Don't let the name put you off
OH wore this (paired with Rene Rofe Fishnet Thigh High Stockings with Backseam) and loved it. Although no support for the bust, the way it fastens around the neck and the strap across the back kept everything in place and I’m told was extremely comfortable. As with all the other Lovehoney lingerie we’ve bought, no complaints with quality – material is very soft and was extremely good value for money, so would definitely recommend this.

Bought this as a treat for my hubby for valentines. Tried it on as soon as it arrived and loved it. I agree with other comments it does need the stockings for the full look and fit. I whatsapp my hubby a sneaky picture of what was to come later and he couldn’t wait to get home! I made him wait all through three courses of dinner before I revealed all. Sexy and how
So this black beauty arrived. A stretchy lace/esh combo designed to make you look hot. The bustier has attached suspenders and a stretchy strap at the back to hold everything in place. It is fastened at the neck with a halterneck. The straps of this are stretchy making it a little less supportive than the larger endowed wearer might like but it hold everything. The centre of the cups contains a thin ribbon tie to keep your nipples enclosed, but if you want access to use nipple clamps, your mouth or anything else you both fancy then just untie them. The suspenders are the same stretch material used at the back and the halter neck and are adjustable. The clips are small but seem quite robust and are lined with ribbon detailing. They hold up stockings reasonably well although the stretch in the bustier itself makes us think it they might struggle for extended periods, so probably just for the bedroom this outfit. Included is a very brief g-string covering the front but not much at all at the back. it is soft and comfortable to wear. It fits well on my wife’s shape and is of the usual lovehoney build quality (that is good quality) with no loose seams.

Sexy, flirty, and coy
Let me just start by saying, you won’t be a widow long if you wear this stunning lingerie. It could revive the dead it looks so good. I wore this all over my house, performing various tasks from the utterly mundane to the completely sordid to give this outfit a real test. From my research, I can say I am a very happy woman, though there are a few niggly details that unfortunately mean I can’t class this in my top 5 lingerie pieces. Let me explain… When I first pulled this out of the packaging, I was relieved to feel the soft quality of the stretchy red lace and the firmer support bands. At no point did it feel itchy or scratchy and it hugged my curves beautifully. The detailing is just plain gorgeous! No part of this set looks or feels unfinished and bows are attached in every possible place to make this a really sensual and flirty piece. The material quality is first class. Now to the fit. I’m average height at 5’6’’ and wear a UK 18/20 on top and a 24 on the bottom (I have junk in my trunk). My breasts are usually a 40 DD/E, a very important measurement when it comes to buying peek-a-boo styled outfits. So how did this fit me? The answer is unfortunately mixed. The thong fit but barely, it definitely looked nice but was uncomfortable pretty quick. The most difficult part to fit will always be the breasts and this merrywidow just about makes the cut. This doesn’t have any wiring in the cups so support is an issue. It was ingenious to include a support band under the bust and I got a little support from this. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for mega cleavage, you will not find it here, particularly if your breasts are on the larger side. I also find that the ‘triangle’ bust was just too narrow. I kept having one or both try to escape out of the side because I was just too full cupped to be kept in place. One weird thing with me was also where the bows of the peek-a-boo element sat. Because I have large (and therefore a bit saggier) breasts, my nipples sit quite low and just kind of hang out under the little bows. It’s still cute but I’m fairly sure these would need to be lower to fit a plus size body like mine as expected. Secondly, the length. For those of you less familiar with lingerie terms, the merry widow name means that the stocking straps have to be attached to create the elongated silhouette. This means you need to invest in really well fitting stockings in order to wear this. The straps are adjustable but I found that I needed stockings that sat mid-thigh for this to be comfortable and easy-ish to put on. For my proportions, it fit almost perfectly though. I feel like these negative comments make this sound like I didn’t love the product. Definitely not true! I looked and felt great but I think if you are a woman with proportions much bigger than mine (in height, hip, and waist size) this will be nothing but frustrating. While the small details mean this isn’t my die hard favourite in my collection, I had nothing but praise when I was wearing it and felt amazingly sexy.

I always love trying a new piece of lingerie, this Merry Widow is no exception. Delivered discreetly, packaged perfectly, Lovehoney always delivers to high standards. On opening you can tell this is high quality lingerie. The fabric is beautiful, every stitch is where it should be and it it flawless. The colour is so vibrantly eye-catching. Red is quite possibly one of my favourite colours for lingerie To put this on it it much easier to step into it rather than to pull it over your head. I learned this after becoming tangled up. Oops! After a little jiggling about, I was stunned to see how good this looked on me. The mesh and fabric enhances the good curves and skims the less desirable, creating a gorgeous silhouette. The way the pieces are stitched into a v like shape elongates the body. So much thought has gone into this design. I really love the halterneck style, with it being a tie it can be adjusted to fit perfectly. The strap across the back keeps this piece in place so no rolling of mesh occurs. This makes me insanely happy. The peekaboo feature is a really nice touch. The ribbon ties are extremely feminine but can be pulled to expose the naughty secret. I was surprised to see this came with a g-string, I was not expecting it at all, even though its not my first choice of underwear it compliments the bustier beautifully. This cannot be worn without stockings. I tried but it ends up as just a rumpled piece of fabric with dangly straps. Not very sexy but rather funny when shaking what mama gave you. It’s like a cross between a flogger and a helicopter. Although this is basically a stockingless body stocking I love it as you can choose what stockings to pair with it. White is by far my favourite colour of stockings to wear with it. The Lovehoney red stockings are pretty much an exact colour match. The combinations are endless. I love my Merry Widow! It almost turned me into one, my husband was more that a little hot under the collar when I stepped out if the bathroom wearing it. To me that’s a massive bonus. My confidence was boosted, his *eherm* mood was boosted. Its easily taken off too but with ease of access I much prefer leaving it on!

I love this item, i was extreeemley skeptical because it’s so cheap but it is absolutely gorgeous – goes above and beyond. Lace is thin but good quality and stretchy, as is the mesh. In the past I have worn similar items to this but they just never seem to fit right. This however hugged me in all the right places! As a size 8 I have small breasts, as a result of this outfits I try on usually end up leaving me with puffy bags where the breasts are. I ordered this to celebrate my 10 year anniversary and it did not disappoint!!! I felt amazing and cant remember the last time I looked so sexy!! The husband was speechless! This bustier made me feel very special, the material was lovely and the design is beautiful and super sexy. You really need to get stockings to go with this outfit to get the full effect so I would definitely recommend buying some if you don’t already own a pair. I love the fact that this outfit is adjustable as it means you can make the fitting right for you. My only complaint is that for women with smaller breasts, such as myself, the bows do not sit right and it takes some adjusting and I had to restrict my movements if I wanted them to stay in place. Not what I expected at all
This item has such great reviews and I was excited to feel sexy and confident. As a size 10/12 I thought the fit would be great, but on arrival I tried it on and I felt disgusting. I took it off and cried for half an hour as that’s the way it made me feel about my reflection. I got my boyfriend all worked up about this and now I can’t even bring myself to look at it. I am a size 18 and this outfit is awful. It’s so small, and defiently looks nothing like the photo. Considering I am on the lower end of the scale for one size fits all and it doesn’t fit me suggests they need to rethink sizing. I guess you get what you pay for.

Very disappointing
i had high hopes for this bustier, with its halterneck and peek a boo cups, but unfortunately when it arrived, i couldn’t be more disappointed. I am a size 24 usually and i know i am at the upper end of your product range sizes, but i adore your lingerie and have bought your knickers before and been very happy. May be i should have stuck to just the knickers. i couldn’t get this lingerie on at all, (tried stepping into it and trying to get over my head), and in fact, it felt so flimsy, i was worried i would damage it if i tried too much. i would advise in closing that you change the sizing claim to be up to size 22 rather than 24 as i doubt any of your size 24 customers would be able to get it on. Its a pity, cos it looks gorgeous on your model.

Peekaboo Fun
I was hesitant in buying this as I have a thin frame and didn’t think I’d be able to fill it out but it easily adjusts to your body type and was a perfect fit. It gave me a major confidence boost! In all honesty
The one size doesn’t work if you have bigger boobs as the fit doesn’t look nice. I am a size 12 with a natural 34E bust tiny waist and I also have hips. I have tried it on and literally it has just been in my draws since and I will not wear it. It isn’t flattering as your breasts come out of side and looks like they have been flattened. I wouldn’t recommend any of the one size products!

Amazing first proper lingerie

Perfect for play time

This is a great item, I was a bit nervous about it fitting and looking good, I’m a size 6 on top and a size 10/12 on bottom. I’ve bought lingerie similar to this before from LoveHoney, just different styles. Red is my favourite colour and this red did not disappoint! I also fell in love with the open cups, where you can lace it up when you want the girlies closed, and then open it up when you want to give them attention. One size does not fit all
Bought this as a surprise for my partner. I’m a size 14 so assumed this would be fine as it said it fits up to a 16. The fit is awful which made me upset I also bought the stockings to go with it and again the size is awful. Apart from that it’s nice just better if the sizing was correct

I bought this with very low expectations but I was pleasantly surprised by it. I am 5ft11 and size 12 normally so I was not expecting this to fit and have been disappointed by lingerie sizes before. The main body of it is a comfortable fit and the thong actually fits me perfectly. However, the body’s natural resting place is a bit short and lies above my curvy belly. With stockings though, I am hoping this is resolved once the material will be stretched and pulled down over my stomach. I’ve bought the stockings the website suggests but they appear incredibly thin, and will probably tear after one use ,so I’m saving them for the night I’ve bought them for. I’m also doubtful they’ll fit my long legs but we’ll see.

This is like pantyhose–the lace has to stretch down your body as well as around it, so if you’re tall it runs out of surface area faster. I’ve had this bustier set in my saved items for so long and that makes it even more disappointing. I’ll start this by saying I should’ve looked closer at the product photos. If I had, then I wouldn’t have bought it. I am a UK size 22-24, apple shaped and always go for the Curve size unless something is very stretchy. I bought the Curve size 24-28 in this.The colour is gorgeous, it feels nice on, the clips feel sturdy. The whole set feels like it would stay in place well enough during sex and feels like it would be comfortable to wear for an extended time. I know my partner would’ve loved this on me had it fit well and he’d have been delighted with the peek-a-boo feature. Unfortunately, the chest area just doesn’t work for me. My breasts would’ve needed the strap at the back to be placed higher up to keep the chests intended shape. When I tie the halter, the material of the chest just flattens out and isn’t a good look on me. I think the product photos have been altered. However, I know these chest types don’t fit my body, and therefore, I shouldn’t have bought it. I’ve returned it for a refund, and it won’t stop me from buying more lingerie because I love it, and when it fits my body, it makes me feel amazing.

I cross dress and the XL fits a bulky male 6ft 1″ no probs. It is free tie design so you can adjust to pretty much any body length. THe suspender attachments are a little on the thin side for my personal taste and I’d have liked them to be slightly thicker but they are easy to attach and stay attached. The nipple reveal is a bit on the cheap side but this wasn’t expensive. The feel of the material is nice and it accentuates my hips and gave me the female look that I desire. The panties that come with it are a bit on the naff side If I’m honest. Not very sexy and would have been better to have been lace pattern rather than solid.
