These are pretty sturdy cuffs, They do have a safety release, which with a little modification can be ‘disabled’ (as long as you trust your partner). They do the job of turning me on, as soon as he puts them on me. To the point, I missbehave just to get restrained! they can close tighter if your hands are cuffed behind you and you are lying on your back, which can be uncomfortable and leave marks on your wrists.

These come in a simple, uninteresting box with 2 keys. I have been in real police handcuffs (not due to any criminal activity i hasten to add, strictly in the bedroom activities) and no cuffs can really compare in my opinion, however these are a decent alternative. You don’t quite get the same feel of not being able to escape, but they do tighten well, even on my fairly small wrists, you just have to try and forget the release catch. I like the fact there is a release catch because hunting for the key is really not sexy and would ruin the mood next time the handcuffs come out. As ever, these handcuffs arrived quickly and discretely. They are solid and quite heavy and have a quality feel about them. They are really easy to put on but do this carefully as it’s also easy to over tighten them! They feel really secure when in place so no chance of you or your partner wriggling out of them. The first time we used them, my partners wrists began to hurt as they did dig in but his arms were elevated somewhat and his wrists were putting quite a lot of pressure on them – this was easily remidied by putting pillows under his wrists to support the arms and wrists. I found I had the same problem but I simply held onto the headboard for a while to give my wrists a rest. They do leave marks but, as I think someone else pointed out, this is part of the fun! When using these last night my partner struggled somewhat with unlocking them (they can be a bit difficult, especially with slippery fingers) and I ended up having to unlock them myself which wasn’t too easy but definitely better than the idea of being rescued by the fire service! These are a great addition to our toy box but really I think they will be an introduction to other forms of restraints

To be honest we weren’t expecting much, just a very basic pair of cuffs, but on arrival (super fast and discreet as always, thanks Lovehoney), we were pleasantly surprised. The cuffs are of a very sturdy construction and really look the part, they’ve taken a bit of force and been lightly pulled on during use with no adverse effect on the product (although I wouldn’t recommend using these with a lot of force). The mechanism is reliable, working well with no jams. Overall, I’d say that if you are looking for a basic no frills set of cuffs that should last for ages if taken care of then buy these, they’re perfect for the price and I really can’t see why you need to spend more, unless you were given them some rough treatment.

I’m a massive bondage fan. I’ve already got various soft and leather cuffs, but I wanted these as I wanted something that felt a little bit hardcore. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on handcuffs in case I tried them once or twice and didn’t really like them. Therefore, I didn’t have massively high hopes for a pair of £5.99 handcuffs, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good they are! First off, the packaging was great. Again, for £5.99 I was expecting something in the tackiest packaging, if it had an packaging at all. But no, the handcuffs came in a wonderfully designed LoveHoney box, which made them look much more classy and quality than their price would suggest. The handcuffs themselves are made from a solid metal and are not flimsy at all. I had my doubts about the chain, but it has held up so far, and frankly for the price I would not mind if I had to replace the chain at some point. Admittedly, I have not had a good, hard struggle, but with very good reason, and my favourite part about these handcuffs – they hurt if you struggle! They feature a quick release mechanism so that you can quickly get your lover out of them if the need arises. It also features a small switch to prevent you getting out of the handcuffs yourself with the quick release, though we found this to be rather flimsy and didn’t hold itself in place at all. Not really a big deal, as with all my equipment it’s nice to know that I can get out of it myself if I really need to, but that’s not what the game’s about. It’s a shame though, as this is the only really bad thing I can think to say about them. You get two keys with the cuffs. I personally keep one with the cuffs and one in a safe place (which to me is on my house keys, so I can always carry a little bit of naughtiness around with me!) so that you’re never stuck in them because you lost the key. However, we’ve yet to need to use the key as the quick release mechanism works just as well. I personally would not recommend these to bondage beginners. I wanted something a little hardcore and I got it. You can adjust these around your wrists so that they’re loose, in which case the edges dig into you if you struggle. I had it like this and found that after a while of struggling I had a few marks around my wrists, but nothing that didn’t go away in an hour or two. Alternatively, you can have them quite tight and that way they can be quite uncomfortable. Of course, there are situations where discomfort can be a good thing. All in all, I paid a very cheap price and had expectations of a very cheap product, but ultimately I was very much surprised and can see me getting much use out of these and may even buy another pair!

The security features (the little metal swivel you see on the picture) stop them from closing too tight once you lock them in place — always a plus — and the chain is solid enough to go through at least average pulling. I know I’m not the strongest of girls, but they still held firm. Depending on just how much control you want to have, the presence of a quick-release safety mechanism may or may not be a good thing. I’m a wriggler and a fidget, and once they bounced themselves right off my wrists when I hit them against the bedposts in the right (wrong?) spot, but overall there’s a good chance that these will keep whoever you like where you want them for as long as they want. Do you need handcuffs? Yes. Do you need these? Probably. For the price, it’s hard to protest.

I’ve been meaning to buy some cuffs for a while and although I was sceptical of the quality of these with them being so cheap, I had no reason to. They are very heavy duty, a lot of fun if you don’t mind a bit of ‘marking up’. They didn’t take me long to get use to how they worked and the safety catches aren’t fiddly which is a good aspect. My main concern with handcuffs would be that I or a partner would lose the keys and I would have to wriggle them off or get them cut off. Since they have a release leaver that you can reach even when you are playing by yourself this concern was unwarranted. If you enjoy bondage but do not enjoy feeling 100% powerless this is perfect. The handcuffs are nice and cold, and do hurt after a while if you have been pushing against them. Since they are metal they do not make your skin feel itchy like a cheap fluffy pair. I was slightly apprehensive they would have a fancy dress toy feel. I was wrong, if it wasn’t for the safety latch i think you could actually keep someone locked in them (not that you would want to :P) We brought this with the Tracey Cox bondage tape, and it made a great combination as you can imagine. I love the way this product looks especially as me and my partner used these in a role play police and perpetrator type game. I’m not a fan of the fluffy ones as they just look fake and put a damper on role play for me. Pros: the cuffs are strong, look the part, feels naughty and encourages dirty talk and role play. If you are trying to spice up your sex, I like bounding them to the bed and teasing them until they crack! Makes the sex more explosive. There really is nothing like a proper pair of handcuffs. These were my first pair and they’ve lasted for a long time now. They seem to be very durable, showing no wear and tear. First of all, I am a firm believer in that handcuffs should look serious, stern, and without the fluffy pink bits (as cute as they are!). These handcuffs definitely do deliver on that menacing front and boy, are they sturdy! I’ve tried tugging on these so many times to come out with naughty marks on my wrists (which, in all honesty, hurts a little but for me that’s part of the excitement!). The bottomline is : once the cuffs lock in, they’re not coming back out until you hold down the release catch or use the key. My boyfriend and I definitely had fun with these and we’ve not looked back since! Secondly, as fun and sturdy these babies are, I’m afraid to say that it’s not without its (though very few) flaws. Beginning with the catch (please bear with me while I try my best to describe parts) that goes around your wrist and “locks” into the end, it’s rather flimsy in the sense that it pushes in too easily and I find myself having to readjust the cuffs around my wrists from time to time by pressing down on the catch to loosen them slightly because there were times when it got really uncomfortable. There is a small switch to hold the cuffs in place by switching it to “stop” (which will prevent the cuffs from becoming tighter), but unless you don’t struggle that much there is a very good chance of this small switch coming loose and moving up from “stop”. Another annoyance I have with these cuffs is that it’s really easily to accidentally press down on the catch. Perhaps it would be an improvement if the catch were to be slightly stiffer so that even a gentle nudge would not have your cuffs coming undone. However, for £5.99, I’d say that it’s actually made of a pretty good build, does what it says on the tin albeit the minor inconveniences and good fun for couples dipping their big toes into the warm waters of mild bondage. Despite its (again, very few) shortcomings, it nevertheless delivers on exciting nights!

These are something I’ve been looking for since my cheap pair finally broke about 9 months ago. These cuffs come in basic lovehoney packaging, with an image of the cuffs on the front with a description and the usual stuff you expect to see on these boxes. They’re a decent weight and they seem to be well smoothed out, I’ve had too many pairs from rival companies that try to slice you as soon as you get them on! These are pretty sturdy handcuffs – not really possible to break them apart, which is good if there’s a possibility you’ll be getting quite rough with them, and they fit around the wrist and cut into the skin in a nice way – if you’re a fan of pain, they’re fab. The quick release mechanism is a nice touch, especially if you’re new to the scene. We don’t tend to use the keys, they’re overally fiddly and we didn’t find they worked super well. The locking mechanism is useful to prevent them from getting too tight as they do tend to tighten as much as possible otherwise, but it doesn’t always work or stay in place, so you might find yourself in more pain than you expected. The only thing I will say is we’ve had a few issues with the quick release mechanism and the handcuffs coming undone, especially when they’re set to looser settings or around the ankles (which they just about fit around, for the record, though I’m fairly skinny/average), so if you’re looking for a longer term/professional equipment you might want to spend a bit more money. We use these a lot and really enjoy them! Especially fun to tie behind hands behind the back, attach to one wrist and one to objects to immobilise the person, or attached to the O ring of a collar and then tied to another person or an object.

With this product, you get what you pay for. For the price they were i presumed they would be flimsy and cheap but suprisingly they were extremely sturdy. There are two options of unlocking them either by the key or a small metal leaver on the side of the cuff. Extremely good product but due to it being a good quality metal expect them to sometimes rub against the skin and cause a little discomfort when the metal comes into contact with the bone on your wrist but other than that if your into a slight bit of pain, these handcuffs go down a treat. Nothing gentle about these badboys!

So far into my use of these cuffs, they have really proved to be sturdy and easy to use. I go to the gym a lot, and have managed some pretty heavy lifts, but this toy gives me a run for my money. While i don’t try as hard as i can to break out of them, it can put up with some force exertion, so don’t be afraid if you pull suddenly, they probably wont break, atleast in my experience.

When I received these handcuffs from Lovehoney I was impressed by the weight and sturdiness of them, as due to the relatively low price I was expecting something cheap and light. However, these feel enough like the real thing to move well beyond “fancy dress accessory” without getting into the realms of full-on security restraint – the latter often being very expensive to buy and …ahem…potentially a little more embarrassing to deal with in the event of a lost key! For me the fact that these Lovehoney Tease-me cuffs have a quick-release lever is ideal as it means I can restrain myself in readiness for my playmate’s arrival without worrying that if he gets delayed, or has to cancel at the last minute, that I’ve shackled myself to the bath for the next fortnight!!! The handcuffs are fairly easy to put on although I must admit that sometimes it takes a couple of attempts and a bit of patience. Have used them on many occasions now and have always been able to get them off without any problems using the quick release lever – I don’t really bother much with the keys. There are a couple of minor peeves – sometimes, in the heat of things, the quick release lever gets knocked or nudged and the cuffs release before intended, and on a couple of occasions there have been positions where the cuffs dig in a bit. But having said that for me the occasional discomfort is part of the experience of being cuffed and also the reason why I chose these over any ‘pink fluffy’ alternatives. I decided to invest in a second pair of cuffs for more options (e.g. each hand cuffed to the bedframe) and initially purchased what looked to be similar pair of cheaper cuffs from another retailer. However, when I received these they were extremely cheap and flimsy, and pretty much useless, so I had no qualms about spending a fraction more for another pair of these Tease-me cuffs from Lovehoney.

They come with a nice set of keys, but we’ve never used them as the handcuffs have a safety latch to open them, so thats used more often. The only thing i was disappointed in was how easy they were to open – but of course safety! During play, the handcuffs have opened twice on their own accord when being pulled gently, when they werent supposed to. Very easy to use and easily add a big of something to the bedroom. the size is perfect for both me although a little tight on my partner but they’re mostly used on me so this isn’t a problem for us.
