Make them Stare with Barely There
I was sent the Barely There Robe in exchange of my honest review, thanks to Leanne and the team for selecting me. I love Lovehoney lingerie, the majority of my underwear collection (which is ample and – and growing!) is Lovehoney’s own brand. The Barely There range is beautiful! I own the purple push-up babydoll set and I love the silkly sheer fabric, it feels amazing next to bare skin. The robe is no exception to this – I love touching it! ~~~ Packaging Lovehoney lingerie comes in plain, plastic packaging. I’m happy not to have fancy packaging as I don’t keep it anyway, instead I use the storage bags Lovehoney sell to group my lingerie together depending on type (such a geek!). The only downside for me is the use of plastic, personally I’d be happy to have the lingerie loose in the box or wrapped in tissue paper. ~~~ Looks I love black lingerie as it flatters my skin tone, although I have all sorts of colours in my collection. With robes, I tend to stick to black as I find it goes with any colour of lingerie underneath. This is a soft, sheer robe with a thick lace trim to the neckline which runs quite far down, the lace looking pretty against my skin. A lace trim also adorns the cuffs. The sleeves are loose and floaty, and they end quite high above my wrists, being cut diagonally. They don’t look like three quarter length on me, but they possibly will on others as I have short arms! The lace trim here looks really pretty and the wider sleeves make my wrists and hands look slim and sleek. The robe comes with a belt in the same material, and has belt loops on the waist. ~~~ The Fit I’m a size 8 – 10, with 32DD boobs and I’m a petite 5’1″. This item comes in One Size and it comes with a tie up belt. This should fit a majority of sizes as it hangs loose on my body, but it doesn’t look like it’s too big on my small frame. It fits well on my shoulders and finishes a couple of inches my knees. It is quite high against the back of my neck and it hangs straight down and covers my nipples when I wear it undone. I would estimate this fitting up to a size 14/16, but it also looks good on smaller sizes. I’m quite petite and I can look drowned in some clothing, but I can wear this well as it’s designed to look loose and floaty. The only thing I would say is that if you’re wider in the shoulders, it may make the sleeves finish a little shorter but I think they are meant to be three quarter anyway! ~~~ The Feel The fabric is sheer and soft, and feels amazing on top of bare skin. You can of course wear this over your favourite lingerie, but I like wearing it over my naked skin! I like the way my nipples can just about be seen through the fabric, giving a teasing glimpse of flesh to my husband. ~~~ Recommendations I’d recommend this to a multitude of sizes as there’s ample room in this robe, but it still looks good on a smaller person. If you like sexy lingerie but like to keep something semi-hidden to tease your partner, then you can use the robe to tease and tempt them into your bedroom, and perhaps perform a sexy strip-tease! It’s also great for covering up shoulders / upper arms if you are a bit shy. If you want something warm for cold nights then I wouldn’t wear this as it’s a light, gentle fabric ideal for hot nights – I’m not necessarily referring to the air temperature!

Love this robe! Its utterly gorgeous to wear over lingerie or nothing at all. The quality of the robe feels so luxurious, and the ribbon around the middle is soft and thick – sometimes on silk robes the tie is often limp and pathetic.My OH couldn’t take his eyes off me when he walked in on my cooking in this sexy piece.

Stunning robe
Originally I bought the robe with the intent of wearing it with lingerie, but, after reading previous reviews, I now also wear it to dress up jeans and a black vest top. I managed to get it at sale price with a free gift (which actually costs more than the robe itself if you pay for it) so I found it to be worth the price I paid. Material is of good quality and doesn’t look “cheap” at all.

I saw this robe when looking for new lingerie and decided to buy as it was on a deal. It’s good quality and very sexy looking. Love that it’s see through too so can see my underwear through the robe. I waited until date night after it arrived, put some sexy underwear on and the robe over. My Husband loved it but it didn’t stay on long.
