After hearing that we were going to be receiving a luxury rabbit as an early-doors tester, we were really excited to have the opportunity, and boy has it lived up to its name. The packaging this rabbit comes in really sets the tone for what’s inside. The combination of dark purple and dark grey screams opulence and class. It was a really nice surprise to find that the rabbit comes in its own zip-up case – and adds to the thought that has gone into creating the overall product. The case itself has one side which neatly fits the rabbit, and the other side has a double pocket (one of which fastens with Velcro) and a couple of elastic straps. This would allow you to put another toy or some lube in the other side if you’re planning on travelling, or want to keep them away from prying eyes. The case also has a little hole in the side which allows you to put your charger through, so you can keep it charged whilst not having the toy on show. The zippers also have a hole on them to allow you to securely lock the case with a padlock for extra security. The first thing we noticed about the rabbit was how soft the silicone is. It really is premium grade, and feels so silky and smooth. We were slightly confused about how to charge it when we first got it out of the box. We thought there was a manufacturing fault, because there was no hole where the charger should go. It turns out that Lovehoney have created a totally waterproof toy. When you push the charger into the small indented circle, it stretches into the toy and the charger works! This means that there is no way any water could get into the toy. What a great idea! The buttons to control the rabbit aren’t as intuitive as others we own. To turn it on, you hold down the + sign, then use the middle button to scroll through the modes. The reason I said they aren’t as intuitive is because you have to hold down the – button to turn it off. This can be a minor annoyance when you’re on the highest setting, as it takes a couple of seconds to power down. The shape of the shaft feels great when inside you. Although the head isn’t a vastly different size to the rest, the upwards tilt means it feels great, and there is a little bit of give in the bend, meaning you can press it against your G-spot firmly and get the vibrations right where you want them. The rabbit ears are firm and the vibrations carry well through them. Our advice would be to start off on a low setting and see how you get on, because they are so intense on the highest setting! Where this rabbit really comes to life is the vast array of buzz options that you are given. First of all, on the lowest setting, you get a deep rumbling feeling from both the ears and the shaft, but when you turn it up all the way, you really feel the awesome power it has to offer. The firm ears fit snugly around your clit, whilst the curved shaft presses against your G-spot. Then it’s time to cycle through the patterns. My first impression was simply that the packaging is absolutely gorgeous, very classy and very luxurious with the matte box and gorgeous purple and grey colour scheme. The silicone was what impressed me most, it’s so super soft you feel like you are stroking velvet. Despite being matte the silicone has very little drag, so minimal lube is required (though obviously maximum lube is more fun). The colour is very dark compared to all the other purple toys I have from the Lovehoney brand, but this only adds to the pure velvet effect. I literally sat and stroked this toy for about 10 minutes while blabbering in awe to my partner about how amazing and beautiful and soft it is. Charging is quick and easy, and with a whole 60 minutes of play per 120 minutes of charging I think the battery life is very good too. During use, the three button operation makes it easy to navigate the various speeds and patterns available. The button positioning means it is just as easy for a partner to use this toy on you as it is to use it on yourself. The Desire Rabbit has managed to strike an amazing balance between power and noise. I compared it once again to the Happy Rabbit 2 and found it was both more powerful and quieter, however they managed that. For those who do not own the Happy Rabbit 2, to put that into context it feels like you have a mains powered toy inside you in terms of deep, rumbly and powerful vibrations, while it sounds like you have a little battery powered bullet quietly buzzing away. Power aside (not that that much power can be ignored, trust me), the patterns on this toy are remarkable. They are the kind that send you into a mind melding tizzy where you don’t know up from down but who cares because you’re orgasming more powerfully than you could ever have thought possible.They’ve obviously put a lot of thought into these patterns, and I’m not going to insult the sheer amazingness that they are by trying to describe them to you. I want to start off by talking about the quality of this thing, it is fantastic. I was skeptical of the desire range at first but having bought this I can understand the price difference. If you’ve struggled with rabbit vibrators in the past or wanted them with a bit more power then this is for you. The design and materials are fantastic. The power settings start in the middle rather than from the bottom but this is more of a mild annoyance rather than a deal breaker. This vibrator was surprisingly girthy as well – usually they’re stick thin and really short. This isn’t like size queen level of big but enough to make you feel full.
