Soft Slaps and Harder Smacks, Perfect Riding Crop!
This crop is lovely, first of all, it’s well made. It has a lovely smooth handle and the length of the crop is strong. The slapper on the end of it is out of this world! It is the perfect size and made of soft leather, the size is just about right to deliver little stings (or much harder slaps) where ever you want to aim them or recieve them! Back, front, anywhere on the body, (in my case back and front and it was lovely)! the slapper is soft yet hard enough to deliver blows well and the length of the crop is strong enough to withstand harder blows too, it’s easy to use and (from my point of view) heaven to receive! Leaves a lovely tingle afterwards, it’s not a cruel crop but it could be in the right hands, but if you like it gentle, this can give teasing slaps too, pausing between slaps it feels lovely pressed against or slid along the places that matter most. I love this crop and if – like me – you like leather, you will fall in love with the spanker on the end of it. For those who prefer to be the dominant, this crop is lovely to handle and for those who like to receive, take it from me (I’m still smarting and it feels lovely), this crop is worth getting!

As Bondage Boutique attests, kinkiness is swiftly becoming a fully paid-up member of the mainstream pleasure club, yet there is no denying the inherent naughtiness of it all. If you’re searching for that extra thrill, then welcome to the Boutique. For those who object to excessive packing on their toys, you shan’t have any problem here. Remove its cling film-like sleeve, and you’re good to go. For the aesthetically-minded people among us, however (me being pretty near the front of this queue), there’s something missing. Indeed, you can sit back smugly, green credentials fully intact (it is very nice not having to take an entire bag of cardboard to recycling after one purchase), but you miss out on that elusive thrill of unearthing some wonder, hidden beneath layers of glossy packaging. It makes me feel like Christmas. On the plus side, as with all Bondage Boutique products, the riding crop does come with it’s own Boutique loyalty card to keep – and you’re two little stickers closer to a free spanking paddle. At first glance, the crop is pleasant enough to look at, although you don’t get quite the degree of sophisticated quality that comes with more expensive, high-end products. The handle is nicely made; wooden with a polished black shine. Thankfully there’s no plastic grip here, but the knotted shape ensures a solid grasp (and it looks rather nice too). I’d question the importance of the leather strap – perhaps it will soften with use, but the material feels cheap and unwieldy, more for appearances than anything else. If you’re looking for more control, wearing it around the wrist considerably limits manoeuvrability, and will soften the crack of the whip. Personal choice, I suppose, as I found this uncomfortable and unnatural. I much prefer to ignore the wrist loop, and use common sense. The shaft is slim and flexible; pliable, but with enough snap to allow you to use this crop for a little more than gentle teasing. It’s not as pretty as the polished wooden handle, but chances are, this won’t be important. Other than the careful once-over when it was unwrapped, it hasn’t come to my attention, and certainly hasn’t detracted from its overall appraisal. The classic leather loop end is a comfortable thickness, and firmly stitched into place. The red model that I received is bolder than I expected, almost brash, but a dash of vibrant colour really sets off the black shine of the grip. Again, attributed to personal tastes, this wouldn’t have been a product I would have gone for – although it is difficult to find similar products within the market that don’t include leather, there are some out there. The ‘Vinyl Riding Crop’ that LoveHoney stock may be a suitable replacement for anyone with similar ethical concerns, or the ‘Fresh Vegan-Friendly’ selection of bondage gear may be up your street. The characteristic loop gives you a very pleasing slapping sound on skin, but if you’re a beginner (or someone who’d prefer only a taste of what this puppy can do), it’s wide enough to be gentle. If you want to go all out, and administer some proper discipline, the crop is ideal. Finding a perfectly orgasmic balance between pain and (some rather naughty) pleasure, it can be used all over the body to fantastic effect. You’ll certainly get your message across with Bondage Boutique (and the square whip marks are a pretty little reminder)! Pleasantly surprised, the Slim Riding Crop Whip surpassed my initial expectations, proving it to be a true triumph of substance over form.

Perfect riding crop for teasing and whipping
I had bought one of these crops last year, having used it for a year now, I am still in love with it. I live in a BDSM lifestyle and all the play partners I have used this on up until now have loved it as well, its a good priced item and leaves a nice sting if you give a good whip. The only problem I see with this product is the wrist strap, its awkward position and shortness in length means it can be uncomfortable on the wrist. Do not let that put you off buying this product though, a wrist strap for something like this is not really needed and can be easily ignored.

Great riding crop

Quality never felt so good
This was my first bondage purchase, but it doesn’t strike me at all as hardcore bondage at all. This is a delightful product that doesn’t look as though it would be out of place in a riding stables. I am no rider (of horses!) myself, but I do love other outdoor country pursuits! This crop exudes a quality feel from the moment you grip the wooden handle. A lovely introduction
My OH and I have been toying with the idea of a whip or crop for a while, but this is actually our first. Up ’til now, it’s been either a firm hand or a leather belt, occasionally a flat-backed paddle hairbrush. So, as you can see, I’m not exactly the most seasoned of bondage users, and this review is written from the perspective of someone new to crops. -PACKAGING- The crop arrived in a long cardboard box from Lovehoney, but aside from that the only packaging was a clear plastic bag. I’m a huge fan of minimal packaging, so this instantly made a good first impression! -AESTHETICS- The item itself is gorgeous. At one end you have a black wooden handle with a leather wrist-strap just above it. The wood is shaped perfectly to fit into your hand; the handle is neither too thick nor too thin, and the little carved bobble provides lovely little niches for your fingers to sit in when you hold it. All in all, you can have a firm grip on this item. I think other reviews have said that the leather strap is slightly superfluous (my OH said the same thing, actually), but I really liked it. It meant I could go hell-for-leather with the crop without worrying about it flying out of my hand and destroying any of the Ming vases I bought with my student loan. It just added a little security for me, but then I’m notoriously clumsy and need these kinds of safeguards. Either way, if you don’t like it, a quick scissor-job will sort it out and it’s just attached by two holes punched in the ends of the straps. There’s no reinforcement there. The stick is flexible black plastic, nothing too swanky (but it doesn’t really need to be). The plastic is very flexible, and when swung through the air it makes a lovely ‘swoosh’ing noise. The leather crop is stitched very well, and the leather feels divine. I got the black crop, and I think it’s beautiful. The leather is soft but it is very good quality. -THE STING- Now onto the most important bit! When my OH and I tried this out, we started off gently and worked our way up. We both have high pain thresholds, and found that we could give each other a pretty hefty whack with this item and not worry about causing permanent damage. The crop makes an absolutely lovely sound as it strikes bare skin, and either gives the recipient a thrilling tingle or a sharp sting (depending on how much force is used). It leaves very satisfying pink marks on the skin, and the smooth leather feels wonderful if you softly run it over the skin to cool after a particularly harsh punishment. -OVERALL- Because this product is so versatile, I would recommend it to beginners and hardened kinksters alike. It’s been a wonderful introduction for my OH and I, but I can imagine that, if wielded violently enough, would be a force to be reckoned with on the pain-scale. This is a really lovely crop, and I think everyone should own one.

Lovely firm product

Good quality, severity depends on person using it
The crop is really good quality, and well made. When holding it, it feels weighty and substantial, but still maintains the maneuverability of a thin crop. The pain factor with this crop depends entirely on the user: It can be stroked softly over the skin and tapped lightly to create soft and sensual sensations. Flying Off The Handle
The Slim Riding Crop could be a good crop for those starting out with impact play. The middle is flexible and easy to use. It provides a sting without being too intense for beginners. The leather is super soft on both the tip and wrist loop. The length is long, but not so much so that it’s hard to use. It may be hard to store if you don’t have a lot of space. The only real issue is that the tip isn’t attached properly to the middle. It flies off after only a few hits. This can be fixed two ways. The first it to check it every few hits and push it down. This is a bit annoying, so your second option is to grab some glue and attach it down. If you don’t mind doing some tweaking, this is a good beginner’s crop. It’s not for those that prefer a lot of impact.

This was one of those impulse buys you occaisionally have to do, as I felt the need for a treat. I have used canes/crops etc in the past but what appealed was the overall length and thinness of the shaft. As I suspected, this crop is nice and springy, and surprisingly well balanced in the palm; it makes a lovely ‘swish’ and the leather tip adds a wonderful smack; itwas also very good for nipple & clit torture! The only downside was the rather pathetic wrist loop. A nice addition to the collection

I was desperate to purchase this product and felt, on opening that the slim line, sleek design really added to the look of the crop. My Bondage Boutique Crop whips up a storm
What’s to review about a riding crop you may ask? Well actually . . . despite it not having many moving or detailed parts to describe . . . this has become one of my most favourite, and most used, toys over the past few weeks. So much so, that I thought I just had to share my excitement and enthusiasm with you here. I have owned one cane before (from a-n-other toy supplier) but it had snapped after just a few sessions, and quite mild usage really. So I was absolutely delighted, and so flattered when I opened it up and unravelled all the white tissue wrapping and packing, to discover the long black crop, in it’s sealed clear plastic bag, staring up at me from inside the box. I just couldn’t wait to get it home and try it out. And, of course, my lovely and ever-willing Hubby, was only too pleased to submit! The crop is 27 inches long from tip to tip, including it’s strong wooden handle (5½ inches long and 3/4 of-an-inch in diameter) with a lovely-to-feel 4½ inch long and 1½ inch wide leather slapper at the “business end”. That means 17 inches of a delightfully flexible, but surprisingly strong, shaft. The crop is just wonderful to hold as the grooved handle seems to fit just naturally (lol!!!) in the palm of my hand, giving me immediate tingles of command and being in control. There is a thin leather strap attached to the handle, where it joins the shaft, which you can slide over your wrist if you wish, although I haven’t felt the need for that because, as I say, the handle just feels as though it “belongs” in my hand. Whip them into a frenzy
This is my first toy of this kind, and I bought it after considering a few options, as I thought it would add nicely to my Domme get-up. Oh, and I was interested in being on both the giving and the receiving end! The whip comes wrapped in clear plastic with a Bondage Boutique label- nothing amazing to speak of, but then I wasn’t planning on keeping this part anyway. My first impression of the whip was just- wow! It looks so fabulously kinky, has a shiny black wooden handle which is nice and sturdy, but also has a perfect amount a bend to deliver a satisfying whack! But my favourite part has to be the leather. Both the tip and the wrist strap are soft, well cut and smell amazing. As other reviewers have said, this is the high point of this product and really adds to the luxury of it- it doesn’t feel cheap and tacky at all. I’ve yet to use this whip on my man (but it has featured in photo’s and provoked the intended reaction!), but have tested it out on myself. I was surprised at how easy it is to control the force with which you hit, anything from a light tickle to a pretty intense (yet lovely) sting. And always with that satisfying thwack! I also love how the tip is quite narrow so it’s very easy to direct the hits to a very small target. This is a massive turn on for me and should come in handy in future. Simple but great
The crop, I would say, is a bondage gear essential and is one of the first bits of iconic gear that comes to mind. This one fills the iconic roll rather well! The looming black wood and leather enticed me as soon as I opened the package, it is a wonderful piece of craftsmanship, especially for the price! I got this crop as part of the three for £30 deal, because I love things with wooden handles and I have a hoarding problem (admitting it is the first step to…having admitted it?). I have another sturdier crop, but I was curious about the long flexible stem. It arrived in an extravagantly large box. Seriously, I don’t know why it needed so much room, because the crop itself was only wrapped in a plastic wrapper as per Bondage Boutique standard. A note on this: mine actually arrived with a fair amount of scuffs on the shine on the wood already, I suspect from the tag that is attached to the hand loop and free to scratch about the handle. I was keen to try it on pet, so we decided to keep it anyway, but the packaging could have protected it better. Overall, it looks very pretty for a leather goodie on a budget; I’m particularly fond of the stitching on the fall, while the hand loop could be slightly more refined. Let me make one thing perfectly clear now: at 27″ in total, this crop is *long*. My other crop is 25″, but it’s a lot less flexible, the added length and swing on this does make it slightly harder to manage – if you’re used to shorter slappers, practice! – and you’ll need room to swing it properly. Given the length and flexibility, I expected this to have a substantial sting. It doesn’t, at least comparatively. The fall is fairly large and solid, so the hit is more of a slap than a sting, and is utterly pointless for punishment because my pet enjoyed this way too much and could take a fair amount. It’s also great to just drag around to take the sting away – I’m told the leather feels lovely. The only qualm might be that it’s not the easiest tool to do precision work with (in aim and force), so stick to ‘safe’ spots for hits with any amount of force behind them. We tried this as a cane briefly, and while the stem is long enough for it to work, it’s just not that great. Invest a few extra pounds in an actual cane if you want to give your pet a proper caning. Overall, this is probably not the perfect introduction to crops due to length and flexibility, but it won’t give you extravagantly painful impacts, and it looks lovely, so if you are prepared to spend some time practicing with it go for it, it’s well worth it.

Good Value crop
Made with real leather the crop has a great feel to it on the action end. The midpoint and the handle are made of plastic and makes it comfortable to handle and use. The strap is possibly a little unnecessary and awkward but if you put your hand down the loop it makes it much more comfortable to use with the strap. The length of the crop is good for creating some good speed with little effort. While it is a “slim” crop I found it to be fairly wide but it is my first one! I am a little disappointed with the build quality that I’ve come to expect from LoveHoney. While ok I think it could be better. The strap seemed to have some glue on the cane part and overall the strap seemed a little rushed in production. The other end, however, is well made and I have no complaints with that. Bought this to try a crop for the first time with my bf and it arrived quick as always and it good quality.Feels like its slightly longer in person than it looks but not too long It is very flexible but maybe a bit too flexible and would’ve preferred it a bit more stiff, sometimes felt a bit difficult to control because of how much it could bend.Gives a great feel when whacked, not too hard or too soft.Great for teasing but a bit more difficult to use when up close e. g trying to spaniel during doggy due to the longer length Feels like it might break if I use to vigorously
