Good vibrations!
So I was lucky enough to be able to test this product for Lovehoney and am always pleased to do so.This particular prostate toy I feel is perfect for beginners – it’s a great experience with its smooth silicone feel, and nice vibrations. There are many different styles of vibrations to suit your preference, but the vibrations add a nice feeling rather than particularly vibrating the P spot itself. I enjoyed the sensations nevertheless! The toy is flexible due to the silicone and has a great girth which helps the feeling of feeling full. It doesn’t particular hit the p spot for me due to its design (It’s worth noting that everyone’s p spot is located slightly differently so one toy might work for one person and not the other) and doesn’t sit in the anus as it’s the same girth all the way along so slips out if you’re not holding it or have good control of your bum hole! This isn’t necessarily a bad thing though, I still enjoyed using it for penetration.I’ve found the ones that sit nicely in the anus are ones that have a narrower part towards the handle end. Still, with the vibrations going it provided great sensations! The vibrator sits nicely in the toy but make sure to position the vibrator in a way you can press the button to change the vibrations. I couldn’t find the button initially but when I turned the button around to it facing up (if I’m lying on my back) it was easy to use. This is a toy that will probably divide people.I’ve used a few prostate massagers and found this one to be really effective. More effective than Aneros believe it or not! I was literally dripping cum after seconds. That’s not normal for me. However, I think that’s partially because of the quite aggressive angle of the tip, which REALLY stimulates the prostate but as a consequence can become uncomfortable after a while.The girth of the toy was easily manageable and the smooth material meant insertion was a breeze. Cleanup was similarly straightforward and I haven’t found the toy to attract fluff.Vibrations are courtesy of a rechargeable bullet vibrator (which can be used separately…;)), that thankfully has an easy to access, non-slip, control button and a range of settings. The noise on the higher settings might disturb some houseguests but the less powerful buzzing could be easily masked by some music.I only really had two reservations. Firstly, the protruding bullet vibe prevents you from sitting or rocking on the massager (which limits positions with a partner). Secondly, there isn’t really any thinner part of the product which allows you to grip it, and thus stop is falling out. I found that combination meant that while it was extremely pleasurable, I’d have to manually adjust it or hold it in place quite a bit. Not a showstopper, this is still a VERY pleasurable toy. But worth noting ahead of time, particularly for play with partners.

A standout performer in a crowded world
Normally I would give you a full in depth review of this product, but actually – I thought it may be helpful to compare and contrast, since there are a lot of Prostate toys out there, and I happen to have a Curve Cruiser – which is very similarly priced). So – here we go – Lovehoney’s Ripple Rider (RR) vs Curve Cruiser 5 (CC) – The BIG show down.Lets start with the obvious difference. Girth and Length. From a girth perspective – the RR wins hands down – its definitely a bit chunkier, and because its straighter – it makes for a more pleasurable insertion. The CC on the other hand is definitely longer, and more angled. This makes it a little bit more targeted for vibration on the prostate. This one was a draw. They both have their own advantages. Duration wise – and I found it hard to put a title on this round without being rude…. The RR is more impactful in what it does, so that gave a faster time to orgasm. However – I would say that its harder to keep the RR inside for longer, without it slipping out. I have some silicone/water lube which i used for both, but the RR slips out far too much. Again – pros and cons for both. Another draw. Next up – quality. The RR is top quality – it feels chunky and feels like its going to last a lot longer. The button is exposed, and so easy to turn on and off. The CC – and this might be for an older version – but the silicone has now deteriorated where the button is, and is now well and truly broken (I can only say that I have also used it quite a lot though!!) RR wins on this round. Vibrations. I always found the CC really annoying from the point of view that the highest vibration was first, and then it went down in strength, as you clicked through the functions. With this RR – it goes up in strength, so it makes way more sense. RR wins again.Finally – the charger cables are the same, so that’s good, and the battery lasts a very decent length of time. And one final comment – as i always mention the box in my reviews. The box is a standard lovehoney white box, and individually wrapped vibrator bullet, prostate massager and then the cable in a little bag too. Oh and instructions!Great product, and i think I can finally lay my Curve Cruiser to rest, and start using this Ripple Rider instead.

20 minutes was all it took. When I took it out of the box I was like “where’s that gonna go?”, as it is thicker than my other 3. But it worked out well and ended with a cascade of nut the likes of which I haven’t spewed forth since…..6 days ago. I thought the design looked dangerous, but now I know the genius of it. Adaptable Prostate Massager With Satisfying Size
The Lovehoney Ripple Rider is a mid-size prostate massager featuring a slightly wavy shape along its shaft and a firm, pointed tip to direct stimulation toward the prostate. Vibration is driven by a decently powerful removable bullet vibrator with 3 speeds and 7 patterns. The vibration strength of the bullet vibrator itself is quite good compared to other small vibrators I own; I recently reviewed the ROMP riot bullet vibrator and would say the two are in the same league, but I found the riot to pack a bit more punch overall. However, I do prefer the pattern selection on this vibrator to the riot, as they tend to contain more pulsed stimulation rather than ramped speed changes.With the bullet inserted into the toy (and the toy inserted into me), I found the vibrations surprisingly well spread out despite the bullet sitting partially externally. I also own a Lovehoney Deep P Diver prostate massager, and found those vibrations to be focused more internally right on my prostate. The different feeling could be due to the size and shape difference of the toys — the Deep P Diver is much smaller and curved, while the Ripple Rider is a longer, straighter shape, possibly allowing for a more resonant behaviour. Unfortunately, I’ve found the tradeoff to be that the vibrations feel weaker overall compared to the Deep P Diver. That is likely the result of the bullet vibrator being partially external, while the Diver allows full insertion of the vibrating part right up to the prostate. I didn’t find either toy to provide much stimulation externally on my perennial area; I did find the Ripple Rider provided a more pleasant buzzing sensation out toward my external areas, though.From a practical standpoint, weaker vibrations aside, I found the Ripple Rider to greatly enhance my solo play. The provided stimulation made it much easier for me to focus on orgasms. The size alone was nice, as it contributed to a sense of “fullness.” Those that enjoy anal penetration itself will likely enjoy the stimulation provided by the ripple shape. While I don’t particularly enjoy stimulation from penetration, I found the ripples help to hold the toy in; with multiple ripples, depth is almost adjustable to each ripple notch. The pointed tip is capable of providing a ton of stimulation to the prostate directly, as well. I actually found it to be a bit too firm for my preferences, but I can see how it could be helpful for those aiming for a pure prostate orgasm.One slight nitpick I have from a functional perspective is how difficult the bullet vibrator can be to remove sometimes. The instructions recommend coating the bullet in lube before inserting it into the toy, but I’ve found the vacuum that forms when pulling it out still remains. In terms of design, it could have potentially helped if a smaller channel or two were run parallel and intersecting with the main hole for the bullet vibrator. That way, air always has one or more paths to be displaced from and flow back into when inserting/removing the bullet.Other than that, I think the Ripple Rider is a solid toy that delivers on almost everything it set out to, and the removable bullet vibrator is an excellent feature.

Being a lot larger than my previous tool, I approached this with caution, or so I thought! Instead of inserting this, I decided to remove the vibrating pen from the main body of the massager and use this to begin with. Starting on low I placed this where needed, again, or so I thought. It didn’t feel like it was doing much, stupidly I decided to go from 1- 100 in 2 seconds flat, pressing the selector twice for full power. I moved ever so slightly on my bed and it slot into place. At least I think that’s what happened as I swear I fainted. I’ve never felt anything like it, MY SOUL LEFT MY BODY. I actually pulled my back it was that intense. I would recommend this to anybody.

This was my first prostate massager, so needless to say I was frothing at the mouth to get my hands on it. Unfortunately, after about six sessions, I feel I can pretty confidently say this is a waste of your money, and you’d be far better off either investing in a better prostate massager (or, if your prostate is close to the entrance, going cheaper with the Tracy Cox prostate massager) or just buying it for the bullet vibe and using that as an all-purpose anal vibrator.Allow me to break it down:The box is simple in design. If it weren’t for the giant picture on the front, you could probably convince someone who caught a glance of it that it’s a box of medical supplies. Opening it up, you’ll find a small product safety booklet and the massager casing itself in a resealable bag, with the actual vibrator and charger cable included in another, smaller resealable bag within the first bag.The massager and vibrator are extremely well constructed. I don’t have the know-how necessary to provide hard specs for the silicone used, but it seems pretty high-grade, to the point where you could probably get away with using oil or grease-based lube in a pinch without damaging it. Quite generously, the vibrator body itself is coated in the same silicone, with the only plastic (PU coated ABS plastic, to be exact) comprising the power/mode button and charging port. The charging port contains a small “sphincter” to keep moisture out (you can feel when inserting the charging cable), and while I haven’t tried it out myself in water yet, I don’t think it’ll give you any trouble unless you’re wearing it while snorkeling or something.The vibrator portion is about 3 inches long, and about 2 inches in circumference. It has two “revving” patterns (my personal fave), about three “thrusting” patterns (not a fan) and two patterns reminiscent of a phone vibrating when you have a call incoming (good for warming up). Vibration strength is decent (even better without the massager, but we’ll get to that), although personally I wish it was slightly more powerful. If you’re used to mid-range standalone vibrators, it’ll probably leave you yawning. The power button (which also changes the setting) is a bit fiddly to manage during play, and I can only toggle the travel lock by pure accident (though luckily never while in use!), but it’s not that big of a deal. The one major downside is the noise level. Using it with the provided massager portion dampens the noise somewhat, but you’ll still be producing an audible hum on anything but the lowest setting, so look elsewhere if you’re interested in public or discreet play.The battery life is the real star of the show here. I don’t know if it’s just my unit, but the 50 minutes max playtime claim seems like a woeful underestimation, as my unit lasted for a full hour and a half before turning off. That being said, it did start to noticeably lose strength after about the hour mark, but if the medium strength setting is enough for you, there’ll be absolutely no need to take a break for the vibe to recharge. Speaking of, charging is a cinch. It’s a standard USB-A plug (not USB-C, unfortunately), and you should be able to plug it into any standard USB-A gizmo charger or just plug it into your computer without worrying about damaging the battery. You only need to charge it for the full 90 minutes (although my unit seemed a bit quicker than that) if it’s completely flat, with most charges only taking about 10-20 minutes. It also arrives in the box about 80% charged, so you can dive straight in if you’d like.Great so far, but here’s the kicker: The silicone massager is simply useless for me. Due to the design of the massager portion, it loses a good 70% of the vibration by the time it reaches the tip, where you’d most likely want it the strongest. Perineum massaging did nothing for me before, and this hasn’t changed my mind about it, so that’s out. On top of that, I actually overestimated how far into the anus my prostate is, so the four inches of length actually overshoot the mark by a wide margin. Obviously, I can’t speak for your ass, but I’d recommend making absolutely certain your prostate is far enough in for this toy to hit it before buying.The base is quite inflexible, so coupled with the amount of the vibrator left exposed, using it while sitting is out of the question. It’s nearly impossible to remove the vibe once it’s fully inserted, so I hope you weren’t planning on charging this discreetly at any point. Small tip for that: Pinch the tips of the base and wiggle the vibe back and forth while trying to pull it out.About the only positive I can say about it is the shape and firmness are quite nice. It’s somewhat soft at the tip, but gets firmer as you go down, which make it easy to insert, and perfect for those new to anal. The bumps in the shaft also provide some nice manual stimulation during insertion. If the base was removed and it had a bit more length and girth, I could actually see myself using this as a dildo.Some other reviewers had issues with the massager slipping out during play, but I just used a bit less lube and it stayed in place just fine.So, tl;dr: If you’re looking for a decent rechargeable silicone bullet vibe, and for some reason things have lined up in such a way where buying this is cheaper than buying a dedicated bullet vibe, then it’s probably worth the money. Otherwise, if you’re looking for an actual prostate massager, look elsewhere.
