, a great intro to the world of bondage for a pair of well made and strong cuffs which will amuse, delight and restrain your partner or yourself.

Strong and durable
I didn’t tell my husband these ankle cuffs where coming as we had never used ankle cuffs before as I thought they would be fun to try and a good surprise for him. They came in a small little bag and when I opened the packet they arrived in. I found the cuffs neatly placed in a small little bag my husband said what have you got there? When I replied ankle cuffs he immediately took them off me and before I knew it I had the cuffs securely in place around my ankles. They felt snug around my ankles and I couldn’t wait to try them out in the bedroom. The cuffs where thinner than I expected and made out of strong fabric with an easy to use Velcro fastening. The clips are very durable and are perfect for attaching to other bondage items. I liked the simplicity of the cuffs. I loved trying these out in the bed room and enjoyed the feeling of my legs been securely held together. I’d certainly look at buying more of the basic bondage range to add to our small bondage collection and would recommend them to bondage beginners like me.

Perfect for beginners - the possibilities are almost limitless
Lovehoney sent me this item in exchange for a review. My OH and I were excited to try out some bondage items. As always, the item arrived promptly and I started to unwrap my present! The packaging isn’t the most appealing, but that is not such a big issue to us. It is just wrapped in plastic with a little LH label on it. The ankle cuffs come pre assembled, the straps themselves are very nicely made, and feel quite strong. There is no fear that they’ll accidentally tear during a particularly exciting position! They are adjustable for differing ankle widths so, don’t worry as one size will fit most with the little Velcro strap. This is good because you are able to tighten them as much as you want without any discomfort, and they can be quickly opened if they need to be. It would have been nice to have seen maybe a little instructional card/book with it, maybe suggesting positions to use it in. But its really not a big deal if you know what you want out of the product. We didn’t have many problems with this product! it does exactly what it promises! It will help you get into positions and help with your stamina to stay in those positions for longer. It is quick to set up and use with minimum hassle. Have fun experimenting with it! The possibilities are almost limitless.

Not just ankle cuffs!
I got these with a pair of soft wrist cuffs a while ago as I haven’t tried ankle cuffs before, and was impressed to say the least. They arrived in a clear bag, fastened together neatly, which showed just how easy they are to store. They were just the right width and the length is generous, so if you have larger or smaller ankles, there’s plenty of length to play with. The first thought I had was that they could also be used as wrist cuffs in a pinch, and I was right, they can also be attached to anything else if you’re only restraining one side. The rings on them are very sturdy, and they seem to be able to take a lot of strain and pulling, which is something I always look for in restraints. My only problem with these is the fact that there is only one fastener on them, which could get in the way if you were to attach these to a chain, or a bar. However, it’s not a big issue. All in all, they seem pretty good, and I can’t wait to get more use out of them, which I’m sure I will do!

Ankle cuffs
i am very happy with this product we brought these along with the wrist cuffs, I was a little unsure how strong they would be but I stand corrected. They are so easy to use just Velcro on but they work very well, very strong. I would definitely recommend these as they are not too harsh on your skin either so there is no discomfort, you can put them as tight as you like. A fantastic product.

These are brilliant as you can tie them as tight as you like, and they don’t hurt, they are very easy to use and to put on and take off because of the velcrow and the clip in the middle if you wanted to separate the legs quickly then the clip in the middle is handy.

Best purchase I've ever made
I wanted to dip my toe into bondage and restraint, so I thought I’d start with the less expensive stuff and work my way up, and while I have bought other ankle cuffs since, these are my go-to ones. They’re amazing! The material is much less rough than I thought when I first saw them on the site, and the velcro is fully adjustable so it accommodates people with larger or smaller ankle size than average. Also the clasp and the velcro are incredibly sturdy and durable, no matter how much strain you put on them, but are still comfortable for long periods of use

Very good
We already have the wrist ones and there great but we wanted something to stretch her across the bed so I bought two of there on 3 for 10 and it was great really they held well and even thought she is short she could just reach, which is the only let down because at times and she normally needed to help get in position and this kills the mood if she doesn’t fit very well so a longer strap for between the ankle strap and her ankle would be great or something that would can be adjusted easily for different people.

Good for beginners
I bought these in the 3 for 15. I have wrist cuffs already and was curious to using ankle ones at the same time. The cuffs were packaged a little differently than how i expected. Made them look really small. However they fit perfectly and have a good strength to them. Id recomend these to anyone starting out in bondage but i prefer my more sturdy and comfy wrist cuffs.

Simple and safe

Perfect for beginners
These cuffs are super easy to put on and perfect for beginners. They don’t leave any marks and are comfortable to wear whilst being secure. They are good when paired with the ankle cuffs as you can unlink these and link them to the ankle cuffs for a different type of position. The box it came in was discreet however the packaging inside was in a see through bag that said exactly what it was called so open discreetly as needed.

Really strong. Velcro doesn’t let go and can be set to many sizes. The only thing I have found is in certain positions it can dig in to the skin leaving a mark for maybe an hour and some redness. But for me that’s a pro as it adds pain to pleasure which is perfect for us. would definitely recommend as a strong durable and multifaceted product. As well as the price is amazing.

Not breaking free
When I opened the package I thought they were going to be bulky I should of know that being a basic ankle cuff . They are are good size easy to get on and off if needed , two Velcro fastens with a metal hinge in the middle fits really well around my ankles and my partners good fun

Perfect paired with the matching hand restraints. Found you can link them together and adds a fun tied up element without having to mess with rope and to add a quick and fun twist to any session! Comfortable to wear. Only issue is the rings can move around and get stuck and twisted.Dont mind this considering the price as it’s an easy fix!

The ankle cuffs are as described and fit well as they are adjustable using Velcro. They are extremely sturdy and comfortable, much better than I expected considering the price. The little metal clasp that holds them together is very sturdy and can be undone to release the legs. Overall great product.

Legs wide shut
We use bondage a lot but these were the first ankle cuffs we have bought. The cuffs use Velcro like you would expect so they adjust well and would fit most, if not all. They are soft on the inside so don’t hurt when in use and the clip in the middle allows us to quickly undo or redo them as we see fit, really good for keeping the mood and not faffing about while in the heat of the moment. They feel really strong when on and impossible to get out from, especially if you tie their hands. Great quality and they feel like they will hold up very well, even with vigorous use.

Don't try and walk
So I brought these with the matching wrist cuffs. I wasn’t expecting a lot as they’re the cheapest range. However I was so wrong. These are very secure and hard to escape from if you’re moving walking or tugging which really serves it’s purpose. They’re made from a Velcro and material with metal clasp to connect them. All of which was not too rough on the skin. We had bundled of fun because they’re impractical to fully walk in. You can kind of waddle which made my partner burst into laughter when he made my Dyspraxic butt stand up and I toppled over like skittles. These were very fun to use and great combined with the wrist ones. I wouldn’t say they are as practical if your partner has bigger ankles as my partner said he hated the tightness and feel. However he enjoyed them when they were on me and had complete control. He ended up pushing me over and laughing afterwards. A particular thing I do like is if needed there is quick escape due to the Velcro making them fantastic for experimenters and new people as well as advanced if you like that safety feel! Once again love honey you never fail to impress.

Nice but rough
These ankle make for a good addition to play time. They’re surprisingly strong and can actually withstand more than I thought. I would say that they could be a bit more comfortable and a bit closer together as it felt like there was too much movement and it feels a bit rough for my liking.

These ankle cuffs are very strong and surprisingly good for the cheap price. They withstood a lot of movement and resistance and they did not budge! Really impressive considering the cheap price. Loved them
I brought this along with the wrist ones. I found having my ankles bound too restricting, and instead used two to tie me up instead. However, they weren’t cutting or painful and they are able to hold you well, we have used them again during foreplay and I do like them as I’ve used others before that just end up hurting or marking me.. Nice keeper set
I bought these with the wrist restraints for an evening of fun. They managed to fit me even though I have larger ankles than average. They are strong enough to withstand the wriggling and waddling with these on as not much give between the gap of ankle restraints. I’m sure that was one reason for using them. Restraining your wrists and leg together. Although I did enjoy using these and feel they work well I use the wrist ones more. But that’s just personal preference. Would recommend using for a bit of fun and spice.

No Turning Back
Female perspective : Once trying these, there’s no turning back! These are comfortable, perfect for bondage and allow for all the straining you could imagine, but you aren’t going anywhere without your partners permission! We use these to bind my hands and feet together, or to bind them to our cowgirl machine so even when the intensity seems all too much, I’m bound by my partners desires! These spread enough to allow for whatever your please to slip in, but keep your legs close enough that everything stays nice and tight! Surprisingly strong
We purchased it with an expectation that it would only last a session or two, which is understandable given that it’s a basics product. We’ve found it to be surprisingly strong though. Definitely worth the cost if you’re looking to experiment and don’t want to spend the cash on a more expensive pair.

Sturdy
They aren’t the most attractive design but for what they are, they’re sleek enough and extremely strong. I tend to test the endurance of any bondage I’m in, and not once have I managed to break these in any significant fashion. That being said, occasionally the clip can be slipped off the d ring if you pull the wrong way, and I did somehow manage to (after a year mind you) slip the nylon off one of the d rings part way, and the only way to fix it was to pull the d ring partially apart and slip it back on. Wasn’t as sturdy after that but still useful. I’ve only managed to pull the velcro from struggling once, still have no idea how I managed that. Either way, unless you’re the hulk or very persistently and intently testing them, they will last a long time. And if you are, well, they will probably last longer than other designs, they have for me. Bonus: no metal bits are touching your skin inside the cuff, if you’re allergic to metal like me, you’re probably fairly safe!
