This is my first experience of a glass dildo, I had been after one for ages and got bought this one for Christmas. And I havent been disappointed, one bit. Its really hard, so you really feel the penetration and the benefits of putting it in the fridge to cool it down or in hot water to warm it up are great. Ive tried it cold and the sensation is amazing. Im yet to try it hot…but im sure i wont be disappointed! The shaft of it is ribbed, moulded into the glass and you really feel the ridges. So I decided to buy yet another glass toy because I love the material. This was the first Icicles product I purchased and the box it came in was lovely. It’s a shame I had to throw it away so people wouldn’t find it. I was also a little disappointed that it didn’t come with its own storage bag like most glass toys which I thought was a given. Every one I’ve bought so far has except from the ones in the Icicles line. Not to worry, though. I just put it in one of the Lovehoney satin bags. The toy is beautiful and it definitely gives off a glamorous vibe. It has a flat base so it can stand by itself which comes in handy. The shaft is slightly curved so it can match the natural shape of your body but it isn’t off balanced at all when standing up. There is a little “slit” on the head to imitate a real penis which is fine but you have to take care when cleaning because dirt can get stuck in it. I recommend using a little brush for this task. Other than that, cleaning is easy. One of the best things about glass is that you can heat/cool it for temperature play (I prefer the heat myself). I’ll put it in front of my blow heater for a few minutes until it’s ready to go and lube it up. Inserting the warm bulbous head feels amazing (it’s almost one of those “time slows down” type of moments). Even when fully inserted, that head is doing all the work hitting your sweet spots. So nice… The head is a bit thicker than the textured shaft so when I’m using it I can mainly just feel the big head thrusting in and out. Don’t get me wrong, I can still feel the swirly shaft which is a nice sensation but that head is just stealing the show. But hey, no complaints here. Overall, I’m very happy and with that lovely packaging it would make a wonderful gift for your partner. It’s a reasonable price too which is even better.

After trying out the Lovehhoney sensual glass anal dildo, which I reviewed very positively some time ago as a great intro item to glass backdoor play, I wanted to try upgrading a little in size but not to go over the top. I tried one or two other products but ended up not keeping them because they didn’t really do anything that the first one didn’t do, Anyway, I settled on the very elegant and beautifully coloured and decorated Icicles number 5 Sapphire Spiral. When it arrived, I was a little surprised that it seemed just a tad bigger than I had expected given that some items that I bought had been smaller. Anyway, once I tried this lovely object, I was stunned by the incredibly gorgeous sensations that it gave. It’s probably just a bit longer than I need but the feel and the look of this item is gorgeous and it has the girth to satisfy much more than the other items I had tried. I would measure the largest diameter of the bulb at about 4.75 inches (close to 12cm) rather than the 4 quoted. The spiral shaft itself is somethere around 3.75-4″ (9.5-10cm) and the narrowest paer near the base is about 3.5″ (9cm). The tip shape is just a little more blunt than some but for me I find the caress and entry of this to be exquisite, giving a deeper and wider thrill than the introductory products, I would say, though not at the advanced stage. It really did crank up the sensual pleaseure level; so I would say that it is now the only toy that I use, though I am on here this evening to look for something of a slightly different shape and size, just for a change! 🙂 It is so easy to clean with soapy water and the spiral is actually quite smooth and it fades into the shaft without any sharp angles, so it keeps clean and feels quite wonderful. It has enough weight to be great for temperature play and to feel really substantial and had a pleasing curvature, though to be honest once it’s in, who cares? Lovely product. This was my first “glass” toy and I was super impressed. I really enjoy temperature play and wanted something to experiment with taking that a bit further, and this was perfect! Visually, the dildo is really beautiful! It feels classy and elegant and I think could easily pass as a piece of art on my shelf. The blue around the spirals works really well and it is just pleasant to look at! It feels amazing due to the size, shape and design! The head is large which feels good both inside as well as when inserted. The curved design really helps to hit your g spot. I have also paired this with a butt plug and it really does hit exactly the right spot! The spirals are a great texture and are big enough that you can feel them, although this is definitely more sensitive towards the beginning of play. There is a slightly flared base and it says it can also be used for anal play. Personally, I would have preferred a bigger flared base and am not sure I would feel 100% confident using this for anal play, as to me the base doesn’t seem that much larger than the head. Nevertheless, other people have reviewed that they have used for anal play and it has been absolutely fine so I am probably being too cautious! My favourite way to use this is by running it under cold water. It feels incredible and really heightens sensations, and you will feel it warming up whilst inside you. I have also used it warm, and it warms up quickly under a hot tap! Some of the reviews recommend freezing beforehand but I would be apprehensive about this, and not sure how safe it would be when it touches something hot.. ! Overall, I would really recommend this product. I think glass dildos are overlooked when it comes to purchasing sex toys, but it offers something completely different to anything else in my collection! As it is solid/rigid, it can feel a lot more intense than something such as silicone (which personally I love!). Therefore, this would be great for anyone looking to expand their dildo collection and also for those wanting to experiment with temperature play.
