I wonder how it will translate to the male anatomy. I skim the rest of the information before slipping it aside to reveal a more minimalist but equally effective main box. Reassuringly heavy, I caress the embossed product name, slit the security seals and open the hinged lid. Again, I’m impressed. Everything fits so snugly in individual compartments with clear instructions on the inner lid. This product is so plush.Happily, the Ion battery is pre-charged, so it’s show time. The diameter is small but push on in and it stretches around you keeping a nice tight fitTwo things to bear in mind: Number one: Smart SilenceTM.is a misnomer. Something has been lost in translation. The Arcwave Ion is not even quiet. Personally, I like noisy toys, it adds to the experience but obviously, this may be an issue for some. Secondly, don’t expect instant gratification. The Ion is a ground-breaking piece of German engineering, a whole new game and it takes a while to learn the way to get the best out of it. Trust me: patience will be rewarded. In silent mode, the Ion only operates when it detects full body contact over the air pulse opening, so I quickly decided to hold this feature as it was distracting when the Ion kept turning itself off. The first time was a little fumbling around trying to work out how to do it right. Sound familiar? Hit the spot though and the sensation was fantastic. The challenge was to keep the Ion running smoothly working around the sweet spot as the intensity could change significantly with just small movements. It did the job though, enabling me to climax just when I wanted… and then … I couldn’t stop. I have never experienced anything like this before. The ejaculation reflex went on and on until eventually I had to pull the Ion off. This is where silent mode comes into its own because the Ion gets really noisy when removed without this feature active. I was sceptical at first, and the hype had a bit too much of a “too good to be true” feel about it. This was definitely a new experience for me and although it was definitely a “good” experience, the product itself is super confusing and the marketing is a quite misleading.Firstly, to say that this is based on “research that’s discovered the frenulum is home to pleasure receptors as sensitive as those of the clitoris”, without providing the source of that research… seems a bit like saying pigs fly in some circumstances. I couldn’t find any research on PubMed or any of the usual sources (willing to be corrected), and unless it was a peer-reviewed study, I don’t know how you can claim it to be a legitimate study, particularly to support a marketing campaign.With that being said, the sensation is nothing like other strokers, so it is definitely quite original and the sensation is a new one for me, albeit not the multiple female orgasm I was hoping for…It’s a neat gadget but not one I’d show to most of my friends…When it arrived this morning, I thought it was my PS5. Promised more than it delivered

Scratches a different itch altogether

This toy is novel and really is a revolutionary, new thing.It takes some experimentation to figure out how the heck to use it. There is a sweet spot where the air blowing is intense and the noise is not too loud. That sweet spot so far is hard to find sometimes. First Experience With Something Like This
It’s really easy to use and works well for me on even the lowest vibration setting. Okay have had for a short period and used twice, so this is my initial review.Packaging was very well done and the unit itself is solid and feels well made. Buying this expensive and relatively untested (as in, a new technology for male sex toys) was not without risk. Realize that this is a very new product on the market and has only been out less than a couple months as I write this review. I’ve had it for 3 weeks now. First of all it is pretty loud. If you have it on the lowest setting and are covering the sensor hole it is quite quiet but I haven’t been able to finish on this setting and anything above it gets loud enough that you will want to smother with a pillow. It’s tricky to find the exact spot on the frenulum that will work because it’s not a strong instant pleasurable feeling. Remember we are all built a little differently so what works for me might not work for you. Having said that, WOW, this thing is great! It is a total game changer. I liked the idea of this masturbator and I have just received mine and have used it twice. OK, so it’s very expensive, but be patient with it. Do spend time reading the manual carefully as sometimes it isn’t intuitive. The build has a very classy feel to it and thankfully it’s a lot smaller than many other strokers. The Smart Silence is the least satisfactory feature and not easy to turn off; this matters because this feature is very noisy when ‘ON’. The manual says ‘Place the DryTech pack inside the DryTech stick….But HOW ? There are several narrow slits but no proper opening. I was disappointed having paid a lot of $$$ for this item that it was so incredibly noisy. It does have a mode whereby it doesn’t turn on until it senses you are in the right spot but once it’s active it’s by no means quiet. Good concept but lacked enthusiasm

Innovative Concept, but Not for Everyone
The Arcwave Ion caught my attention because of its innovative approach to male pleasure with air pressure technology. Not as good as I hoped
Been eying up this for along time and got it on an amazing offer.First of the packaging is super premium and quite a bit bigger than I expected. Simply the best
The Ion 2 arrived in the normal brown discreet package in a couple of days. Unboxing revealed a really sturdy and premium looking package. The Ion 2 was well packed inside and includes the sub c charging cable and a nice neoprene zipper soft storage case. There is also a handy quick start guide on the inner box. I gave it a couple of hours to charge and then started to familiarise myself with it. The controls are a bit confusing until you get your head round it. When in smart mode you can’t get it to switch on until you have inserted your self into it. The sleeve your penis goes in is very soft premium silicon material. Size wise the sleeve is about 100mm long and 33mm in diameter. The material is stretchy enough to accommodate much bigger girths. I am just over 125mm long and 40mm diameter (toilet roll tube size) and it fits really well. The sleeve is fairly stretchy but you won’t be able to slide in without lube. There is an oval hole in the tube which would be lined up with your frenulum. I’m not circumcised I retracted my foreskin. Lubed the sleeve and slid in so my frenulum was covering the oval hole. I got the Ion running in suction mode. That felt really nice. I can’t explain the sensation but it’s like nothing I’ve experienced before. The Arcwave Ion may be not be for everyone. In my personal opinion the toy shines the most when used on a lower setting over a longer period of time. I really struggled with this one, could have been 3 or 4 stars trying to work out whether the amazing finish this toy gives outweighs the fact I’m still not 100% sure how it works after using it a number of times.It comes in a nice, discreet case and all fits together and charges nicely. I always wondered how different this is to using a clitoral suction device. I can now enthusiastically report that the Arcwave Ion provides a radically unique experience, which is difficult to compare to other devices. As someone who already loves male vibrators, I was really excited to find a toy that adapts the design of clitoral suction vibrators for men. But after a few months of testing, I’ve got mixed feelings about the Ion, and I’m not sure I can recommend it.This is an expensive toy, and I’m being a bit harsher because of that fact. For an RRP around £170 (although it’s frequently on offer for substantially less) you’d expect to be buying a real game-changer that would see very regular use, and my experience just hasn’t been that. Firstly, on the packaging Arcwave absolutely outdid themselves, and then ruined it… The box the Ion comes in is really fancy, more resembling something like the box for a new iPhone model than a sex toy. However, the box and the toy itself was absolutely covered in some kind of dusty, plastic-y residue that needed a thorough scrubbing off. As for the actual kit itself, you can’t fault Arcwave for the quality. The Ion feels weighty and well-constructed, with some nice features like a battery-level indicator. It seems really sturdy, and well made, like a premium toy for this price should.When actually using the Ion I found it a little bit fiddly to turn on the first time but you get the hang of it pretty quick. Using lube is an absolute must, especially if you’re on the girthier side as you’ll struggle to get yourself in it. As for the actual sensation of using the toy, it’s very powerful, and maybe it’s too much! I found it overstimulating and I only ever found myself using the lower setting or two. It’s pretty much guaranteed to make you cum fast, and not usable for edging. Once turned on it’s VERY loud, to the point where I’d probably only use it when I know the neighbours are out. I’ve never felt that self-conscious about noise before using vibrators, but this thing is like an engine! I have had the original ion for a while and got the Ion 2 on sale for a good price. The shipping was quick and it arrived in a discrete package. I quickly opened it and checked it over. The box was not sealed and the directions said to wash it before use. So I washed it throughly and dried it off. It is quick and easy to wash and dry. Now it was time to charge it. The magnetic charger is a pain to keep attached while charging it doesn’t take much for it to fall off and this make it hard to put out of site while charging. The original has a docking station to charge it on which works better. After charging it for a couple of hours as recommended it was time to try it out I got lubbed up and turned it on and slide in. It turn on and then the smart silence activates and then I could not get it to work no matter how I position it on my shaft so I shut off the smart silence which is also a pain holding several buttons down at once. Once it got going it was very pleasurable. It is quieter than the original but it is still not silent or discreet on any setting over 3 or 4. It feels great once positioned on the frenulum and just stoking it just a small amount. The auto pilot is a nice feature and has 3 different levels and is very easy to change or turn off. After using several time the orgasms are great and the battery lasts a long time
