First of all, the star ratings I’ve given for this product are not exactly relevant, as this won’t give you an orgasm and doesn’t vibrate! But I have given a high star rating overall as the product is good. Another disclaimer is every body is different so I’m unsure if using a TENS machine will work for everyone. It comes in a compact plastic box with decent instructions. The size is good, easy to keep in a drawer. I feel like the instructions could be better, if it had pictures it would be easier to scan through and not have to spend too much time reading. Once I had read everything it was very easy to set up. All you need to do is charge the machine and stick the gels on then you are good to go. The buttons are simple to use and have a beep. The heat setting was the nicest thing about the machine for me, it gets quite warm but not as hot as a hot water bottle. I have a bit of tennis elbow pain sometimes and I tested it on that to start, the warmth was good on it but I don’t feel like the tens did anything. I also tried it on my lower back, this was very tricky to do by myself! I couldn’t remember which buttons to press so I recommend getting some help if you use it on your back. You will be able to feel the machine when it’s switched on, it’s not painful. The feeling is a bit tickly, like when you get pins and needles, low grade – so don’t be afraid of it! The sticky pads feel very sticky but they don’t seem to stick to skin very well! This is super frustrating as it’s quite expensive so you’d expect to get a lot of use out of it before things start failing. If you lay down and use gravity then you don’t need to worry about them coming unstuck, but moving around makes them peel a little. Price wise, it is quite high compared to some high street brands. In conclusion, the product is decent, a solid 4 out of 5 stars, it works quite well and is user friendly. TENS is unusual and the feeling it gives you is mainly just a distraction from the period pain. Overall TENS did help me a little, along with painkillers on my worst day and a bit of self care, taking it easy was useful. If you have tried every kind of pain relief then this is worth trying as it does help.
