Fresh foreplay
Some of my favourite toys reside in the Desire collection and I love orgasm balms and gels so naturally, I was a keen bean to pick up this new addition to our Better Sex category and take for a test drive. The first thing that struck me was that while this is a little on the pricey side compared to some orgasm balms, the price is reflected in the amount of product you receive. The balm pot is a really healthy size and I can see it lasting me a long time. I prefer balms to gels because 1. I find there is much less wastage by massaging your finger into the balm in the pot rather than dispensing a pump of product and 2. It is easier to apply a little bit of balm and top up if needed. When I ran my finger over the Desire balm, it melted with my body heat and felt deliciously soft and velvety. It spread like butter and I was able to easily apply the product to my chosen sensitive area. I absolutely love the minty fresh scent, and the tingles started as soon as I applied the balm. My sensitivity was certainly increased and the balm was the perfect enhancement to foreplay with my partner. Love it and would recommend it to anyone with a clitoris and/or nipples!

I got this for free on an order, I did not intend to purchase this. I hate the smell of mint (I can’t stand anything mint, foods or products). I don’t like the smell of this product at all, but the product works. I use this on my desire bullet vibrator. I typically use it after I’ve had an orgasm (I go for multiples) or after several days of using a vibrator as both situations decrease my sensitivity and this product increases my sensitivity. There’s a nice cooling feeling after a few minutes that feels really good right before orgasm. I returned the desire clitoral vibrator (I think it had a defect as it did nothing for me) and this did fit in the case that came with it. It’s a small jar (though it will last quite a long time!! There is a generous amount of product). I really enjoy this product and it works. I just wish the scent wasn’t so strong (the scent of mint can often make me feel ill – I have to be careful not to inhale near this product while it’s open). I probably won’t be repurchasing, because it came with so much and it is pretty expensive…. however I will be disappointed if I ever run out of this and may change my mind at that time. Earth-shattering
I was initially very dubious of this product as, to be quite frank, I thought it would have a placebo effect on people. If they believed it would work then it would, so to speak. But I bought this product as it was down to £5 with Lovehoney underwear and gave it a go. Well, what can I say… as a young female I have little trouble reaching climax. During solo play orgasms are a little harder to come by, by I get there in the end. This balm wasted no time it working it’s magic on me! I tried it first alone, and then the next day with my OH. At first I felt no difference when tried on my nipples, but it eventually kicked in and make them feel amazing! I don’t tend to have overly sensitive nipples, but this made feel amazing (especially when my OH started playing with temperatures on them!) On the clitoris it worked much quicker and had me tingling for ages. Used alongside a vibrator, I felt incredible and the orgasms wasted no time in coming. Feeling Extremely Tingly
I’ve tried this balm 4 or 5 times now. First time I used it my first impression was that it smelt lovely (like peppermint)! I was super excited and decided to use a quite a bit. Not a good idea! My genitals felt like they were lightly burning as it is quite a minty balm. The next few times I made sure that I only used a tiny amount. This felt a lot more comfortable and the mint made everything tingle. It opened a door to a different sensation but I can’t say I was overwhelmed. I got it on offer so I am glad I didn’t pay full price. It will last a long while so if it works for you and for that reason it would be worth the money. Personally it’s not a product I would purchase again due to personal preference. Would maybe try another balm.

Not So Much
After reading all the reviews of this balm, I was excited to get it in and try it out on my OH. Maybe it was the build up of anticipation but unfortunately it failed to live up to the description to “boost sensitivity and intensify orgasms” for us First application to OH nipples garnered a “Was that supposed to do something?” response. I thought maybe I applied to little so I added a more generous amount. That prompted a response of “I can smell it.” Maybe my OH has de-sensitized nipples but this did not deliver for us. 🙁

Good value for money
I bought this for discount when I bought one of my latest toys, however given the size, I think it is good value for money even when you pay the full price. I haven’t used an orgasm balm for a while, since I do not usually struggle with getting an orgasm. However the deal was good and recently experiencing issue with orgasm following some health issues – I find it slightly harder to relax and thus orgasms do not come so easily for me right now. The size of the container is bigger than expected, all my previously used orgasm balms came in smaller package. I already used this one several times and it barely shows – you really only need to use a little bit of the balm. It creates a tickling sensation and the clitoris gets more sensitive as result. I found that this makes me to orgasm quicker, so I will stay away from it when I am in mood for longer session. Overall, this is a good buy, although keep in mind that this balm may not work the same for every single person. The container is bigger, 30g, and it will last you for some time, therefore I think it is good value for your money.

I wouldn’t have bought this at the normal price, but I picked it up for an absolute bargain price of £5 when I bought another product. However, I have to say now that I would happily pay full price for it, as it’s a bargain even then. It’s a beautiful, soft-melting balm that you only have to rub the tip of your finger in briefly in order to pick up enough to use. The texture is almost creamy, not waxy or solid so that you have to dig it out with your fingernail like other balms I’ve used. When applied it works really quickly, giving me a delicious, almost chilling tingle that I love. In fact, I love it so much that I use it just for the tingle, even if sex is off the menu! As I mentioned, this balm is a bargain. I’ve used balms that are a quarter of the size that work out far more expensive (though the smaller sizes are handy to take away), and aren’t as nice to use or don’t have the tingle factor I love. I hope that Lovehoney considers making a travel size of this and that maybe they’d do a flip-top lid on the full size – just for quick access. I hope it’s never discontinued as I’m addicted!

There are no disappointments with this balm in anyway! The smell is lovely, very fresh. I’m normally a bit loathe to use balms and things like that, as have found a lot that are sticky or greasy. This is neither! It sinks well into your skin without leaving a tacky residue, which is great. Be careful with how much you put on – the first time I used it I pushed into the balm a bit with my finger to get a visible amount, and regretted it pretty quickly! You just need a tiny film on your fingertip, that’s enough. In terms of feel it’s a bit menthol-y, definitely makes you very aware of the area you’ve put it on. I found it to work best on nipples.

Have tried the pump bottle ignite in the passed, this Balm isn’t as messy and just as good to use. You do need do use a little bit more then other balms but the quality is great and results desired.

I think my expectations of this balm may have been too high.For me, it does give a pleasant tingle when applied, but that does not last very long at all and stopping to re-apply isn’t always appropriate. Will probably just use for solo play from now on, or maybe for a last minute boost to sensation.

Close to durex tingle lube
We’ve been looking for an alternative to durex tingle lube since they changed the recipe and took out the menthol this was quite some years ago. This is the closest thing we’ve found a nice cold tingling sensation.
