A great big box of disappointment. . .
I was so excited for this suitcase but I was sadly quite disappointed by it. It’s one of those times where the pictures look much better than the actual product. Initial looks are great, it arrives in a stylish black box with padding and the combination code locks are highly polished which are easy to set to any code you like (they arrive preset on 0000). I was so excited to crack it open and take a peek inside! Upon opening, all of your new bondage goodies arrive in a red velvet bag with the visible loops to hang everything up. I thought it sounded like all of the goodies were wrapped in plastic, but my husband said it was more luxurious than that and he thought they might be wrapped in tissue paper. Unfortunately, I was right: not even nice bags, just bog-standard, plastic sealed bags. I really wanted to be impressed by this set, but I just wasn’t. The faux leather feels thin and cheap, and I do worry that some of the straps might snap if you pulled on them hard enough. The cuffs and collar aren’t lined either so it gets hot and sticky after a while, and not in a good way. The blindfold is thin and unpadded too, and the only way to block out light is by closing your eyes. As for the handle of the leash that can be used as a paddle, it just feels awkward and cheap. Just buy a paddle already! Wherever there’s pleather, it’s stamped with the “Bedroom Fantasies” logo. Look, I get it, self-promotion is important, but must it be stamped onto EVERYTHING? It feels less like a sexy bondage set, and more like a kinky billboard. The gold-tone metalwork is nice and feels strong, but that (and the case) really is the only thing I like about this set. Oh, and speaking of the case, hanging things up is a nightmare! I should not need both hands to clip a cuff in place! We were so disappointed by this set, we didn’t even include it in our next kinky session. A massive let-down for the spy/interrogation roleplay we had in mind! I think this set is massively overpriced for the quality of what you get and it definitely doesn’t feel very “luxury” at all. The Bondage Boutique range is MUCH nicer.
