So close, and yet so far, there is something that is just a little bit ‘off’ about these glasses. I should qualify this by saying I have owned at least three previous pairs of sexy costume glasses of differing shapes and styles previously, all of which I would have considered wearing out and about as they were smokin’ hot and very flattering. This pair, however, due to their shape and lightweight nature, just look the wrong side of comedy on my face: think less sexy secretary, more Austin Powers. Thank you, but no. This *shouldn’t* be the case, because the photos appear to show rectangular frames (a la sexy secretary frames). They are, however, slightly more rounded than previous glasses in the same style, which for me just doesn’t work. As commendable as it is that they don’t have superfluous unnecessary plastic, for me the lenses are very much necessary. They add weight, which helps the glasses to sit better on the bridge, and I like the ‘safety google/ splash’ element to having lenses in place (I have never been a fan of cum in the eyes, it stings for some reason). Size-wise, they fitted fine, yes they feel a bit flimsy, but I would venture that is much to do with the lack of lenses as the build quality. Personally, these were more akin to the look of seventies NHS cheap glasses than any particularly sexy costume role-play. Just generally disappointing.So, if you wish to look slightly goofy

The traditional home for these glasses probably sit with the sexy secretary fantasy or something along those lines. However when these arrive Mrs B immediately suggested that they should instead be used for Clark Kent and Dorian Grey use! They are a great prop and lots of fun. They were delivered very promptly and discretely as ever! There was however no glass/lenses. Whilst this does some quite petty it somehow does make a difference in how they look! In terms of size they fitted both mrs and I but I think we are pretty average.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these glasses given the price. They have a reasonable weight or them, consider they are plastic frames, and the hinges have some resistance to them so they hold their shape. As part of a fancy dress outfit they work well, from a distance. The big issue for me is the absence of lenses, meaning there is no protection offered to eyes from stray fluids. Overall they are a great finishing touch to a sexy outfit, but should probably be removed when the heated action starts.
